Our trip is in November. We've pretty much got all the other days figured out but I'm wondering if anyone has any suggestions for what to do about a TS meal for our last day at the parks? We're planning to hit MK in the Morning and then hop over to HS for Osborne Lights at 6:30pm. There are 2 adults and 5 kids. Kids are 6,9,12,13,15. Here is where we're eating so far in our planning:

Akershus (dinner)
Tuto Italia (dinner)
Tusker House (breakfast)
Boma (dinner)
Crystal Palace (breakfast)

Thanks in advance!

I still don't know at which resort we will be eating, but I just posted a thread asking for suggestions for dinner at the Epcot resorts (Beach Club, Yacht Club, Boardwalk, Dolphin, Swan). Instead of staying in the park at DHS for dinner, you could do like us and take the boat over to one of these resorts for dinner. I'll be keeping an eye on both of our threads to see what ideas we get.:)

Good idea. Not sure if you knew but you can walk between Epcot and DHS. I've heard it can be faster.

I'm struggling with the timing of dinner vs. Osborne Lights at 6:30.

First, we just went to tusker house and did not like it at all. So, I would recommend yak & yeti instead. As for your last night, we love Kona at the Poly.

I'd take the bus from MK to the BC/YC, have dinner at Cape May (buffet; one side is seafood including crab legs while the other side is ribs and chicken and other traditional/American). From there you can take a boat or walk to HS. That avoids the problem of the youngest 2 being limited to the kiddie menu, assuming you are on a DDP.

Schedule the first possible dinner seating - probably 5 pm although if they open at 4:30, go for it. You should be OK for the Lights.

As far as timing, I'd say an 8:00 ADR would give you plenty of time to enjoy the lights and get to your destination (as long as it's in the HS/Epcot area).

I'd second the Cape May Clam Bake.

Thanks for the responses.

We are on the dining plan and we will have seen Fantasmic by this point in our trip (it's not offered on this day).

You have alot of options. Some would depend if you can get an adr for your party size and then on what type of food your family likes.

I would try at any restraunt you choose for 5pm. If you use a friendship boat to go to dhs from epcot its about 20 min. so figure that into your timing too.

Its only dh and I and we are going late Nov. too. We want to see the lights 2 days too and I have a cape may buffet booked for about 5:10 one night and then another night Hollywood Brown Derby, but that is 2 credits on the dining plan.

You could go to Epcot and do:
Garden Grill (characters)
Coral Reef
Both of those have atmospheres that would appeal to your family and are 1 credit

Cape May Buffet, they do have a kids section with mac and cheese, chicken nuggets etc.

In DHS itself - 1 table service would be 50's Prime Time and Mama Melrose

Look at the menus on allearsnet and maybe ask what type of food everyone likes.

Good luck planning

I know it doesn't get love on the DIS but we have always gotten a good meal at the ESPN Club:thumbsup2. We go 2x times every trip.
They don't take ADRs so you won't need to rush thru the lights at DHS to get to dinner. It is on the DDP. Just as long as there is no NFL football that night you should be ok.

OK, I know not everyone loves it, but I'll bet the kids would enjoy eating at Sci-Fi.

I loved the si fi and the 50's prime time. I think either would be fun for your family, and they are in DHS. If you are wanting to see the lights at 6:30 then do you plan to eat first or after? If before then I would try for a 4:30 or 4:45 seating. If after, then go for 7:30. The lights are amazing. Enjoy!

We have a 5:00adr at Captain's Grille on the night we want to see the lights on our Nov. trip. We will eat and then head over to see the lights before returning to our resort.
