Nov. Airfare

I am looking at tickets for Thanksgiving week from Manchester NH to Orlando. They went from 244 yesterday to 340 today !! Now I am really worried. Do I book them or do you think they will go down? I am just afraid they will go up again. Anyone have experience with traveling at Thanksgiving time??

i hear ya i called united today and the price i got from okc to mco was 310 plus tax pp.She also said the flight leaving out from mco on my return day was almost full.I am debating on buy now or wait for cheaper prices.

I have gone to DW twice over Thanksgiving (2002 & 2003). I have found rates rise right about now, and go down again in June/July. We fly out of Seattle and I have been able to get a $220 and $235 by waiting until summer. Good Luck

Thanks so much for your replies. I am going to try and wait awhile. I just start to panic when I see the high prices. Anyone else who has traveled that time of year?

We too are waiting on airfare out of Manchester Thanksgiving weekend. It stresses me a bit waiting for SW's schedule. If Jetblue has decent rates out of Boston I may look at them instead. Manchester is so easy though. Jetblue may release rates in early April. There are 10 or 12 of us going.

Pan-Am out of Portsmouth NH (the old Pease AFB, with its wicked long runways) will get you there round trip for $261, according to Orbitz (well, it'll get you to SFB, a bit farther then MCO, but not bad). On the way down, there's a connection in Manch-vegas but return is direct.

Of course, you can always wait for Southwest flights to open up, or take a connecting flight (via PIT) out of the "JetPort" (PWM) on US Air for about $300, which IMO is not a bad option, considering how convenient it is to fly out of Portland (that and Albuquerque being my fav' airports).
