Nov 6, 2011 Mickey's Mexican Fiesta

We are SO excited to be joining you all!!! We live up on the hill and have a view of the Port of LA. I watch the ships and 'wonder' how many days until we go? I need one of those tickers...
Allow me to introduce us. It is our first Disney cruise ever, there are four of us cruising DH 38, DD 3, DS 4 and me:) We are completely new to this and would love any advice you would be willing to offer. I love the idea of the FE....sounds like so much fun! where do I sign up? we have yet to be assigned a cabin.
I look forward to hearing back from fellow 11/06er's!

Hi, we're (me, DH and 9 yr old twin DD's) also on the Nov 6 Wonder Cruise. We have not posted before so cannot send information re FE but we would like to join as well as Postcard Ex. Please contact me directly so that I can forward our info. Thanks!

:goodvibes:rotfl:

Hi fellow Wonder-ers!

Mark and Cindy from Murphy, TX (north of Dallas) on our first Disney cruise. We're in cabin 8092.

We are committed Disney-philes! We have been DVC-ers for about 5 years now. We're going to WDW in 3 weeks, staying at Bay Lake Towers for 5 days.

We're excited to be cruising the Mexican Riviera.

We'll be adults only this trip. Perhaps in several more years we'll have a big family trip (we have one grandson, 1).

I'm intereisted in the FE activities, but I'm not sure I know exactly what this involves.

Would love to hear more from everyone. Cindy

We'll be on the Nov 6 cruise too! It's our third Disney Cruise and this time we are going WITHOUT kids!! We'll be celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary...ok, it was in July, but who wants to cruise in the summer? We've already booked two excursions and Palo brunch (he was NOT going to put on a tie while on vacation, so dinner was out!) So excited!!

Just stopped by to check in - it is almost the 75 day mark! :cool1: Looks like we have gained quite a few people on the thread too. Have a nice day everyone. :goodvibes

A big welcome to all that have joined. Our cruise is going to be so much fun!!
I have a few ?'s that maybe some of you vets can answer:

1- what do you think the dining schedule will be, i.e. which night is formal night, Pirate night etc.?

2- Is there any way to see how 'booked' our cruise is? We opted for a Cat 5A GTY and am wondering our chances for an upgrade??

SEVENTY-FIVE days and counting:)))

I think this is what you are looking for:
1. Based on past navigators, trip reports, and my DCL Passporter, formal night is Monday and semi formal night is Friday. Pirate night is the first Cabo night, which is Thursday.
2. I believe you can go to Expedia, pretend to book the cruise and click on choosing a stateroom. That should bring up a list of the open cabins on the cruise. The past few cruises I have been on the people who seem to get upgraded are ones who have a guarantee booked because you are guaranteed that cabin category or higher. We have always chosen a room and have never been upgraded, but we have been happy every time. :) This will be our second stay with a balcony (5B), our first stay was on deck 2 in a category 9 with just a porthole and we were happy with that as well.

Thanks Phelpsie, that is exactly what I was looking for. Looks like we both might be on the same deck:)

Welcome Aboard ... I added you to our roster

Palo dinner - check (Day 6)
Palo high tea - check (Day 2)
Palo Brunch - check (Day 7)

Nursey times - check
Spa - check

Check in time at 11:00 - check

Got everything we wanted and more. Course I did stay up til 3:00 EST to get it (j/k it was 11:00pm here in Alaska)

I reserved all the Palos but I am on the fence about them. I am going to do more research and decide if it will be something we actually do. I hate that we have to reserve this stuff and and don't really know what the schedule is gonna be. I based this on all of the other navigators...so..... crossing my fingers.

We did not book any excusions. We wanted to the dolphin thing but my daughter is 2 and is not old enough. There was nothing else that really sounded fun for us. We may book a night at an all inclusive in PV and just hang out at the resort (That is what we did in Cozumel) but we will most likey just get off the boat, go to Walmart and call it a day - then get back on the boat and enjoy the Disney goodness.

Looks like everything is still available. Love it - this might be a great time to go!

Got both brunch and dinner at Palo, as well as, the coveted 11:00am check in time:)) This being our first disney cruise, thought we wouldn't get anything!

Forgot to add, wasn't able to get the High Tea...is this the character tea I read so many writing about?
