What do y'all think of this latest hurricane? SURELY the last one of the season, no? My nerves cannot handle a November Atlantic hurricane! We have been planning this cruise for our princess forever!

Hi everyone. Just found this site! We are on the Nov 3 trip also. Me, daughter (29) grandson, his birthday is Nov 3 and he will be 12! Its a surprise for him, he thinks we are going to Cape Canaveral! Looks like tons of fun!

Welcome! My DD's b-day is 11/4 (she turns 7), and we're surprising her too! I think we are going to tell her the night of the 2nd at dinner: We have to be up at about 3 am for our flight- and 2 years ago we surprised DS with a WDW trip, and we left on that same early flight. DS and DD were still half asleep when we told them their surprise!

We have surprised Thomas before, once with Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween, and once with Christmas, but this one is the big one! We live in Florida, so we are driving down to Cocoa Beach the night before and staying there and telling him we are going to Cape Canaveral... he won't figure it out until we get to the dock!

Are the kiddos going to dress up for Pirate Night?

p.s. what does DS and DD mean?

Question for those "seasoned travelers" among us. How do you go about finding out about upgrades?

Yes, my "dear son" (DS) will dress as a pirate, and my "dear daughter" (DD) will be some sort of princess, probably Jasmine. As for upgrades, this is my first Disney cruise; but it looks from recent trip reports as if you can ask if any upgrades are available at check in. There is a fee involved; but often it is a better deal than if you had booked that stateroom in advance.

One week to go for us...We fly down the night before

We're all so excited...I've got a busy weekend packing for the 4 of us and then I'll have to get my nephews stuff on Tuesday night after school. He's in Toronto this weekend for Hockey.....

We are staying close to the airport the night before. Doing the Disney transfers this time. Too many now things with this trip to try to do it all on our own. and, I like the idea of it all being taken care of

The kiddos have 1 set of grandparents that live in Florida, they are coming up to stay that night at the same hotel to see the kids. Grandpa has been very sick and can not travel far, so this is good for him to see the kids and them to see him too.

I am just so excited!!!! Trying to get everything in order for us to go, thinking about packing and all the details.
