bigmama, that's why we changed our trip dates. the cm told me it was not very crowded...here's hoping she was right! However, others have said there's no longer a "not busy" time. Is it maybe because of us Dis-er's stirring up trips all the time???

I've heard the crowds begin to thin starting with Sunday evening (25th). Then, Monday through Wednesday continues to bring fairly light park attendance. THEN, it begins to pick up again toward the end of the week. (I think the Christmas Day parade taping takes place on the weekend of the 1st and the Pop Warner folks are getting started about then too.) So......we should see lighter than normal crowds for the first few days of our stay. ENJOY it while it lasts!

My sister and i will be going staying NOv 24th to Dec 2nd at Pop Century. First time in a value resort but we are so excited to be finally getting to go while it's all decorated for Christmas and can't hardly wait. Just waiting for flight rates to change. There kinda high coming out ov Cincinnati.

I too have heard that there really is no longer a time when it's not busy. Maybe it's a little less busy, but definitely not as quiet as it used to be. That surprises me since so many people complain about the price increases, yet we still continue to go just as often or more than in the past.

When we originally started planning this trip, we thought it would be exciting to be there for the taping of the Christmas Parade since that is hubby's bday, but from what I'm hearing, it's a madhouse and probably not worth the effort of trying to be there for the actual taping. We do have a dinner reservation off-site at Emeril's that night, which may prove to be a smart move to get away from the parks.

We have been going this week for the last few years. Although not as crazy as peak times, we have noticed the crowds growing every year. That being said, though, we booked last year a month in advance and still managed to get all our ADRs (although the Cinderella Gala Feast we didn't get until we were already there..) This year we made earlier ressies so less stress! We used to always stay at the moderates, but last year since I was between jobs we stayed at Pop. Even though I am working again, we decided to do Pop again this year as there wasn't a huge difference in our opinion (and how often are we in the room?)

We too go every year around this time, last year we flew in the day before thanksgiving, but usually we fly in on Thanksgiving day... as it will be this year I think (we are booked 11/21-11/29, but I think it will end up 11/22-11/29-- with the flight prices on the 21st being so much higher).

I agree it seems that the days between thanksgiving day and the sunday right after are busier and busier each year, but by that Sunday it seems to drop back off... to very short (if any) waits for rides... and really with fast pass it is really not that bad.

Hoepfully this year is about the same as last.

I agree with who ever posted for all the complaints of prices rising, it seems to be holding steady if not getting busier each year, so it must not be an issue for many... it isn't for us... we love the once a year trip--- If I lived within 10 hrs driving it would more often I promise you...

Disney here we come!

It should be crazy from what I read. If I wanted that on vacation I just stroll into the city. Have a good time though.

Didn't you get my PM? Yeah, I'm great about my trip. I just had a nerve block done in two places in my back so hopefully I will be able to walk by then! If not LOOK OUT! I will be a crazy driver in a wheel chair. Just watch out for your ankles! I think the parades are nuts anyway, I have no desire to stand for two hours to guard a foot of curb, but I thought the Xmas parade I might. We'll see......I just noticed your ticker...You are going to the MVMCP twice?

You can still say you were there, which is what I plan on doing. After all, we'll still be at Disney even if we're not on Main Street at MK during the actual taping.

If there are any codes out there to reduce our room rate (no package...just the room) I would love to get one. I have been looking but I just found package codes.
I am Canadian and have CAA if that helps.

We'll be stalking all the resorts looking for Mickey shaped wreaths. I'm not sure what we may do to advertise ourselves as Disers. We're staying at CBR and we've requested Trinidad South - which most people don't request, so we shouldn't be too hard to find.

I apologize for referring to you as TIKI lol ....long day here....In fact, my friend and I went to eat lunch today at a chinese restaurant. We were sitting in front of it waiting for her husband to meet us there. As we were, I was reading the name of the restaurant - Golden China BUFFET!!

Without thinking (apparently) I say to my friend, is this a buffet?? She looks at me and says That's what BUFFET stands for honey!! I looked at her with sheer shock on my face as I realize that the blonde highlights I recently got have begun to seep through my head and turn me into a blonde!!


I may try to find me a wreath also!!

We are going almost the same days as u, and same resort. I'm gonna try and make a mickey head wreath, I'm sure the xmas decor will be out well before we leave. I may put it in the window though. Are you flying or driving? We drive, so we should arrive around noon on the 26th and are staying until the 8th!! Can't wait but it will be here soon enough!
