Nov. 23-30, 2013 Seven Night Western on the Fantasy

Hi! On last year's Fantasy Thanksgiving cruise we had a choice of ham, turkey, or lobster. We felt this was the best meal of the cruise! Thanksgiving is a wonderful time to cruise. We had wonderful weather and the girls only missed 2 days of school.

I have 3 daughters cruising with us. This will be the first year they will be split into 2 different kids clubs. I would love for them to meet some friends before our cruise! Our daughters will be 6, 8, and 11. Send me a message if you are interested.

Leesburg is just down the road from us in Centreville. My daughter will be 10 on the cruise and is very excited. Looking forward to meeting folks that are local.

Wow! You are very close to us! We used to come to Chantilly for dance often. Looking forward to meeting you too!

Hi everyone. I am new to posting on this board although I have been reading it for a while now. We will be on this Thanksgiving cruise and I thought this may be a good way to meet some other families similar to ours. My daughter Caroline will be 11 and my son Colby will be 8 on this cruise. We look forward to meeting some of you. This will be our 5th Disney Cruise.

We will be on this cruise and can't wait. My DD is 11 and son will be 8, so maybe they will see each other. There seems to be a lot of 11 yr old girls!

I will be turning 60 on Thanksgiving. A cruise is a great way to celebrate lifes events. We celebrated our 40th Anniversary on our August 2012 cruise & ate at Remy right on the day. We will be celebrating DHs birthday which is on the first day of our April 2013 cruise.

We like to celebrate big events with cruises too. Last year, we did the Alaskan for our 15th wedding anniversary. We asked our oldest DD what she wanted for her 13th, she said a cruise. We laughed, but then a great Florida resident rate came out and we surprised her with one as a present. The best part, everyone gets a present when you do a cruise for someone.

:welcome: Make sure you check out the Facebook page and Fish Extender list. It is a great way to meet new people. Also, my DD will be 11 on this cruise as well.

We are cruising for Thanksgiving! We cruise for Easter as well so I have been so focused on that that I forgot to hop on this page too! We are in a gyt room so no number yet but I would love to join the FE group if it's still open!
It will be myself (Lauren) and my two kids, Ellie will be 8 and Jacob will be 5.
I will go back to the beginning of this thread so I can catch up on everything I've missed but is there a facebook group too?

I have you added !! Welcome !!!

I'll be on this cruise with a group of 20 family and friends, this is our first Disney Cruise and looking forward to it!

Can someone explain the Fish Extenders?

Any tips for first time Disney Cruisers?

Thanks!

On our last Thanksgiving cruise, several of us looked out for when Southwest, Frontier, Jet Blue etc. had released the dates for our trip. The day Southwest announced flights for this time period, prices were up within several hours. We have purchased our flights to get to Orlando Thursday night, but have not found good fares for coming home yet.

If someone sees something, let the rest of us know both here and on FB. Thanks

I know Southwest will be opening up their dates in May, although I don't have anything more specific than that.

I think as of May 1, I'll check daily. The other option is to get stuck in Orlando until flights come down.

:cool1:Hmm, now we're talking.

There are links to all of the fish extender info on post #18 of this thread.

Let me know if you are interested in doing it.

We cruised for the first time last April and the disboards really do answer 95% of your questions.

We love to talk about it though, so feel free to ask.

Welcome to the thread. We have a facebook page, too if you want to join over there.

Susan

What we may do is fly down and take the amtrak back from DC. We've taken the train down and flown back and it balances out. I'll wait for Southwest before i decide.
