Hey folks!
Our fam will be joining you at Thanksgiving 2013 for our 7th Disney cruise. It will be me, DH, DS(14) and DS(12). We just got off the Wonder for the (EBPC) Eastbound Panama Canal 14 day cruise. I am soo relaxed right now. I could totally do that cruise again!
We would love to participate in the FE. There were about 70 cabins participating for the EBPC that we had broke it down into quite a few groups e.g. those that could give to all cabins and others who could give to 20 or so.
I sent a FB friend request for the FB page (Natalie Graves Tucker).
We've done the East Caribbean before on the Magic last October. Loved St. Thomas and St. John. Didn't care for St. Maarten. Haven't done the West, but have done Costa Maya from the Panama Canal cruise. it was the first time we did an excursion that wasn't Disney and we loved it! It was costamayabeachresort.com.

Wow, 14 days !! I can't imagine being on a cruise that long. You will have to tell us more about your excursions. We definitely need some input on that.
Yes. It was the longest one we've been one and the first cruise without the kids! I created a travel blog of our Panama Canal experiences called Journey Buffet at nrgtucker.wordpress.com if you'd like to read about Costa Maya and our other fabulous experiences.

Anyone doing this one ?? We are wondering about the Western and if we should reschedule for the Eastern at another time. has anyone done the Western Itinerary ?? I would love your thoughts on this.
We just signed up for membership on our last cruise, EBPC. Our home is the AKL. Maybe I can get a few pointers from you. Learned many things on the cruise, but, I know there is much more to learn about how the system works and what many of the unmentioned benefits are. Look forward to hearing back from you in the future.Just sent a request!

Decided to take the plunge and move an onboard booking to this Thanksgiving Fantasy.Like Natalie and PirateJohn, I just recently disembarked the Wonder after 14 glorious nights of cruising and just cannot stay away. This will be my 9th cruise, first one on one of the 'big gals'. I like the smaller ships but have decided to give it a try. Also traveling are my DH Ed and DD Patricia who will be 14 at sail time. Neither of them know about this...yet.
I am no stranger to these Western Caribbean ports, so if anyone has any questions, please fire away. I admit to having a soft spot for Costa Maya and am a tiny bit disappointed we are only there for a half day, but I'll survive somehow I'm sure.We booked an excursion there through Native Choice to visit some Mayan Ruins on 12/21/12 and they were by far the best operators yet!
Please sign us up for the FE. We had a total blast on this last trip with close to 80 cabins participating in the entire group. Lots of suitcase space used but so worth it!
And as time gets closer, I might also suggest a "Cabin Crawl" as well...getting volunteers from different categories to open their doors to us nosy folks to see first hand what the different staterooms look like. It was a lot of fun and a great way to meet fellow DISers.
PS
Asked to join the FB group as well.![]()

As of right now, we are going to be on this cruise with you. We just got off the EBPC and had a blast. Met some really great pirates and ate way too much. Went ahead and booked this one because the Magic was already full. Not a fan of big boats, but, decided to give it a try since one of my shipmates was going too. Nattucker and her family will be checking in soon. Anyone getting together a FE list yet? Did our first one on the last cruise. It's a lot of work, but, it is also very rewarding. I am a giver by nature, so it was easy to go "overboard" with this one. This time only one suitcase will be dedicated to FE. LOL!

Hey!
I'm glad you'll be joining us. Will be good to see you and Pirate John again! We've done the Dream before so haven't done the Fantasy yet. They are some big ships I tell ya. We did the Dream during Spring break this year and said we would never do it again. It was soo crowded and big. Then we did it during the DVC member cruise so different experience. I do like the technology advancements, the interactiveness in the dining room, the rainforest spa experience as well as the Aquaduck. It is just a LOT of people though. Hopefully Thanksgiving will be mellow?![]()
i don't think anyone has volunteered to do the FE yet, but a stateroom crawl sounds nice. Jeff did a great job organizing ours. Maybe we could co-coordinate it?

Yeah. They were a bit upset but they couldn't afford two weeks out of school in 5th and 7th grade. Good thing my mom lives in the area so she moved in for those two weeks. We skyped while on the cruise from time to time b/c i missed them. They will be with us on the Med in August and the Thanksgiving one.

Oooo .... I would love to do that Med cruise ........
Susan, you are so right! My mind is mush. I am confusing my Med cruise with the Thanksgiving cruise. No one has volunteered for that one yet. Sorry about that. Keep on doing the excellent job you're doing!

Made some progress today toward the cruise. We booked our flights to Orlando, flying in on THursday Nov. 21st. Got a hotel for 2 nights prior to the cruise and have our rental car booked! United had 1 ticket for miles which we used. Now I'll just have to keep an eye out for the return flight, or else we're stuck in Orlando....Decided to go down a day early since my DD 12 got all A's on her report card. Though we still haven't told our kids about this cruise.
Started doing some research about excursions in Cozumel. We have done the East. Car. the past 2 cruises and have had good luck with finding local snorkel boat operators for excellent days. We don't want to do the ships excursions. Does anyone have any recommendations. I have found Eagle Ray, but they get a couple of poor and terrible recs on Trip Advisor. We've been to Cozumel twice but it's been a while. Now our kids are older and great snorkelers. I know the reefs are really excellent there.
Haven't been to Costa Maya, anyone have any recommendation for snorkeling there? I think in Grand Cayman we'll do a beach day at 7 mile or try for Sting Ray City. We've done both and think they are great. Is there enough time on our short day to get to Sting Ray City? Recs on operators for thata?
We'll be joining you on this cruise. It's me (Diane - 49), DH (Ben - 47), DD Caroline (9) and DS Carson (6). It'll be our fourth cruise on Disney; first on the Fantasy. Looking forward to our first 7-night.
Kayluhhh said:Hi guys! I just got off the Fantasy about a week ago and we've already got our next one booked! I am 14 and I was wondering if any of you guys had any kids that are going along so we could make a kids thread for this cruise. Last time we made one and it was nice so all the kids could talk before and get to know each other.![]()
I know both of my girls would love this! My DD will also be 15 and is really looking forward to meeting other kids before we cruise. My other DD will be 13 so they will be in two different clubs on this cruise. Last cruise they had an absolute blast with everyone they met. Let us know if you set something up! Great idea!
