Nov,20th, 2011 Mexico

Saw on another thread that cruise docs are coming in. :dancer: Did anyone get theirs today? Those of us that booked with a TA will get them later. :rolleyes1

Nope, not yet, but I expect them this week b/c we received our Nov. 12th sailing docs last week. :thumbsup2

Gotta start to think about packing. :rotfl:

What excursions, if any, are you doing in Cabo & PV? & Did you book them (all) thru Disney or do it on your own?

In PV-- the canopy tour
Cabo-- the folkloric dance and cultural tour
Hubby and Oldest DS going on the 4x4 as well

We did all of our excursions through Disney.

Last year we were on the Carribean cruise, and 1 of the excursions scheduled through DCL the guide came and told us that the water was too murky (snorkeling tour) and we were able to be refunded on our tour. When we went into the port, A LOT of other people were trying to sell us that same tour and NONE of them were tellling us the water was murky.

We like the guarantee too that if we are running late (the tour is late), the boat will not leave us. We were only brave enough in 1 port to go out without an excursion planned.

Gotta start to think about packing. :rotfl:

Have to tell a funny thing that happened. Last weekend, we were getting plans squared away with meeting with our in-laws and going to Knott's Berry Farm the day before the cruise, and I had asked if they thought they would be packed and ready to go the day before the cruise...my BIL said, "Oh, it will be no problem, I plan to just pack a pair of shorts, some shirts and a pair of slacks, so I don't know what all the fuss is about. I am going on vacation."

It reminded me that I am an over-planner and over-packer. My SIL said, "Have you even seen the list of packing things that she sent over?????"

I had sent them a packing list that I use and it includes lots of extra things that are not deemed necessary from the minimalist standpoint.

Can't wait to get on the boat!

I know what you mean. I have various piles of things all over the house for the trip so the night before I can just go around and pull the piles together into suitcases and be done with it. I SHOULD have a list, but can't seem to get THAT organized.

This is the list without Marukochan, and SmedonSeas. We have room numbers for Sneeches, just not sure what room.

I'm going to consider this list final, except for potential room number changes.

Thanks, Chicogirl, for your hard work.

Ok now that the list is squared away, let's talk about a place to all meet on board. I'd like it to be the first day, just incase any of you try for pixie dust, and get new room numbers. Any ideas for a good spot? And time?

LOL! I'm a lot like you. ;) Just to tell you how bad I am, we went to FL 2 weeks ago for a work thing for my DH & my MIL was watching our girls. The note I left her w/ instructions, schedules, etc. was 6 typed up pages. :rotfl2: Yeah, I have a problem. :lmao:

I suggest Promenade Lounge (Deck 3 - Aft) @ 3:30?

This is how I am as well! I can't even begin to imagine the number of pages of "instruction" that my IL's will have when I leave them the kids while I go on the 15 night Hawaii cruise. I should probably get started on that now with just 200 days left! :rotfl2:

Is this ok with everyone, let me know. Thanks

This sounds good as of right now. My kids do not know about this cruise and they definitely don't know that their freinds will be on this cruise too. My friend and I are setting up the surprise for once we are on the ship. We should have the surprise done before 3:30 but if not, then we won't be able to make it. My freind just isn't sure what time they will be able to get to the ship.

My friend and I are not getting off the ship with our kids. She did, however, book the scuba diving excursion through DCL in PV (at least I think it was PV!) for her Dh. He is a little hesitant going by himself though. I think he has watched too many Dateline stories where the diver got left behind! LOL I told my friend we'll start questioning where her Dh is at before the ship pulls away from port! :lmao:

We most likely will not get off the ship either, but we are signed up for one excursion in Cabo (the resort pool thingy). It is still a toss-up because I watch too much Dateline about the drug cartels in Mexico. I know, I know. When I was in NYC and terrorist threats were high, I didn't worry too much because I did not have DD with us. It is just different when you are with your kids. I am still debating the whole port situation.

Waiting! Waiting! Cannot wait for those Docs. Everyday after school I run to the mailbox; it is like Christmas...waiting for that very special gift!

You rock! I know it is a big job! I appreciate it so much! I cannot wait to start exchanging those FE gifts. Let's get this party STARTED already. Remember your first DOTD is on me!

I can't wait to sail on the Wonder and enjoy the holiday on the highseas!

Oh, I have missed her! We have not been on the Wonder since 2004!

We have not been on the Wonder for 7 years!

My TA was on the Wonder last week, and she confirmed that Christian is still the cruise director (for the time being).
