NOV 2014 car rentals

I'm ready to start the pursuit for the best car rental I can get for my Nov trip. My DH calls me the "Queen of Rental Car Discounts". Who else will be on the hunt with me? This trip will be a little unusual. I need a rental for just the 2 of us for 4 days. Then dropping that car off and picking up a mini van for a week with my DD and her family.
I'll be purchasing their tickets through Undercover Tourist. They had a very good price for the mini van through Alamo but want to price it our directly with them and through carrental to see if I can get anything better. Does anyone know if I can add a code if booking through Undercover? I'm guessing not but as I said I didn't get that far. Also looks like I may have to pay up front but can still cancel without penalty.

I'm in the hunt with you madaboutMickey. I need a midsize for Nov 1 - 9.

Best I've seen is FireFly for $151 but it's my mother-in-laws first ever Orlando trip and I don't want to take any chances of something going wrong like the rental car and causing a bad experience. Way too many bad reports still coming in for FireFly but the do appear to be getting their act together slowly.

I've booked my next best price with Thrifty through the Southwest site. I added on a AAA Michigan code I got from the Thrifty site for $212 total.

Based on past rentals I think I should be able to find a midsize for 9 days in early November for under $150 once it gets closer to the date and more incentives are offered (I hope).
