Nov. 2011

I called Disney on Sunday and had our current packages changed to the free dining and upgraded to the regular dining plans we had before. There are 14 of us going on this reunion trip that my dad is paying for entirely. Who's the favorite daughter?!?!?!? I AM!!! I saved my dad $2,960.00!!!!!!!!!!! Needless to say, he loves me!! :rotfl: I'm just so glad I could save him some money!!

Reservations changed over, flights booked, ADR's done....all that's left now is.....THE WAIT!! :scared1:

I am soooo excited for our Nov. trip! I hope to see alot of Christmas decorations as its our 1st trip during that time of year! I have read mixed reviews about the weather. I hope for sunny warm weather. :goodvibes I know it will be warmer there then here!:thumbsup2 We plan to attend MVMCP too!:santa:

At 100 days out, I started my kids saving $1.00 a day. By doing this they will each have $100.00 to spend!:woohoo: My kids enjoy looking in their savings bucket and counting! :yay:

We will be at the Poly the same week, did that week in 2010 as well and the weather was gorgeous. Sunny, breezy, warm (not hot) and not humid.

Don't forget to stop by the Grand Floridian to see (and smell!) the Gingerbread House.

Thanks!!!! We will have to stop and check it out! I collect gingerbreadmen so it will be wonderful to see!!!:)

Anyone have any scoop on room only discounts for November and December? I have my "dream stay" booked for after Thanksgiving but will have to change if the discounts don't happen.

Haven't heard a word, at least not a good word about fall discounts.

I finally paid off my November trip this past weekend because I am a little discouraged about the lack of discounts....not even a credible rumour about them yet

I know I want the resort and room type I have reserved so I will be staying there, discount or not, but I'm not happy about paying rack rate. At least if a discount does come and I can apply it to my room (which I'm not at all certain will happen since the rooms are already going quickly with FD and AP discounts) I will be able to get at credit applied to my CC.

Usually this time of year, I already have a discounted resort room and all my ADR's booked. Not very happy with Disney this year!

Well this trip may just be a 2 night dream trip and the other 4 nights back at Pop. But I can keep lurking and hoping. :surfweb:

Pin codes are out for certain dates in November. . .
Was lucky enough to get a 35% pin code off deluxe starting on 11/26:cool1:, but planned on trip starting on 11/24, which means two nights at rack rate ($570), plus need two rooms due to party size. So booked cl at BC for 11/24 - 29th anyway. Now after a return from Gaylord Palms for a tradeshow trying to decide if we should stay there for first 2 nights ($250 p/nite) & see ice display and transfer to BC :confused3. Hate to give up BC for a few nites, but it makes financial sense :guilty:.

We've finally booked our November trip :cheer2: I've tried probably all kinds of tricks mentioned here and still have not received anything close to a PIN! So, before running out of rooms, we decided to just book using the FD offer. This really gives me some kind of reassurance that we ARE going--who doesn't like that?! :thumbsup2 So here are our dates:

Nov. 2-6 at POR
Nov. 13-17 at WL

I'm sure I'm not the only one super excited about a WDW trip... but can you believe we're 2 months away from November!!! :woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:

Yeah for you! I felt the same way when we finally booked and we never got a PIN either.:guilty:

It was the GAME ON pin and it covered November 1 - 18, and 26 - 30. It was for 16% off when you purchased a package. Since it would have saved me over $600.00 I figured I would give it a try since the RO discounts are seemingly not in the immediate future (the CM told me today they still have discounts out there that you can book until October 1st so I'm not sure if that means the new discounts won't come out until then???)

Oh, and by the way, my resort was not available so I am still waiting...:surfweb:

Called Disney tonight to see about a room only discount...DENIED! :sad1: Sweet Connie Sue asked if I had gotten any offer in the snail mail or email. Of course I've haven't gotten anything and all she could tell me was to keep looking and calling back. So in the words of Ricky Bobby, Dear Lord baby Jesus, lyin' there in your ghost manger, just lookin' at your Baby Einstein developmental videos, learnin' 'bout shapes and colors. Please let me get a room only discount offer from Disney real soon!! :rotfl2:

Just 57 days till our family goes to Disney. I am so excited it is my grand daughters first trip (twin 3yr olds and a 5 yr old) I was there this past February with my son and his family, enjoyed seeing his sons enjoy the magic. I think I am worst then the kids, I have been counting since 265days out. This will be the first time I get to see the Christmas decorations.

Will the Christmas decorations be out then? We were there last year Nov. 8 and there were no decorations up yet.

We were at Epcot and stayed at the Beach Club Villas, there was no decorations up there on Nov 8 2010. Maybe the Magic Kingdom resort decor goes up first because of MVMCP

That is correct. The MK is decorated in time for the first party, with the exception of the big Christmas tree which doesn't go up until after the parade taping the first weekend of December. The resort and other park decorations go up throughout early to mid November.

Thanks a bunch. My friends and I love using that quote. I figured it couldn't hurt in this case either. :rotfl: I'm just starting to get nervous that I won't be a lucky one for a discount and will have to rebook my resorts. I've got 2 nights at CR with a MKV and 4 at WL and paying rack rate will KILL my budget! :scared1: I wanna have enough time to get something within my budget.
