Nov. 2011

I also have already purchased airfare - had a great price about a month ago - personally I feel 95% sure there will be some kind of general package discount for our dates (11/12 - 11/20) for POFQ and about 99.9% there will be some kind of room only discount (30% maybe) - not even mentioning the fact that I will *probably* get a PIN code as well - but even if none of these 3 happen we can always stay offsite...gasp...did I just say that. :)

I've planned our case flow based on these 4 options and while we would be able to do a lot more fun stuff (MMVCP, Park hopper, Hot Air Balloon Ride, a couple table service meals, etc) if we get the best discount, we are going regardless....

And on the plus said, if they don't have many general public discounts then maybe the parks won't be has crowded as they could be....

Todd :wizard:

Todd - you sound like me...except for the great airfare...hopefully we'll both be rockin the discount come mid-July and we'll see you round the dragon slide!

Has anyone at all here received a pin for Jersey week yet?

Did the 2010 fall discount include it or was it blacked out. Sure hope we get something for the second week of November or our resort for the first half of our split stay will be changing for sure!!!

TIA

Last year I do believe there was some sort of room-only offer available for those dates, but the free dining offer had a long black out from a few days before Halloween until the end of Jersey Week/after Veteran's Day.

I'm glad to hear that. I'm not from Jersey but that happens to be the week we're going. I'd be happy with a room-only discount.

Been waiting and waiting for a free dining pin. Trying all the tricks to no avail. Finally today for giggles I sent a request through to DreamsUnlimited. We always use Michele there. She sent me a quote back and sure enough a pin was attached to my name for Free Quick Service dining....Thrilled! We were just there in December and did get free quick service then too but upgraded to regular dining. I'm fine with doing just quick service this time. Have a pow-wow with DH tonite...cross your fingers! Ha!

Plan to stay at Pop November 9th - 16th.

Call direct or try using DU.

Glad to see that someone else got this pin. Good luck to all.:wizard:

So glad to see the DY9 code is helping some people get a discount. When I called back to check on the code, I remember the CM did say it is very much a 'date specific' code. Again, she said there was absolutely no mention of it being a BB offer.

Keep trying and good luck!

This is what I was told as well. The CM I spoke with also said the code was expiring on 6/30/11. I'm thankful we were able to use it for some of our dates. I wish all the phone CM's could be pleasant, helpful and most of all consistent!

Wishing everyone going in November pixiedust: for room discounts, free dining and lower airfare.

HI, Newbie here! I'm trying to figure out 2 things-just realized what 'jersey week' is, but are there typically any discounts for that week?
And I see 'bounce back offer' mentioned alot-can someone explain that please?

During the January discount offers for the fall 11', after much deliberation I booked a suite knowing no offers applied. Now I'm reconsidering and wondering since my trip is booked, can I switch the room to a standard, and still secure some type of discount?

We will be at PC for that week. Texas is going to take over WDW! :cool1:

Ugh, I guess we're gonna cancel.

I kid! I kid! Why, because I'm a kidder!

Q1: "Jersey Week" has seen discounts in the past, usually not free dining. It really isn't all that more crowded then other weeks...but it often includes Veteran's Day too, which I think makes it an appealing week to many.

Q2: "Bounce back" is an offer that you get in your resort room when you are there, and are only allowed to book it before you leave. Sometimes they are pretty good, sometimes not so good.

Q3: You can change your reservation pretty easily any time before the 45 day deadline when you have to pay the full amount. After that there's a change penalty of $50. (I assume when you say suite you are talking at All-Star Music...they never are discounted that I know of.)

As a PP said, there's close to 100% probably there will be some sort of discount in Oct-Dec. How good it is is very much up in the air.

Thanks so much! (oh, when I said suite, no I meant we have a 1 BR suite booked at the GF, and no discounts applied to my booking at the time. sorry I wasn't clear.)
Ok, so if I already have something booked now, and an offer pops up sometime this summer for the week we decide to travel, I can't call and try to apply that offer to my existing reservation, right? I'd have to make an entirely new reservation to get any discounts? Sorry, learning all this...

If you have a reservation and learn of a discount code, you can just call up and have it applied to your reservation. No need to cancel and rebook. Just tell them you want to apply a discount code.

I was trying to wait for a special but I remember last year it was the middle of July when we got our pin code for Free Dining for November and December in the middle of July.

So I bought our airfare yesterday with the deal that is going on and am just hoping for a really good deal from Disney! :wizard:

Glad you got a good deal on airfare.:thumbsup2 I would have loved to have gone ahead and booked airfare, because you know they'll release some kind of discount.:rolleyes1 But when DH would have found out that I did that, I would have been served with divorce papers.

Here's hoping for November discounts for all of us!:goodvibes

So happy we got our airfare booked! I'm still holding out hopes for a free dining code. By my calculations free dining would knock off just enough cost that I would have about 90-95% of the trip in my "fund" already! Come on FREE DINING!

I just called to try DY9 code and was told it was expired!! It is crazy how we all get different answers , it shouldn't be this hard, it's like buying a car from a dealership! Guess I will try again with a different person.:confused3

I just called and told it was a valid code, but that my dates were blacked out. Nov 10-14th.....looks like we are all getting different answers!

I will call today and see what I get told. I had a KZ2 code for a BB but my rom type wasnt available. KZ2 is a BB code BTW.

Hi! I have to admit that I have not read the entire thread and I'm sure this has been asked already. My DH and I have decided to go back to Disney for thanksgiving. We want to check in the saturday before and leave the day after thanksgiving. We were thinking of staying at Pop and buying APs since we know we're going back in June 2012 and some weekend trips (only if we had APs). Has there ever been any discount thanksgiving week? We could upgrade our tickets to APs when we get there right? I would either want a discount or free dining but we have to stay at a value if we want APs. Thanks!

Ok... The DY9 code. I am a Disney Travel Planner and I called over to my reservation center to clarify what this code is. Here is the deal... When CM's initially pull this up it doesn't tell them it is a bounceback offer right off hand, they actually have to go to another screen to see that. If they choose not to look on that screen then they will not know and CAN look up deals. It is not expired. It is DEFINITELY a bounceback offer though. It just depends on which CM you get and whether they take that extra step to see what the code is.

This will be our 3rd time going for Tday. The discounts are always blacked out during that week, BUT, the loop hole we have experienced for free dining was if you check in on the last day before the blackout (either Thur or Fri before that week) it will carryover the whole reservation.

When we went in 2005 we booked with a discount on room and it carried over the whole trip - not so now, rates are daily.

Hope that helps. We will be arriving on the 16th and leaving on the 26th.
