First time going in November... Are Christmas decorations up?? Any events during that time?? How are the crowds and I know the weather changes all the time but what is the average??

Yes, the decorations will be up and Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Parties will be held 4 times/week.

We were there during that timeframe in 2010 and even with it being Veterans' Day, the parks and the Party we attended weren't very crowded. The Osborne Lights in DHS are also up by then... not sure if they are there for this year but in the past few years they are up and turned on the same night MVMCP begins.

That is a great week to go! Nice weather, not bad crowds, decorations will be up:)

I'm not familiar with the party do you purchase tickets for this in advance??

Yes they are separate from a regular park admission. Party guests enter @ 3:45/4:00 and can remain in the park until midnight. Regular day guests leave @ 7:00.

Tickets should go on sale in May.

Forgot to add Food & Wine at Epcot until the second weekend in November.

Thanks for the info :)

You're welcome! DD took this photo at last year's party and thanks to Robo and his amazing Photoshop skills, it is perfect!

This is my favorite week of the year to go! The weather is nice, the crowds are manageable, the Christmas decorations are up by the end of the week. The Food and Wine Festival will probably end on the 9th, so you'll miss that.

Nothing at Epcot or AK (or the resorts) until after Thanksgiving though, right? I can't remember for sure.

Trees and decorations are up at all four parks. It's the resorts that are later in November. The gingerbread displays were up around November 19th or so.

I was there that week in 2010. Crowds were easily manageable. Decorations were up. But, I found the temperatures a little cool for the pool. We stayed at BC and never really got to enjoy Stormalong Bay. So sad. Daytime temps were "comfortable" but we were in jackets and jeans by sunset. Just adding this because it made a difference in our plans for this year. We changed to October for a better chance of warmer weather. Also, since we've seen the Christmas decorations, we wanted to see Halloween.

We were there that week in 2010 also and will be going back the same week this year (7-15th though). The major downside of my week is that it starts with Veterans Day weekend, which is probably going to be very busy (didn't plan that too well, but at least we get 2 nights of F&W before it ends!). But you will miss Veterans Day and the crowds the rest of that week are supposed to be pretty low (& from what I recall in 2010, they were very manageable).

The weather was some of the best we've ever had in Disney. It was probably average temps for that week when we were there in 2010. We come from the north so I want a warm/sunny vacation, but I hate to be sweltering/sweaty/hot, and that week was warm but not hot. Evenings got cool (60s) and you will definitely need jeans and a sweatshirt if it's at all breezy. Swimming or sitting at the pool was an option, but only during peak sun hours (I think it was 70s and 80s)--once the sun started going down, it got way too cool to sit out in a bathing suit.

Get excited--only 7 months away! :)

Yes I'm from Massachusetts so going to Florida in November will most likely be alot warmer :)

I was there that same timeframe last year. The weather was great, most of the Christmas decorations were up. We went to hs for the Osborne Christmas lights for the first time. That was definitely worth seeing. Also, I know Disney has been cutting back on free dining but if they do the same as last year, they usually offer it the second and third week of November.
