Nov.1 2009 on the Wonder! it's never too early to chat!the

Welcome glad you found us. So do you have any before or after plans for the cruise. Any excursions booked? I get to book mine at Midnight so I'm sitting here waiting patiently.

I'm also waiting patiently to book excursions at midnight.

I'm waiting too.... :cool1:

What are you guys booking? We're doing snorkeling at CC and the city tour of the Bahamas, marching flamingos included!

I would like to book the sea lion encounter in Nassau and the walking/kayaking tour on CC.

Got everything that I wanted and more.

Sea Lion Encounter in Nassau - 9:30 am
CC Kayak & Walking Tour
Palo Brunch of Sea Day - I've been debating this one. Booked it because there was a lot of availability for parties of 1-2. Now I have time to think about it.

Only 75 days to go. One last thing out of the way.

Got everything I wanted too!

Ardastra Gardens & City Tour at 12:45 in Nassau
Extreme Getaway on Castaway Cay
and massages during the day at sea, ending with dinner at Palo!

The finance doesn't know about the massages yet, hopefully he'll agree!

Can't wait now! :bride:

I just finished signing my kids up for the kids club and I also booked a Palo Brunch - I wasn't planning on it but when it was available I figured - why not?

Just got done playing around on the site. I didn't have much to book but got what I wanted. We booked the Stingray excursion on CC. We booked it in groups so we didn't have to put the two little ones in childcare. So me, my mom, and my oldest dd will do it at 10am, then dh and my 6yo dd at 11am. I registered all 3 of the kids in the kids clubs even though the 6yo may be the only one to use it. We didn't schedule any hours with flounders because my 3yo is really shy and I know she will not do the clubs so no point in putting the 1yo in flounders if I'll still have the 3yo. The 3yo is potty trained so she would have been in the OC. I will probably take them to some of the activities there and sit to the side. The 6yo is really outgoing so I'm sure she will participate in anything she can. I did pull up Palo to check availability even though we don't plan on booking it. Seems like Dinner was no problem only 3 or 4 times were blocked out but brunch only had tables for 2. I might have been motivated to book the brunch had they had a table for 3 open and then worked it out with my 15yo to watch the others but since there were only tables for 2 open it made the decision easier. We decided we will do a beach day at Nassau through one of the hotels ourselves so nothing to book there. Once they took away the ability for us to book the dolphins ourselves we just decided the extra cost and paying full price for the 3yo wasn't worth it.

I just did this too! Palo was not on our to do list either. I forgot that today was the 75 day mark. For once, I don't have to get up in the middle of the night to do something. Its only 3pm here.

I am a bit worried about my 3 year old, as he is not fully toilet trained yet. We keep telling him that there are only night time nappies on Mickey's boat.

Congratulations to everyone for getting what you all wanted.:cool1: We are all going to have such a great time. I can't wait:yay::yay::yay:

Thanks for the well wishes. We will be arriving on the 30th and going to the Halloween party on the 31st. After we get back we plan to spend a few days at Sea World/Aquatica - have done Disney a bunch of times with the kids, so wanted to try somthing different.

Booked Palo for dinner on CC night (whether we go will depend on whether our 4 year old likes to stay at the OC) and booked the stingray excursion for my husband and older son at CC. Thinking of the bikes as well.

Only allowing me too book reservations for parties of 5 or more. Anyone else having this problem? Anyone interested in joining us for brunch? ;-)

That's weird it was only showing me tables for 2 available for brunch. Maybe it's something wrong with the system. I would join you but I'm almost 100% sure my 3yo won't do the clubs.

That's sweet - I am worried that my 4-yeard old won't do the club - so any Palo reservations are "tentative" ;-)

Is anyone planning on doing their own thing in Nassau? I think DH might stay on board, but my DD18 and my two younger boys will come with me to explore. We plan on taking a taxi over to Atlantis and touring the free walkaround area which includes the aquariam, then we'll go back to the mainland and walk around the shops, visit the straw market, then back to the ship. Looking forward to it!

My kids are now seeing Hidden Mickey's everywhere! Youngest saw one in the clouds yesterday. Here's one of him inside a Mickey head my eldest made in our hallway the other day after playing with the Hoola Hoops.

Great picture!

Our plan is to stay on the boat while we are in Nassau. My brother, SIL, niece & nephew are actually going to be staying at Atlantis when we are there and my kids would LOVE to go see them, but I just can't justify spending so much money to go spend the day with them. The cruise is too short, so we are going to stay on the ship and enjoy the pool and activities there.

What a handsome little man! Sounds like your kids are excited and ready to go. My 3yo asks me every time we go out now if we are going to Mickey's. She doesn't get the concept of time so it's hard to explain we still have a little over 2 months to go. We plan to go to one of the hotels beaches, probably the Wyndam if it's still offered. I read a few reviews and it sounds nice it includes use of their and the neighbor hotels pool and beach and a buffet lunch or coupon for lunch for $40 according to the reviews. Just have to see if it's still available. Still a lot with a family of 6 but not as bad as the excursions. I know that one of the places the 7 day cruise stops at has a turtle farm, wish there was one in Nassau my bunch would love that. The beach days at Atlantis and Blue Lagoon are still $80 so I guess they are out too. We were just going to stay on the boat but I'm 33 and have never been out of the country I have to get off the boat.

I do feel guilty about not getting off the boat since we've never been to the Bahamas. I guess it doesn't count as being there if you never step foot on land.

I'm so glad that everyone was able to get the reservations they wanted.

I booked the Atlantis myself for $231 for the 4 of us and it includes beach, pool, aquarium, etc. Cast Away Cay we wont be going on any excursions, just beaching it. :)

Last November my DH and DS12 went parasailing in Castaway Cay, they LOVED It. My son wants to do it again but, i'm not spending the money for the same thing twice.

You will be fine walking around seeing the shops on your own. We always have a lot of fun looking in the little shops picking up inexpensive souveniers.

I have always wanted to go parasailing. I would love to go with my DS10 and he said yes he wanted to do it, but I can tell he's not too sure. I'm afraid he'll spend the day at Castaway Cay with a stomach ache from being nervous about the parasailing. I have it booked right now - just in case, but I will probably have to cancel it. Does anyone know what the cancellation policy is on shore excursions and activities?
