Nov 1 2007 on the Wonder??

:cool1: We're near the laundry room so I hope that doesn't make it a noisy area. I can't wait!!! I have the countdown on the fridge. 51 days to disneyworld. I've been reading terrible reviews about Ohana for dinner so I'm trying to decide if we should skip it. But its so convenient to our resort. Too many decisions. Did you see the list of all the food and wine/beer for the Food and wine festival? It looks good. We just found out Truman has to miss the championship football games. Its the same weekend we leave so he's a little bummed. But i'm sure he will get over it on the plane. Have i mentioned I can't wait to go.:rotfl: Do you know if Tanner is going to have check in/out privleges, I'm debating on that one. I think I'll bring walkie talkies for the ship though. Talk with you soon. Amber

I am on vacation from work this week. Back in Maryland. Anybody else work? what do you do?

My stateroom is 6547. Not to far from the elevators.

Are you making any shirts for your family? Magnets for the door?

I'm not sure if Tanner is going to have check in/out priv. I'll have to remember to ask his Mom.

Hi Bette

I may get some magnets for the room door. We are not doing special cruise shirts but i have bought a few disney clothes from disney.com. they have some good sales. I am a dental hygienist for a kids dentist. I'm the "sleepy water lady" give the shots and then fill and carve the fillings after the dentist preps the teeth. I work for a great office and its amazing to see how well young kids can do at the dentist. My husband manages the familys Irish restaurant pub downtown and thoroughly enjoys coaching football for Trumans 5th grade class. I love planning vacations. I think i should have been a travel agent. What kind of work do you do? Do you have a place in Maryland? How long does it take to get to Maryland from your home? We have Sandpoint ID and Couer d'Alene ID near us for fun quick getaways. I paid for our vacation today so I guess I can't change my Poly room now. My poor travel agent I must have changes my mind 100 times.:confused3 Are you having dinner at Palo? I changed our dining to late seating and booked Palo for the last night. I booked Cirque tickets last night. Its a surprise for the family. I've heard good things about the show. Have you ever been? Well better put the children to bed. Talk to you soon.

Hello Amber and Sarah

I am in the middle of making some magnets for the door. We have 3 rooms so I have alot to finish. A few months ago I made about 30+ shirts for the 4 kids but found out (after some were washed) that the iron-on transfers I bought didn't work. The designs washed off. There are some design created by the wonder dis designers the kids want so I have to start making them.

I am a logistics supervisor at Coca-Cola. I order all the raw materials for filling cans and bottles. I also have to do a three month forecast for every vendor monthly for each raw material. I have to do work on my vacations. So I am trying to get my orders done tonight. The only advantage to that is I can take a few days off during the year as "bonus" days. There are other odd jobs I have to do also. My dh also works at Coca-Cola. He is the maintenance manager. So, I won't be going to Palo He is not going on the trip. He doesn't like to fly.

We have a townhouse on the bay in Ocean City, Maryland. We have a 21' fishing/sport boat behind the house. We also have a motorcycle. I'm a motorcycle granny :rotfl2: It takes us 3-4 hours to get to Maryland from New Jersey.

I have never been to Cirque. Is that near downtown Disney?

Have to stop now and finish my work. Talk to you later, Bette

How are you making magnets? Are you doing a sheet? I'm not very crafty but it sounds like you are. I think a motorcycle would be great fun. I just turned 40 in August so maybe i can use the midlife crisis excuse. How wonderful to have a place near the water. That's my dream. We have a swimming pool but that's as close as I've come. Still dreaming about my lake place some day. Thats why I think I'll love cruising. I told DH that i plan to prebook onboard then move the reservation to Dec 2009. If you or Sarah would like to join us at Palo since you don't have your dh's with you we would love to have you. We're over the romantic dinner thing:rotfl: we just like good food and company. Cirque is at downtown disney. I'm trying not to pack too many things in but its hard. What day are you going Sarah? The children have found me so I'll talk with you later.

There are two different ways to do magnets. One is that you can print out the design, laminate it and use magnetic tape on the back. I bought magnetic paper, print the design on the paper and cut.

Only 6 more weeks!! I have to get busy. I have alot of shirts and magnets to finish.

Eliana and I have been very sick the last 2 weeks, hence, no recent replies. I am a day surgery RN at a large hospital here in Portland, OR. I work full time, 4-10 hour shifts. Since I'm just on my break right now this post won't be long but I just wanted to say hello.
The Cirque de Soleil has it's own big building at Downtown Disney but it's a first time for me so I'm not sure what it's like.
My family and I personally loved Ohana. Especially their chicken wings. Yum!
I think you need to try a little of everything cuz some of the places that don't get reviewed that well may end up being your family's favorite. You never know.
...Sarah

Sorry to hear that the two of you were sick. Glad you are better.

I have been told my some friends that Cirque de Soleil is amazing. They have seen it in Vegas. Hope you enjoy it.

We have tickets for Sea World. We'll go either Sunday or Monday.

Do you have your cabin # yet?

I send you a private message that boo'd you!

Tell Eliana Carly said hello.

Hello fellow cruisers!

We are almost in the 20's on the countdown. Tessa and I are trying to trick Truman about how many days until we go but her secret skills are not the best. Everyday she wants to tell him. It sounds like Oct is going to be busy. The Contemporary has been full for months (a political convention I think), and the other deluxe resorts have limited rooms available. The Poly only has garden views left. Do you guys fly home directly after the cruise? The travel channel has had the disney cruise line and WDW specials lately. Its amazing how they built WDW and Castaway Cay. Well I really just wanted to say I'm so excited!! Talk to ya soon. Thanks for the boo. PS It's probably great you got any illnesses out of the way now so you won't be sick at WDW (my worst nightmare). So glad you're on the mends. Do they sell airborne where you live? I think it works great and plan on taking before and during our travels.

I don't see your bouncin' mickey. Did you have a problem installing it? I just learned how to put a picture in the signature and I see you have a ticker line! How did you do that?

I think I am more excited than the kids. They are all busy with school and sports.

I couldn't get my bouncing mickey only the address showed up?? I went to ticketfactory.com and pasted that url to my signature. My travel agent sent me an email and said my disney documents are here.:cool1: I can't wait!!!!! Any advice on my bouncing mickey?

I had to keep deleting mine and starting over. Someone told me to make sure there is only one http at the beginning. Mine had two so I just highlighted one and deleted it. Then it worked. Let me know if that doesn't work.

I did it!! Thanks for the help. It's starting to get cold here. Its making me excited to go to warmer weather.:cool1:

I don't know about you but I'm getting nervous. I drive myself crazy trying to plan everything. Will I take the right clothes, what will I forget, etc. Spent a few hours last night and finished some more shirts. Still have some more to do. Then I have to finish my magnets. Carly's bday is next and I'm making HSM2 shirts for her.

Guess we won't get to meet until the ship. Everybody will be doing the MNSSHP on different nights. I don't think any of our adr will be at the same time. The girls will be going to BBB and the castle on 10/30. Amber, I know you will be staying in stateroom 7596. Sarah, what is your stateroom number?

Talk to you later

Bette

I don't know that I've been assigned a stateroom # yet. I have a guaranteed category 12 (I was going for cheap since it's just the 2 of us). Eliana and I will be at the Magic Kingdom on the 30th since we'll be attending the MNSSHP on that night. We aren't doing the Cinderella meal at the castle this time around. We'll be going to visit the princesses at the Norway Akershus since it's the only place I know of to meet Ariel, the Little Mermaid. She's Eliana's favorite princess. I am feeling crunched for time now that we're leaving in just 3 weeks. :cool1: Eliana's costume arrived last week and now I just need to make some minor alterations so it fits better. I have tomorrow off so I'll be working towards getting more things together. I did read through the Passporters cruise tips in August and there's a lot of helpful ideas. Now I just need to brush up on those tips again. I have already booked our hotel, flights, etc for the rest of my family (10 of us total so far) for another trip to WDW the first week of January. Yeah!!

I was checking out my disney cruise info and I now have an assigned stateroom right in the middle of the ship so hopefully I won't be seasick. We arrive on Friday the 26th at about 6:30am and will be going to Cirque that evening for the 6pm show. Besides Cirque we are just relaxing and maybe playing at Blizzard Beach for a few hours.

I haven't made ressies at Palo since it's just Eliana and myself this time. I will be double checking all of our dining ressies in about a week since we have one ressie at Teppan Edo (what used to be Teppanyaki) in the Japan pavilion and I want to be sure that it will be open when we're there since it's been undergoing rehab. Amber, did you end up planning for Ohana? Only 19 more days until we leave! Hip, hip, hooray! :cheer2:

We have early dining too. Sunday morning/Saturday night is the end of daylight savings so when we go to bed on the ship Saturday night we should be able to turn our clocks back 1 hour and get a little extra sleep before that early breakfast time. We don't leave for home until Monday morning so I'm not sure if we'll do another day at WDW or go explore the Kennedy Space Center.

Amber I think you had a question about Fantasmic. Disneyland has a very different venue in which to see Fantasmic and it's not that great. No place to sit except the cold hard ground and then as soon as the show starts everyone stands up and you can't see anything unless you line up 2-3 hours early to be against the railing. Now WDW is a whole different set up. MGM Studios has it's own "stadium" seating for Fantasmic. The seats are still cold and hard but they rise upwards (like a movie theater or stadium) and everyone stays seated for the most part. So unless you have an extremely tall person in front of you you won't have any problems seeing the show. You still have to arrive early if you want to be up close. I think it's a great show and worth the time at WDW, especially when you have first timers with you.

Eliana will wear her "Elizabeth Swann" pirate costume for the MNSSHP and probably on the boat as well. I'm dressing up as Elizabeth Swann in her gold gown (down the the fan, hat and shoes) since I refused to be a boy pirate. She wanted me to match her so now she's tickled that she gets to be the dangerous 'Pirate Elizabeth' while I'm the girly-girl Elizabeth. We're having lots of fun getting our costumes together. I had to hide her costume away since she was tromping around in it so much.

I will try to keep up more with this posting now that I'm feeling better and I'm returning to my normal work schedule. No more extra shifts for me for a while. Time to relax....okay...maybe stress a little over getting the trip details all planned and memorized. haha :cool1:

Sarah

How fun to have a cruise booked again so soon. How many days and to where? We are at the MNSSHP our first night and cirque on the h. We have Ohana booked the th. I tried to make Teppan Edo ADRs but they were not taking reservations for Oct, I have a lunch ADR there on . We have Naricoosees, Ragland Road, Kona, Cape May, and lots of Epcot snacks planned for WDW meals. We switched our dinner to late seating but thats great thinking about the daylight savings. Tessa has informed me that she will not be seeing me much on the ship. I said well you will have a pager if you want to see me and she doubts very much she will be using it:sad2: Do you guys want to meet for the sailing away party? If you want to meet at the party can you think of a good place to get together? My kids can't wait to meet your kids. I will pm both of you my cell phone number so we can find each other. I still need to call and see if I have service there. I think my husband is finally getting excited about the trip. Tessa and I talk about it at least once daily. We are in the teens on our count down tomorrow.:woohoo:

Jodi. one of my dd has made all the reservations for meals. the only ones I can remember is chef mickey for bkfst on 10/29, lunch at the Castle on 10/30. The girls are going to BBB before the lunch on the 30th. I know there is a meal at Crystal Palace but I forget which day. Our MNSSHP is on Halloween night. I think we are going to Sea World on 10/28. Jodi, Lexi and I have been for Fantasmic before. But my other dd's family has never been to WDW before. Usually we have a dinner reservation right there. The seating for the show is like football bleachers.

I would definitely like to meet at the sail away party but I know nothing about the ship and where we could meet.

I am taking my work cell phone with me. I'll pm you both the number. It is Verizon and I don't know if it will work on the ship. I used it in WDW in March so it should work there.

My reservation says I have main meal seating so I assume that is early???

Can't wait to meet everyone:yay: :yay:
