I was checking out my
disney cruise info and I now have an assigned stateroom right in the middle of the ship so hopefully I won't be seasick. We arrive on Friday the 26th at about 6:30am and will be going to Cirque that evening for the 6pm show. Besides Cirque we are just relaxing and maybe playing at Blizzard Beach for a few hours.
I haven't made ressies at Palo since it's just Eliana and myself this time. I will be double checking all of our dining ressies in about a week since we have one ressie at Teppan Edo (what used to be Teppanyaki) in the Japan pavilion and I want to be sure that it will be open when we're there since it's been undergoing rehab. Amber, did you end up planning for Ohana? Only 19 more days until we leave! Hip, hip, hooray!
We have early dining too. Sunday morning/Saturday night is the end of daylight savings so when we go to bed on the ship Saturday night we should be able to turn our clocks back 1 hour and get a little extra sleep before that early breakfast time. We don't leave for home until Monday morning so I'm not sure if we'll do another day at WDW or go explore the Kennedy Space Center.
Amber I think you had a question about Fantasmic.
Disneyland has a very different venue in which to see Fantasmic and it's not that great. No place to sit except the cold hard ground and then as soon as the show starts everyone stands up and you can't see anything unless you line up 2-3 hours early to be against the railing. Now WDW is a whole different set up. MGM Studios has it's own "stadium" seating for Fantasmic. The seats are still cold and hard but they rise upwards (like a movie theater or stadium) and everyone stays seated for the most part. So unless you have an extremely tall person in front of you you won't have any problems seeing the show. You still have to arrive early if you want to be up close. I think it's a great show and worth the time at WDW, especially when you have first timers with you.
Eliana will wear her "Elizabeth Swann" pirate costume for the
MNSSHP and probably on the boat as well. I'm dressing up as Elizabeth Swann in her gold gown (down the the fan, hat and shoes) since I refused to be a boy pirate. She wanted me to match her so now she's tickled that she gets to be the dangerous 'Pirate Elizabeth' while I'm the girly-girl Elizabeth. We're having lots of fun getting our costumes together. I had to hide her costume away since she was tromping around in it so much.
I will try to keep up more with this posting now that I'm feeling better and I'm returning to my normal work schedule. No more extra shifts for me for a while. Time to relax....okay...maybe stress a little over getting the trip details all planned and memorized. haha
