Nov 1 2007 on the Wonder??

I started a thread for where to meet other dis fans on the regular forum. Two ideas have come so far. I will wait to see if more come. But check it out if you get a chance and let me know what idea sounds good for you. We have verizon and ATT for cell coverage. I have to go to work and will write more later. Getting close:cool1:

I saw it! But like you said we will wait and see if there is any other ideas. Just had a thought. How are you getting from WDW to Port Can.? to catch the ship. We have to leave WDW and go back to the airport to catch the shuttle. Would be neat if we were all on the same shuttle.

Since I found a really low rate, we have a rental car for our entire trip. We have to pay to park it for the cruise but this way if we decide to see the Kennedy Space Center we'll be able to get there and back easily. I have Verizon and have never had any problem with coverage in WDW but I haven't been any further east than the Orlando Airport either.

Doesn't the shuttle cost a fortune?? We have a rental car since i thought it would be so much cheaper than the shuttle. It was going to cost close to $200 to shuttle the family to the ship but the car is only $214 for 10 days. I could hardly sleep last night thinking about the trip. This is going to be a long few weeks. I suppose there are worse problems to have.:)

Hello

How's everybody doing?? We just got back from Maryland. Next weekend we have a wedding. So, I don't have much time to finish up anything. Keep in touch!

Bette

I think I will pack next weekend. Apparently my goal to lose a bunch of weight before the trip isn't going to happen. I can't believe its so close, almost a week away. I have been looking at RCL cruises. I may do that next New Year 2008 due to the $2000 savings. If you book them on Oct 17 you only have to pay 1/2 the regular deposit and that gives you a year to decide. Plus you get a $100 credit. I would miss how fun it is to connect with others on the dis board though.:sad2: I read somewhere that our phones will work. I'm just not sure about the charges. Does everyone have the Passporter Cruise book? I love it. Talk to you soon. Amber

Hi everyone! My DF and I will be getting married on Halloween, then we sail away on our Disneymoon November 1st. Someone directed me to this call sheet. :bride: :groom:

Welcome!

You will have to fill us all in on the details of the wedding! Where in WDW are you getting married?

We are getting married at Sea Breeze Point on Halloween. Our luncheon "reception" is going to be at Fulton's that afternoon, then we are dragging everyone to Not-So-Scary that night! There will be about a group of 17 of us total attending Not-So-Scary. (There's only about 18 at the wedding, 24 at the reception.) Before we sail, we're having a "goodbye" breakfast for the family at Kona Cafe (we're staying at the Poly that night), since most of his family have traveled very far to get there (they're from Arizona), we didn't want to just take off without saying goodbye. So that's about it. Mostly I'm counting down the days til the wedding, but I know the cruise is right after that. I just can't wait to relax....the wedding is extremely stressful!:beach:

Congratulations!! We will miss you at the Poly because I have changed our last night to Beach Club since we will be hanging out at Epcot that night. So are you dressing up like a bride and groom for your wedding?:rotfl: We just received our cruise documents in the mail today.:woohoo: My kids now both think we are leaving on Oct 27. The whole family is finally getting so excited. Sarah we received the letter and the magnets. Tessa was delighted to get mail. She has a thank you going out in the mail today. Talk to you all soon.

How exciting to go on a Disneymoon. :goodvibes
It's only 9 more days until we leave. Yeah!! I also got my cruise booklet/documents in the mail yesterday.
Eliana has a school project due while we will be gone so we are working furiously to get it done and turned in next Wednesday before we leave. So I haven't had much more time to worry and fret over vacation details. I guess that's a good thing.
I'm glad Carly and Tessa got their letters. Eliana can't wait to hear back.

DAKLNiddy I will be at the MNSSHP on Halloween night also. Is your whole party of 17 going to dress up?? :bride:

Sarah, I mailed Carly's package to Eliana. Should get by weekend. You should get it in plenty of time. :dance3:

Amber, my goal is always to lose weight. Just doesn't happen. Oh well, at least I didn't have to go out and buy a smaller size for the trip. Saved me alot of $. Jodi has asked me what I am going to do with myself once the trip is over. I still want to lurk in the dis but I think I am going to get my mind set on my health/weight. I am sure there is a board out there somewhere with people as great as the dis about health/weight.
We are almost done Tessa and Truman's package. Hope to send out soon. Did you book your RCL cruise today? I can't believe we are going next week :yay:

Lunch time is almost over. Back to work :sad1:

Later,
Bette:grouphug:

Well....not quite all 17 of us are dressing up. My DF and I are going as a dead bride and groom (no really). We also have with us Satine (from Moulin Rouge), the Queen of Hearts, Mad Hatter, and Alice, Kim Possible, Minnie, Mickey, and Donald, Belle (at least that's what I heard the flower girl was going as last time I talked to her), Rainbow Brite, Malificent, and I think that's it. We have some in are party (mostly the ones that are from Arizona (aka DF's family)) who are kinda party poopers. :sad2:

Last year my DF was a banana and with his costume he was about 7 feet tall. We spent the whole night being stopped by people who wanted to take his picture (the best was a family who had their 5 year-old dressed up as a monkey). We decided this year, we better try to blend in, so that we can enjoy our day.

I'm so excited guys!!!

My vacation time actually starts October 29th and I cannot wait!

I think I will be able to spot your group in a crowd. Most of the grandkids are going to dress as pirates. I'm not sure any of the adults will be dressing. I have a shirt that sorta looks like a pirate blouse. So I guess we are more of those party poopers. Would like to have seen the banana last year.

What day are you arriving at Sea Breeze?

Our wedding is at noon at Sea Breeze Point. We're checking into Pop on the 29th, which is where our whole party is staying. He'll probably do more in the parks than I will. He has most of the out-of-town friends. (My family is a little older and I think just wants to relax more than anything.) I tell you, if it wasn't for these boards, I don't know how I'd get through the work day.....

I booked my RCL for 12/28/08 but when I got home from work I had bad news. Our pool is in the process of a 6 K refurbishment and we may need to double that amount and replaster it.    I told my husband we should sell the whole house, move to an apt, and spend our extra money cruising every year but alas this is where we differ. He really wants to take the kids to Washington DC next year.I tried to rationalize the cruise to my husband saying if I don't lose 50lbs by the time we have to pay the balance on the cruise (Sept 2008) then we would cancel it but if I do lose the weight then its a question of paying for it.:confused3 So I may have to come back to reality and cancel my cruise. But not tonight. Two more days of work this week then the packing will begin. Talk to you soon. I can't believe we are soo close.
Amber

Well girls, this is it. . . . .the last weekend to get ready before we go:scared1: I know I will be running around going :crazy2: Any last minute tips?

The cruise tips you can download on the Passporter website were really good. I think I've read through them all and committed them to memory by now. :rotfl:
One of the best tips was to use room service as often as you can. Having room service send some snacks to your rooms so you can take them to the shows in the evening instead of buying the snacks that they sell will save me some money. popcorn::
Good luck with the packing. We're leaving Thursday eve. Yeah!! :woohoo:

This is my last day of work before we leave tomorrow. I'm counting down the seconds. :hourglass
Eliana and I are so excited!! I'll be frantically finishing my packing tomorrow morning and running last minute errands.
I hope to hear from you on the ship next Thursday. :goodvibes
