Noumea port

Anyone have experience with Noumea as a port? I really want to head to Australia and NZ with by the 6 night NYE cruise in the middle but I’m second guessing.

It’s not the best honestly but I’ve only been once and just wandered around the town. We ported at a shipping yard and got shuttles to the town centre from memory
