Nothing Thread

Okay, I was not gone that long, and you added PAGES, PAGES, I tell you!

I cannot keep up with all this.

I just got back from taking my kids to the fair. Now, what if I slipped into the closet, held a flashlight up to my chin and told you all in my spoooookiest voice that when I got out of the car, there was a......HOOK! hanging from my door handle?!

Does that stand any chance in heck of changing the direction of this thread? If not, as you were, people.

Just got back from Extreme Makeover. Whadduhyathink of the new ink? Oooo, I feel like rhyming!

"Direction"

Allow me a slight interjection,
I think upon further inspection,
You'll notice without much reflection,
A "Nothing Thread" has no direction!

We've got "Nothing" down to a perfection,
It's part of our natural selection,
From Yuengling to Rash's election,
To closets and an eye infection!

With "Nothing" we've made a connection,
I certainly feel the affection,
But what's at the next intersection?
I would not attempt a projection!

:worship: You are da man Tooneric!

WOW!!! Look at your new threads! I am glad you knew who I was talking about :teeth:

That is a GREAT look on you! :lovestruc

My sons have discovered the Mask recently...and they are very taken by the cartoons that Stanley watched in that movie. I need to find them {even as PC as they are lol}. Luckily, with so many $1 DVDs floating around these days, I bet I will come across them at some point! Love those cheap DVDs of old cartoons. Of course, Popeye smokes and Superman maybe too....several other non PC things pop up from time to time, but still, they are very cool to watch with my sons. Oh - and they don't understand why Mighty Mouse isn't Mickey! He IS the mightiest mouse they know. :earboy2:

Yes, to everyone who says they love people-watching at WDW, you haven't seen anything if you haven't been to the state fair. My children go because there's a talking smokey bear, and lots of cute horsies, etc., my husband goes because he must - it's now tradition, I go because, well, there's a weird fascination factor. Can't help it - must people watch.

And for all the germaphobes on various threads about lysoling their room, etc., while I do a lot of that as well, nothing brings out the yuck factor like letting your kids ride rides at a fair, EEEWW!

Just don't let them near the barnyard animals. This past year at the NC State Fair, many people came down with E. Coli infections from the petting zoo.

I think that has happened in many petting zoos of late. That is the only time I pull out hand sanitizer is if we hit something with animals. Otherwise, I simply promote not touching your face until you wash your hands. (of course, I can't get my son's to understand that the back of a toilet is NOT a good place to sit what it in your hands when you need to use the facilities  so I sometimes make them wash their hands twice and they think I am nuts :earboy2: )

My mom always told me too much petting could lead to trouble!

Now, was that a horse that just said that :teeth: No, it was really that caring, doctor side of you, right Rash? :goodvibes

Happy Monday all! I'm putting out coffee pop tarts, donettes and a few topics that won't get us banned:

The quality of coffee at WDW (Don't worry, I got this morning's from my favorite roastery and retail shop).

Pastries on the BW.

Character breakfast at the Poly.

I will never forget Goofy using my dh as a shield duringn the roll fight!

Mothball

(Our first non-food, non animal WOTW!)

And a very happy good morning to you.

Looks like Toon's been going to the gym! And new duds to match. Smooth!

Hey, Coaster, don't egg me on, please!

Went to the rodeo this weekend. (Never made it last week, life got in the way.) Bulls and broncs gave the cowboys a serious lickin'. One poor soul was dragged off by the EMTs. Otherwise tons of fun. And talk about people-watching!

Speaking of non-PC cartooons. We're getting ready for our big drive 'home' on Saturday and went DVD shopping. Picked up a $1 DVD of Mr. Magoo and I completely forgot about his Chinese butler - wow! - talk about a bad stereotype! DW almost feel off the couch. Well, that one may just get lost in the back of the closet. Kids will have to suffer through 12 hours of the Brady Bunch - Complete Season 2 instead.

BW Pastries! Only six days away now! Any requests when I'm down there?

lol @ Mr. Magoo! I am of seriously mixed feelings about old cartoons. My sons also have been watching Tom and Jerry a lot on Boomerang and they smoke, etc as well as are violent on those cartoons - but then I think that I turned out ok watching such stuff ....sorta ok anyway :earboy2: :rolleyes1

Morning everyone! - thank you for extra breakfast items Carrie! I am still hungry this morning

Lets see - I have never been to the bakery at BW :guilty: I just actually made it over there to SEE the place (and had dinner at ESPN) on our trip last April for the first time. Funny you should mention this because hubby and I were thinking about where to go on our trips next year (the 7 month window for spring break opens in Sept) just this weekend. We have been to OKW and will be at SSR in December. What do you guys think? (in April, we will have 3 children ages 6, 4 and 6 months).

My very first charater breakfast was at the Poly. I have a wonderful video of the boys doing a conga dance around the restaurant. Mickey kissed Charlie on the head after realizing he didn't want much to do with characters (still doesn't for the most part) and it made him blush and smile :goodvibes Now I want yummy cheesy potato casserole!!!

Ah - Monday Monday (I was the last one here on Friday and yet there is MORE work here on my desk this morning - WTH??? )

Shall we send the toon to beat someone up? Arghhhhh!

Don't they know you have mnore importtant things to do? ;)

Just playing around with some pictures and thought I would share a couple of shots of the boys (was pointing out about the hats and how amazed I am that the women that did these do it by hand at WDW).

woah - and I resized the first one I thought....gotta keep working on it!

Yhink that is better! :teeth:

Very cute! Thanks fr osharing! I can't belive they do these by hand!!!

BTW - How's Mr. Bright Blue Cast doing?

He is doing just fine! We had a chill out weekend. He and I went to see Sharkboy and Lavagirl - truly awful - but he loved it...then later went to see Star Wars with dad along (can you say - I CAN'T TAKE THE HEAT!!!). He also had to do the dreaded Walmart trip with us on Sunday and I can tell it was making him tire more easily, but all in all, things are moving right along.

He only asked once if he could take it off this weekend.

I think he is going to like telling the kids at school about it today. :teeth:

Glad he's doing well!

Excuse me while I put on a fresh pot of coffee fro our west coast friends. I can't believe how inconsiderate of me it was not to make fresh for them. :sad2:
