NOTHING available at CBR?

Hi,

I have a free dining package booked at CBR with water view November 9-23rd. I keep checking to see if standard view rooms open up to save us a bit of money. No luck.

Out of curiosity I checked to see if there were any standard rooms left at rack rate. Nothing! There was zero availability at CBR for my dates.

Does that seem odd?

Thanks!

Patience Grasshopper. You will have to make many calls to get what you want. Some will open up. Good Luck and I hope you get what you want.

Are room available without free dining? Or are no rooms available?

Do some online pretend reservations or call to find out. You might be waiting for something that might not be available or available with free dining.

Keep checking!

I would try calling. They might have something that isn't showing up online...?

Did you check orbitz and other outside sights? They might have something.

They are showing no rooms available at all.

Could they be fully booked for that time frame?

At first I was looking just with free dining. Then I loozed with no promotion...just a rack rate room. There are absolutely no rooms available to book. I understand that they wouldn't have any free dining packages left. I'm confused why no rooms are available even at rack rate.

That is definitely possible, especially with a longer stay. Keep in mind that if one of those nights is sold out, it will show that nothing is available for your entire stay. I would call just to double check, but it does make sense that it is showing no availability.

This just popped up from Mousesavers so keep trying -

"Heads up for those trying to get Free Dining or a room discount at Walt Disney World: more availability has started to appear as people cancel. It may be worth checking again (or asking your travel agent to check) if you weren't able to get what you wanted when the discounts first came out."

Thanks everyone. I was lucky enough to get free dining with a water view room so I know I'm definitely not complaining.

I guess the fact that we are going for two weeks is what might be causing no availability.

I'll keep checking for a standard room because it would save us about $500 cdn but I'm not holding my breath. Lol

Keep looking. There were no standard rooms available for my dates at the end of October when FD first came out (I did not stay up and try to get rooms right when they started FD). Then this week, there were rooms available. So keep checking.

Thanks. I checked again this morning and there are 3 values available that haven't been since the day free dining was released. No standard at CBR still, but it's giving me hope!!! I will keep checking.

Keep checking I called Sunday for my bounce back free dining wanted to upgrade from pop to CBR. Only a water view was available that would of added a additional 500.00 since we are there for 14 nights. Was able to snag a standard yesterday but since mine is a BB I have to call in. Which is sort of a pain.

I also have a FD package booked at CBR with a water view room and hoping to get a standard room to save some money. Like the OP, I have also been constantly checking online and no kind of promotion is available for my dates in November. Is it better to call? Or does the CM see the same availability that I see online?

We switched from a preferred with FD to a waterview and saved about $500 CDN for 10 nights stay. I was wondering how much extra water view was and if it's worth trying to just get a regular room. we're not too concerned about our room as we're planning to be at the parks a lot.

All of the rooms enter from outside. A waterview room is nice if the resort had balconies. In 30 seconds, you can be at waterview just by walking. And there are benches along the pathways that you sit by the water. And if you plan on being at the parks a lot, then standard will be just fine.

We are staying for 14 days, and I think the standard room will save us about $350 over the water view room. That's significant for us because a Waterview is really not important to us. From what I read, a water view room could mean if you look out the window and strain your neck, you might see some water. Lol.
