Nothing at BOG 181 days?

My window opened today for a December trip. I was on within 15 minutes of it opening, and nothing at BOG for breakfast or lunch. It's a party day. Possible availability gets loaded later? Or is it just that busy second week of December (free dining is available, though I'm not on it)? It's so early, even TP reservation finder won't start looking yet.

We're there Dec. 8th-16th and had the same issue getting a dinner at BOG. That was the first reservation we looked for right at 6 a.m. and no luck. I didn't think the crowds would be so bad that week but the shortage of dining options is making me think otherwise.

Keep checking. Refreshing over and over for a few minutes worked for me. I couldn't find anything for the first few days of our trip, but I kept checking and snagged an early lunch for day 181 (Dec 4th - party day).

Others in our December thread have also reported trouble getting BOG when ADR first opened but success after repeatedly checking later in the day.

I couldn't get a breakfast slot for 8th December but managed to get a reservation for the 13th.

My trip is Dec 7-11 and I easily got a BOG lunch ADR on Dec 10th.
FD does tend to make ADR's harder to get.
My advice is to just keep checking.
I often find the ADR I want less than 180 days out just by stalking lol.
Also not sure how many people are in your party but you can also look for smaller party sizes that have close times to each other and then you can generally all enter together.
For example a couple of times when I couldn't find an ADR for 2 for lunch at BOG I look for two ADR's for one person each.
So I've gotten one person an ADR for 11:15am and one for 11:25am and we then both were able to enter at 11:15am.
May not always work but I've had success.

Ive been reading on here that BOG reservations for dinner have been loaded for party nights at random times- almost in two cycles it seems like. When more BOG dinners on a party night opened up, I was able to get lunch that day (thanks to TP reservation finder). I think someone wanted a dinner but booked a lunch until dinners became available. I got the BOG lunch just this past Sunday for an early nov date- so well past the 180. I think you have a good chance of getting one!

Most likely won't help you now but will be good to remember for future trips. When booking the harder to get restaurants book first and closer to the end of your trip since those arriving up to 10 days before you have already booked their dining. In the meantime continue to check especially at the 30 day mark because people will cancel their trip at this point so there is no penalty and any reservations they made may become available.

I tried at 6am 180+3 days out and there was nothing at BOG for lunch the first week of Dec. I grabbed a breakfast res but I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the TP reservation finder comes through for me. Also tried at 6:05am 180+3 days out for CRT lunch or dinner- there was nothing at all.

I was on trying to get BOG dinner the second my window opened up. I got BOG dinner at 180 +5 and +6. I ideally wanted it on the 29th - 180 +2, but it was not happening at all. I was going to keep trying, but I just re-arranged my planning a little so it actually works better this way in the end.

I got a bog lunch for 7 12/8 at 6am and breakfast(ppo) and dinner for 7 on 12/14 no issues whatsoever but I purposely book my trips starting on Thursdays or Fridays so I have a jump on it and I go online to the BOG specific dining page and hit refresh like a madwoman. Keep checking because I’ve been able to tweak our times so I know they’re coming in and out of availability.

i had the same problem. My 180 day mark was yesterday, I was logged in ready to go at 6AM sharp. I was planning for BOG dinner on my second day, but knew I needed to book it first. There was absolutely nothing and there wasn’t any BOG dinners most of that day. I had the day off work luckily so I was constantly checking. Finally around 2pm a 7:50 dinner opened up on 12/10 that was exactly the time and day I wanted it for. So just keep looking! I would also recommend using TP reservation finder. It’s helps a lot of people get their must have reservations! Good luck!

Do most people book their trips at the beginning of the week, so starting your trip on a thurs or fri helps stagger it? I’m interested in this strategy. We were super flexible with our dates but settled on a M-F to avoid the weekend, but maybe that’s not a good strategy for ADRs? We did have trouble initially getting the ADRs we planned. Thinking ahead for our next trip!

Also noticed....I was able to book through MDE early. As in, logged on to the website and my dates were blacked out until right at 6:00 central time. Not so on the iPad using MDE. Wonder if the same will be true for FPs? (Oh, and no luck with BOG on ANY day of my trip so far)

The window for ADR's opens at 6am eastern time.online...

Keep checking--sometimes it does open up closer to your arrival date. When the 60 day FP window opens, some people will cancel due to the days they can get FOP or Slinky Dog, or based on crowd calendars. I recently booked a list minute trip for July. I got a lunch reservation at BOG after a few days of checking the site. Of course, we went and changed our dates to August so I had to cancel. I will keep checking to see if we get lucky for August. On one trip I could not get reservations until the day before. So never give up!

We had a hard time getting a lunch reservation. We’re on property November 27-December 3. I was online at 6am at 180 days and was unable to get anything (lunch or breakfast) until December 2nd. I booked it, but am continuing to check for the day I wanted (November 30).

I think this is a good strategy. I know I have a couple of "extra" ADRs that I will drop at the 60 day mark based on FP availability.

Keep checking. We have a breakfast booked for our trip. I have heard the breakfast is good, but still would rather get lunch if there is a spot open eventually.

We did this once a few trips ago and wont do it any other way. We had no issues getting two 8am BoG breakfasts on Tuesday and Thursday of the subsequent week with an arrival day of Thursday and a departure day of the following Friday. We were able to snag all the tours and reservations we wanted for that week except MVMCP Terrace Dessert Party on the Sunday night.
