Notations of allergies on reservations

I have a daughter that has a newly discovered gluten allergy. We already had our reservations made before this (and we have 7 people so it's not easy to change) so I'm trying to make due with what we have and find options at the place we are already going versus choosing the friendliest restaurants to begin with. I was reading that Via Napoli can make her a cream sauce and chicken breast with rice pasta if we make note of her allergy on our reservation. I looked to see if I could modify it and add something but I don't see a place to do this. Can I do this when we check in? Or do they need more time than that?

Call in and have it notated on the reservation. Also, when you check in I would just confirm the allergy/GF option again.

If it's just a gluten allergy I wouldn't worry about noting it prior to checking in. They can handle gluten free (and any of the top 8) quite easily even with short notice. And in my experience the notation online doesn't carry through 100% of the time anyhow so making sure they know at check in either way is always a good idea.

Call and have them notate it on your ADR's, I think you can also go in an add it to the ADR on my Disney.... Tell the server, and remind them again...and ask to speak to the chef... Our friends DD has several allergies, and when they visit she sometimes goes to the restaurant early in the day, and ask to speak to the chef, so that when the arrive for dinner later there is some notes on her daughter, and they ask to speak to the chef once they are seated...to make sure everyone is aware...

I have a allergy to coconut, nothing with coconut water, milk, or coconut in it or on it... as I have gotten older it can't even be on table also.... no lotions or scents including candles... We were at Rainforest and the lady next to me at the bar, was eating coconut shrimp, and turned her head towards me and coughed. She coughed into her arm and not on me but in my direction, and in a about 5 min's...I was itching and red bumps started up on my neck, the bartender was so nice, she grab a baggie and put ice in it, and I took some Benadryl, and went and washed off my neck and the manager was out there, double checking my plate, and went back to the kitchen, to make sure there was no cross contamination. Luckily I had taken my allergy meds earlier so it did not get out of control...

Via Napoli is one restaurant that is not considered to be very gluten free friendly. When they make the pizzas there is wheat flour very prominently in the air. I have read that they will not state that their food is gluten free because of the high likelihood of cross contamination.

THis is correct from my experience. They will not guarantee no cross contamination with gluten for any of their foods. There is just too much risk there due to the wheat flour throughout the place.

I agree to call in and have a note added. I made my ADRs when the site was glitchy two weeks ago and it didn't give me the option to add my gluten allergy so I called in after I made the reservations.

I have not heard good things about via napoli regarding guten free so I have never eaten there. You may want to consider another restaurant.
