Not your typical question about MILK

We (as in ME) are getting ready for our first-time trip to WDW. We will be staying at the Yacth/Yahtc/Yatch (honestly, I have no idea why this word is so hard to spell.....tempted to just write 'YAT') and will have Concierge level, as well as the Deluxe Dining. DH can mutate from the End-result Beast to the Fur-faced Beast (which is my favorite), with a detour through Grumpy-land if he gets even slightly hungry.

But I digress...we are world-class coffee junkies. To the point that we always travel with a one-cup coffee maker and a bag or two of coffee, and we plan to do the same when we get to WDW. My question is: is there anyplace inside WDW where we can buy milk for our coffee? Can we use our snack credits for it, or can we just purchase it using plain ol' cash (and save the snack credits for DH and his stomach's planned tour of the Epcot International Food Feeding Frenzy Festival?

Thanks!!!!!!

At all of the resorts I've been to (value and deluxe)....you can either buy milk in single serving containers in the food courts or you can buy it in their sundries shop that sells snacks. The milk in the sundries shops are usually quarts, etc.

I hate that word too!!!! I ended up typing or writing Yachtsman Steakhouse for our last trip, I can't NOT know how to spell it anymore. It's a dumb word.

Anyway, a lot of the single serving sized milks are on the DDP but nothing bigger. The only quality coffee onsite is at Kona Cafe either brewed or you can get beans or grounds... I can't remember which now, but it's pretty good.

I am usually just looking for a good caffiene fix in general this isn't soda (it doesn't really do it for me, I love it- don't get me wrong but I wonder if they're lying on the caffiene content sometimes) but I always make my way into the WS... Japan and UK both have a pretty good selection of teas.

I would be sooooo happy if there was a Starbucks at the front entrance of every park, I would gladly grab one every morning and one on the way out to stick in the fridge. They could even sell it for a ridiculous amount of money and I would still probably get it... a girls gotta have her white chocolate americano.

There is 'real' coffee at every park and MANY resorts. You just have to know where to look.

Here's the list on allears.net. I know it's not complete becuase I had to email them with a few additions (they have since added them) but it's a start!! Now I know where to go every day for my real coffee fix.

:goodvibes

We'll head straight for one of the sundae shops for the quart of milk (besides, DH loves ice cream...it's like living with a giant kid).

Our one-cup coffeemaker plus a brick or two of coffee are some of the first things packed - DH and I even met over coffee:hug:, so we are truly hooked. As long as we have our coffee first thing in the morning so we can therefore be alert enough to head to breakfast (for more coffee), then we are fine.

But due to the ridiculous amount of coffee we drink, we need to temper our coffee with simple Arabica, and not the Columbian that many coffee shops carry. Plus we're fairly Basic when it comes to coffee - just a coffee, please, light and sweet; some of the coffee shops add so much stuff to a cup that it becomes a meal.

:)

Just a quick correction.
The milk is sold in Sundry shops not Sundae shops. Sundry as in Gift Shop at the resorts.

First of all, involve the Concierge. They have a selection of coffees available and brewed at all times. Since you will definitely have a rfefrigerator in the room, ask them about milk or cream. They will probably provide you with a supply.

How to remember how to spell 'Yacht'

It has a 'silent C' in the middle, (think silent sea, where you'd sail your yacht) and the rest just falls in how you say it Y ah t.

I was thinking the same thing - I'm sure the concierge would provide you with milk or cream to keep in your room fridge. As for coffee in the lounge, at the BC all they had was the Nescafe machine which makes single cups of various types of coffee (cappucino, latte, reg. coffee, etc.) I'm not a coffee snob and I loved the cappucino. My guess is that the YC lounge will have the same machine, so you are probably wise to bring your own coffee maker for your room. You also might want to post over on the Concierge Level thread to ask specifically about the coffee in the YC lounge.
