Not Your Typical Disney Trip

Okay ~ here we go! I changed our plans again! We leave a day early and have two nights reserved at SSR in a 1 bedroom.

:yay:

I snagged an Ohana's BFF Breakfast at 9:30 on Saturday!

We are going to MNSSHP on Tuesday with My Dad! The girls are super excited to go trick or treating and having my dad there will make it even better!!

No plans for meals on this day ~ so a quick service meal somewhere...

any suggestions? I am open to it!

Oh Forgot to include pictures of our Ohana's Meal last year for BFF breakfast!

Zoe enjoying the fruit plate that she could actually eat! (she is severely allergic to berries, all berries)

Mimi (4) asks to go to WDW every, every day. Even when we don't have a trip planned. She is a total addict. They got their suitcases out the other day and think they have "packed" already!

Thansk for joining along! I never get many readers.... :) That may be why I lose interest in writing!

DD7 & DS8 both asked for their suitcases last month & I gently had to tell them they couldn't have them yet. DD because she would pack, unpack, pack, unpack & it would get me going more than I already am. DS because I'm worried he'll pack a ham sandwich or something equally spoilable:eek:

I just started my own first PTR.......I'm worried I'll go overboard there too:rotfl:

OMGosh! I have been desperately trying to get an ADR for Sci Fi as DH wanted it so badly since he missed it last trip while he had pneumonia ~ yeah I probably forgot to mention that ~ but when we went in March/April Dh was ill. Very ill. Try as he might he just wasn't able to tag along with us and spent at least two full days in bed and an evening at the urgent care clinic.

Some Tamiflu and antibiotic later and he was a little better ~ but really only made it out for mornings and would have to go to the room to lie down and didn't make most of our lunches. :( He loved the Sci Fi when we went a few years back... okay quite a few years since it was pre kiddo and it was all he requested last time and this time.

So, since he missed it last time I really, really have been trying this time. Problem is we will only be at DHS for one day and already had lunch booked for the girls (Play and Dine) and I wasn't able to get the dinner ADR.

Last night I couldn't sleep and got up at about midnight and decided to take a chance and do a search ~ and WOOT I got a 5:50 for us at Sci Fi!! I have been searching 100 times a day for weeks!

:yay::yay::yay: for your SciFi ressie!! Isn't it great when everything just falls together like that!
Love the pictures!! I have a Speedway picture like that from when I was 5! A very, very, long time ago!! :rotfl:

I am so glad to have some readers!!!

Silly that the little things excite me.

We are down to three weeks from today! I can't believe how quickly it has come up and how much I have to do!

ADR's are all set EXCEPT trying to get 1900 Park Fare for ZZ since she wants to meet Cinderella. No biggie if we can't though....I will figure something out.

Here is an odd question. Hope someone has some insight. We have a cleaning service come clean the house every thursday ~ but since we leave on a Thursday and won't be back before the next thursday and don't need them to clean the middle thursday ~ do I still pay them? Do I have them do some "extra" stuff that they don't usually do? Hmmmm I have never had a cleaning service before.

We crossed day 21 off our countdown this morning! I am trying to teach Mimi the single digit dance for when we get there! LOL!

I still need to think about costumes for trick or treat that will suit Florida weather and Maine weather.... even with a couple modifications. YIKES!

Any ideas??

Hi there! I am following you over from the October 2009 thread!

Your girls are gorgeous!

We are also attending MNSSHP, and I am keeping in mind it will probably still be quite warm that evening. Halloween's are hit-and-miss here in VA, but we usually have to wear at least long sleeves. Can you find sleeveless costumes that you can put long-sleeved shirts and tights under when you get home?

Thanks for reading! And the nice comment about my girls!

I am thinking something like this Zoe:

And this for Mimi:

Oops... hit enter before I was done! LOL!

With these costumes I can do short sleeve in florida and turtle necks in Maine!

Love the tutus and wings, how cute! Me and the bf are being Charlie Brown and Lucy Van Pelt for MNSSHP, not sure if we're doing anything for Halloween at home though.

What a cute idea! I bet he will be the only Charlie Brown and you will be the only Lucy!

I doubt I will dress up..... while Halloween is my favorite holiday (well tied with Thanksgiving) I don't like to dress up. But maybe ~ you just never know.

So I am starting to work on our touring plans. We usually don't end up following them as we really like to just wander and hop on what we can. We let the kiddies guide the way.

I can't believe in just three weeks we will be AT WDW starting our second full day!

I am definately done fooling around with ADR's and have cancelled all our extras so hopefully some other nice family can get some.

:) I'll update with some more pictures later today! Right now I have to get the girls some tator tot casserole.

Okay ~ Day 5!

This is our Epcot Day! Last trip the girls really enjoyed the countries and stopping at each station to color their mask and get the stamp.

We were FINALLY able to see Soarin last trip. Well DD and I. DH and DD2 walked around and waited for us. It was hard to have him not see it ~ so I am hoping to get fastpasses and make SURE he gets to try it this time.

We also did MS for the first time last trip. We did the "extreme" side... don't remember red or green. We thought it was still really mild and both felt kind of "eh" about it... so we will probably not wait for it this time.

I really wish that DD2 was going to be 40 inches this trip. But alas I measured her this morning at my office and she is only 37Inches. So unless she grows an inch a week until we go.... she will miss the 40inchers again.

We have lunch scheduled at Tutto Italia. DH and I actually like this a lot and don't feel at all sad about missing Le Cellier this trip.

For dinner we are planning on San Angel Inn.... but it will depend on how hungry we are I think. :)

Off to find some of our Epcot pictures to share!

Okay I just ordered 4 pairs of Mickey Crocs for our trip... two for me and one for each of the girls.

For 13.50 a pair including shipping.

Wow that is a great price for the Mickey Crocs. When they first came out I think I paid almost $40 for my 3 year old cause she had to have the Mickey ones. If you haven't had the Mickey ones before, beware that the pins fall out really easy because the mickey heads are much bigger than the normal crocs. Even my DH lost all but one of his pins.

I actually don't have any pins in mine. Might have to find a Mickey for them though.

I hurt my foot in late winter and every pair of shoes I have tried but my crocs hurt my foot after about 10 minutes. So I have been wearing my one pair of OLD, OLD, OLD crocs that each have a hole in the bottom for a while. I think I got them before Crocs were even cool.

They happened to be the shoes I was wearing the day the house burned down... so they actually made it through. LOL! Even though it was the coldest day of the year ~ I was wearing crocs ~ and coldest day of the year in MAINE! Not down south!
