Hope things are much, much better now.

The other day someone made a comment to me and that made a light bulb go off in my head about people like this.

I was on the phone with someone and she was telling me about a phone call she received from a friend who is currently pregnant (a very high risk pregnancy), her husband just returned from being MIA for several weeks, he has been having an affair for a while, she recently moved hundreds of miles away to help give them a "fresh" start, etc. Well the person I was talking with said she was thinking that she didn't want to hear all of the other ladies problems because she had enough problems of her on and didn't want to hear her whine. I was floored! Here this lady is going through a VERY difficult time and has no one to turn to and the one person she felt like she could turn to didn't even care. My heart is breaking for this lady and I don't even know her.

Basically what I'm saying is that this made me realize the problem really is with the other people, not me like I've always thought. Some people just aren't as caring and/or kind as I give them credit for. **SIGH**

I agree... it is not us, it's them :goodvibes

I think also people say what is on their mind too much... somethings (especially things that can hurt others) should be left in your own HEAD... it isn't even putting your foot in your mouth because that is a mistake, some people just don't care.

They need to realize if what you are about to say would hurt others (not just the one you are talking to) DON'T say it. You may think it but it doesn't need to come out of your mouth.

Thanks Lisa!

The worst part about the person who upset me with that conversation the other day is that it was my very own mother. How on earth could I be so sensitive and caring when my own parents aren't? :confused3 That just blows my mind.

That is so funny... because my Mom is driving me crazy lately.

My DD is struggling in school- grades are slipping. So I talked to the teacher, I am working harder with her, got some computer learning games... etc...

So my mom instead of saying "Honey what a great mom you are working SO hard with her, catching this before it gets worse..." Anything nice. NO she has been hard on ME. Telling me we need outside help, even saying she doesn't agree with what the teacher is telling me :confused3 If you don't think I am doing a good job keep it to yourself and say something nice or just be supportive and don't say anything.

My friend just said last night when did your Mom get so negative.

I think when we are young we have no filter for things that come out of our mouth then we get a filter at some age (probably when we want friends) and with old age it is something we lose... We lose mind, hearing, body and our filter for our mouth... YEAH- I can't wait until I get old. :rotfl:

Well, I have avoided my treadmill long enough gotta go excercise.

Because you are you Chell.

You probably saw this growing up and compensated for it and became the wonderful kind caring person you are today.

Thanks for being you.

Lisa, I'm sorry that your mother is being like that. Hope you have fun on the treadmill.

Kelli, thank you! You brought a tear to my eye.

Okay- today the weather is NOT WELCOME... it is COLD today. I am just not ready for that.

I am not done wearing my flip flops yet :sunny:

Cold here in NY too Lisa. I know it's cold when I need a jacket!

You are like my middle daughter she wouldn't bring a jacket to school- she said it looked terrible with her hoodie and the hoodie was already making her hot... as I am freezing my @$% off telling her to take the jacket and she had better wear it for recess.

My 2 DD don't wear coats either. The hoodies were the only thing they wear.

4 years ago when my DD was in the 6th grade I saw her locker.
She had 4 coats/jackets in there.

I said how do you forget your jacket when it's 20 degrees outside??
she said she's only going to the bus so why bother
That's when I gave up!

Because I remeber doing that as a teen too

Hope all you ladies stay nice and warm. It is cooler here today. I'm looking forward to going to a festival later today and enjoying the cool weather.

Last night it was supposed to snow in the mountains here. :guilty: I miss my mountains!!!

My boyfriend knows that I've had a few rough days this week and we even had a bit of a misunderstanding Wednesday night. I was too sensitive and took something he was saying the wrong way. Anyway, I was really down yesterday and what my mother and sister-in-law had said this week was really getting to me. He decided to surprise me after work. He parked his car in another parking lot so I wouldn't see it when I went out and he had put a card in my seat. The card made me cry. He was waiting in the lobby watching for me to find the card. :goodvibes
