Not technically a costume...for MNSSHP

[It's A Happy Day]

My son (4) is in love with the idea of being Dash for halloween in disney. We are going to MNSSHP on October 6th and we have been trying to find costumes that they will not be too hot in, will be comfortable in for 3-5 hours, and they want to dress up in. He already has the Incredibles pajama pals - cotton long sleeve, long pants for incredibles (looks like their costume without lining/padding) and every time he puts them on he claims he is super fast and he IS dash. He wants to wear this as his costume. I am inclined to say go for it but don't want people to make comments about it "just being pajamas" (I don't care myself about comments but I don't want him to hear them and be upset/defensive) my only concern is he is happy, has fun, and most important is comfortable. I don't mind paying for the incredibles costume that has just now come out but believe it would be too hot and possibly itchy for him for the whole night - he also thinks that one isn't Dash but MR. Incredible so I would need to convince him otherwise. We also have the prince phillip costume for dinner at the castle so we will have a 2nd costume if he backs out of #1 choice - and worst case scenario I would even buy a costume in WDW if it meant his happiness!!! What do you think about him going in his PJ's?? Am I right to think if he is happy with the choice then go with the flow?

If that's what he's happy with, I can't see any problem. The number of times you have to really look in a shop to see whether it is an outfit of PJs means most people probably won't even notice. I would think this is far more preferable than having an unhappy, hot cranky child!

I agree. This is about what makes him happy, not what makes everyone else there happy. I say go for it.

One year my son wanted to wear his Batman pj's for halloween(they even had a cape) and I let him, we weren't in Disney but it made him happy. I say let him, no one is going to care that they are PJs.
