DH and I were planning on going to Disneyworld February 9-15. However, I've been reading the Disboards and doing some other research, and a few people have said that early March or later in the year may be a better time (because of crowds-spring break & President's week). I also noticed that peak season is February 14-March 29. We would like to visit Disneyworld sometime between February and June. I purchased a tourguidemike subscription, but his recommendations haven't been released yet for March and beyond. Can anyone recommend a good time to visit?

Can you go the end of January into beginning of February?

Besides Spring break you also have at the end of Feb,the ESPN weekend and the end of March is Easter.

Jrabbit910-thanks for your suggestion. unfortunately, we can't go an earlier than february 9. i am taking some days off for the holiday this year, and i won't have enough days accrued for my disney vacation until february 9. :sad2: i wish we could go-january seems like a nice time to go, and we don't mind the cooler weather.

when/what is espn weekend?

does anyone know if april, may, or june are good months?

ummm...i just realized that I put this in the wrong forum. i'm sorry. i meant to post it in the strategies forum. :headache: whoops.

Espn zone is for fans and they will have the opportunity to see their favorite ESPN sports celebrities and famous athletes at Disney MGM Studios. Its a yearly event held at WDW.... My Dh is dying to go then... :rolleyes1 :headache: ....
I think May is a great time to go.... (just not during mem. weekend)

The end of April/beginning of May would be a good time. You would be able to see the Flower and Garden Show, which is very nice...EPCOT has tons of beautiful displays!! It isn't too crowded then, and it is "regular" season, so the rooms are not too bad either. Hopefully, we will be headed for another trip around that time next year!! :goodvibes

I positively agree:thumbsup2 The weather is almost perfect then too. mid 70's to mid 80's...no Humidity (big factor for me & my DH) I was there twice at that time of year and never experienced even 1 day of rain...not even a quick storm. There's a very low chance of rain at that time. Warm enough to swim, but not so hot that you have to. The type of weather you have really helps make your WDW vacation magical !:wizard: You get the most for your money when you can comfortably stay in the parks longer, even all day w/o needing a break from the heat & storms.I don't know how anyone can really enjoy themselves in the high heat and humidity in the summers in FL. I know some like it hot & humid...I just wonder, how/why?:confused3
There's lower crowds, hardly any waiting in lines (for the most part) We would sometimes call on the same day we wanted PS's for even Character Dinners and even a few times just walked up to some Character Dinners and got seated right away. :thumbsup2 You can't beat this time of year at WDW !
:ssst: Shhhhh...maybe we shouldn't tell people about this b/c then it might start getting too over crowded then too. ;)

I would also agree with M Kasch. Our last trip was during the last week of April through the first week of May. The crowds were almost non-existent in April, and even smaller in May. The weather is great. Pool weather without the humidity that comes in June. This time of year is usually one of the driest times with little rain. And the flower and garden show is a big plus.

I am sold on April!!!!! It sounds almost too good to be true...little rain, comfortably warm weather, flower and garden show (I'm an avid gardener), and low crowds. And, it also gives us more time to save our money!! (Oh, yay! Maybe I can afford that $35,000 crystal studded castle at Disneyworld now. :rotfl:) But, seriously, pushing it back to April would be ideal for us b/c it does give us more time to save money, and it gives me time to make those 180 day out ressies. I really want to try Le Cellier and Victoria & Albert's this trip, and I was worried about being able to book them for a February or March trip. Thanks!!! This is great information!! :thumbsup2

I'm going to go check out rates for the last week in April.
