I sent the check and the credit card authorization form to our wedding coordinator (Tanis Armstrong) today. It needs to be in her hands by August 10th. I sent her an email asking her if it could be sent by snail mail or express mail. No reply. So I decided to send it today by regular mail and hope it makes it there in time. I got an email back after I got back from the post office that I should not send it via regular mail as it would not arrive until late next week, and definitely not by the 10th. I attempted to drive back to the post office and see if they could get the letter back and I could send it via priority express mail. Unfortunately the letter had already been put on a truck. So at this point now I am freaking out because she said in her email that it needed to be in her hands by July 10th. If I recall, doesn't it need to be in their hands 30 days prior and since July has 31 days in it, then July 11th should be ok. Oh God, now I truly am freaking out. I called her - no answer. I emailed her just now - no reply. I called Disney Weddings - they are out of the office. I left a message with the pager/mobile - no reply. I am so fed up I am just about ready to tell her that I am done with Disney and we are calling off this so-called Fairy Tale Wedding and use someone else like Orlando Weddings - which I might add is cheaper by about 1500 for intimates. ERRRGGGHHHHHHH!! I just don't know what to do. I don't want to necessarily go over her head and speak with a supervisor, but I am just about ready to do that because I am so angry! Atleast I have paid for the honeymoon and went through AAA and not through Disney themselves. Sorry, but right now I have a very bitter taste in my mouth as far as Disney is concerned.

Maybe a soon to be Disney Groom Freaking Out!

I am so sorry to hear about your dilemma. Actually, I called the DFTW people today because I have been waiting on a call from Tanis, and I was advised she was on vacation and would be back in the office on Monday. If I were you, I would try to get in touch with her then. Here is some pixie dust for you! pixiedust: HTH!

Our final payment was sent in about a week late because our BEO/Budget was not yet finalized. They seemed to be fine with it, and Disney is usually very accomdating. Since you sent a check, you can always wait until Monday, talk to Tanis and see if you need to overnight another check/CC Auth page, and then have them return your other check to you. It's not a big deal- just be sure to follow up on Monday. Everything will work out perfectly!

I agree that it is no a huge deal. we were late on our Letter of agreement because of mail issues and taht had a due date on it (arrived 1 week after) no big deal and our check was late as well because we were waiting for a bill. I do not think you need to panic - give them until Monday and I know it will all work out. I have faith you will still have your disney wedding.

Tanis was extremely short about needing it on the 10th. It seriously almost makes me want to say screw it and use another company. Disney's Fairy Tale Weddings at this point has made me quite upset if it isn't that obvious. We have had the estimate email from her as of the middle of June so it wasn't an issue of getting it done on time. It was an issue of however me getting paid for the summer course I teach currently so that I wouldn't have to put the entire thing on a credit card. I would hope that Disney would understand that and also see that they have 30 days until the wedding itself. I don't know why it is such a rough situation for them. I think this will be the one and only time I visit Disney World as I have experienced much more professionalism from other vacation locations.

The other option is just to do a credit card authorization and stop payment on the check. You can fax them the credit card auth and a picture of the front and back of your credit card and that will cover it and they will have it in time.

Great idea!!! :thumbsup2

I called Tanis and left a message that she should send back the check and instead faxed her a new payment using my new Disney Visa which arrived in the mail today. The great thing about this is that it is 0% interest and I earn some Disney Reward dollars by doing it this way. Tanis was nice enough to call back and spoke with her "leader" and she stated that the check would be late, but the payment would be accepted as it was mailed today. Thank God that everything will work out..and it will actually work out better now. :cheer2: :yay: :woohoo:

Yay! I'm happy everything's going to work out...in order to see the sunshine, you have to endure the rain!

an email from Tanis saying not to worry and that the check could arrive late. This is of course after I have faxed her the new information. I then received a new email from her stating to not send a fax. ERGH! I think evrything will be alright after I left 2 emails and 2 voicemails requesting confirmation that she will do what I have requested her to do. I am Groomzilla!
