The dining plan is typically more expensive than paying out of pocket for the same food. We regularly do character meals & eat at table service restaurants, and still spend a lot less than we would buying the dining plan.Hi everyone! I'm a DVC member and will be staying at the Poly for 2 weeks next September. I'm not sure if buying the DDP for both of us would be worthwhile. We plan to just eat on site for our entire stay but I hear of people having loads of snack credits left over at the end of their stay. Is the DDP discounted or does it work out the same if you were to pay as you go? If we paid per meal I don't really want a big bill upon check out but at the same time would prefer to just bill to our room for ease.
I would appreciate peoples thoughts and advice.
Thanks!![]()
The dining plan was a deal years ago, but these days it's more expensive than paying out of pocket. A lot of people like it because it makes their vacation almost completely prepaid (although the dining plan does not cover tips), but they are paying quite a bit extra to have their meals prepaid.
