I have an ADR for Akershus for lunch on our upcoming trip. I am sure my girls (6 and 7) would love to see the princesses here but honestly, I am not sure about the food. They are picky eaters and I wonder if seeing the princesses are worth it on this one.

I'd love it if you could share your thoughts, opinions, and experiences. I thought about changing to Via Napoli but again, not sure.

Thanks

We ate there once, also for the princesses. I ordered an authentic Norwegian dish, and wasn't too fond of it. Everyone else really enjoyed their meals for the most part. We did not go with any children, so I don't know what the children's menu selection looks like. When we were there, there were many children because of the princesses, & they all seemed to really enjoy it! There is a children's menu as well, which is much more child-friendly.
Definitely worth the princess experience for a lesser price than Cinderella's Royal Table.

Via Napoli is on my top 10 list! We loved everything about it, including the atmosphere and the food! The pizza was wonderful! We had a nice mother and young daughter sitting next to us and the girl seemed to really enjoy it, as well.

Both kids can be picky eaters and DH isn't too adventurous so I opted for a late breakfast there instead of lunch.

We have never been to WDW in 15 years and this will be the first time taking the kids (7,5,1) We opted for breakfast at Akershus for the same concerns you have about the food. Love the idea, the princesses etc... just not Norwegian food. So breakfast it is!! There are so many more character dining options from when I went with my family when I was 10...I think there was only breakfast...but I could be wrong!

We had lunch there is 2009 and enjoyed it. Had 3 kids at the time (2,4,7) and they all enjoyed there meals. Basic Kid fare. I got the open faced chicken sandwich and thought it was delicious. There was also a food bar, but the things there were not kid friendly. Interactions with the Princess' were great and got to meet Belle before we were seated for a picture.

We have dined there twice. The first time was better than the 2nd but I think that was mostly because we ate late the 2nd time and it was super busy.

The menu is different but there are "normal" dishes, like the chicken sandwich the pp mentioned. There are normal things on the kids menu as well. Hot dog, etc.
