not so scary holloween party question...

i have been to mickey's x- mas party...but is the halloween themed night more for kids...or can me and my husband to be (who has never been to disney!) enjoy it as well??/

Hello.......I have been doing a lot of reading about the halloween party. We are two mid 40's long time married couple and we are going to the party by our selves for the first time sept 30th. From what I have read the party is fun for everyone. Sounds like most kids dress up and about half the adults. We aren't dress up sort of people, so we are wearing Disney halloween t shirts. I plan on having fun no matter what. Hope you will to........Jan

Everyone can enjoy the Halloween party! I am a grandmother and I enjoy it! My grown daughter loves the parade best of all the parades. The first year we went I only wore a Disney Halloween sweatshirt in honor of the party. They next time we went I wore a Mouseketeer costume and now we have really gotten into it and are already planning what we are going to use for costumes this year. Absolutely everyone dresses up and goes trick or treat around the Magic Kingdom. The parade is so clever and the special effects are a treat to see. The ride of the Headless Horseman is thrilling and I don't know how he manages that big black horse galloping down Main Street as fast as can be!! I think you will be delighted if you decide to go. My DH and I have been twice. We enjoyed it both times. We're in the 46 -51 age range, no munchkins. We enjoyed the trick or treating, lots of good candy, esp if you have a sweet tooth. The rides were great, the fireworks, the parade, and you get a free photo that arrives at your home in about two/three weeks. We dressed up some, not real fancy. Last year we were "tourist" and wore our matching Castaway Cay t shirts from the cruise and a pair of shorts with a Hawaiian Lei. Both times it has been warm, so if you dress up at all remember that.

My fiance and I are going as well. We were going to dress up, but I figured if we went to the park early that day, that I wouldn't want to wear my costume all day, or didn't want to have to worry about renting a locker, and finding some place to change later on. We decided to make Halloween T-shirts instead. Ours are posted on the T-shirt thread. We're looking forward to it, it sounds like a lot of fun!

We did last year make sure u say "Trick or Treat" lot of rude people came up and just held there bags out u coud see the disapoment in the CM faces. it was alot of fun we mayde it a game say it loud and clear the CM would smile and double dip two hands in our bag

Dh an I are going for our 3rd year....MNSSHP is my favorite thing at WDW. It's so much fun for everyone, and you feel special because only the people at the parties get to see and do the things they have (unlike the Christmas party). It is a wonderful night of fun!

A few years ago we - four adults & no children - went to the Halloween party. We had a great time! We concentrated on Halloween night activities. Enjoy Mickey's Party!!
