So my mom IS comming! She is flying in on the 25th at night and leaving on the first in the morning. She is staying at ASMu, with 3 day hoppers. She will also be going to MNSSHP with us!

Unfortunatly I got hurt yesterday! I rolled my ankle over and gave it a pretty good sprain! (it is a very weak ankle because when I was younger I broke the growth plate in it and it is not supported properly now) Plus the needle broke when I was sewing today and it shot and hit me in the eye (the muscle part right in the corner, thankfully it was there, but it still really hurt!!)

Hi everyone!! Well Kyle's family didn't take well to the news about my mom, in fact his mom said that she would cancel her vacay if my mom was there .

So my mom moved to the GF, and will be keeping to her own agenda. I feel so bad for my mom, she will be there just after her 60th bday (Oct 23) and she thought that she could celebrate it with us. She is hurt, but she said she would do anything to make it all be okay. I am so frustrated right now, I just don't know what to do!! It was only going to be 3 days that she would have been with us, I really don't understand what the big deal is, it is not as if this vacay has been planned that we would all be together at all times, none of out ADR's match or anything! She said to me on the phone last night that she just wants to be able to see Abby at MNSSHP, and she would make herself invisible the rest of the time, how fair is that??!!!

I just don't get it!! We are still going to get together with my mom for the three days for sure, I couldn't let her be there on her own like that, it just isn't right!! I will keep you guys all updated on this!! I guess as the saying goes, it never rains but it pours!

That is awful Tiff...I am so sorry I understand that your Mom doesn't want to cause any trouble but she shouldn't feel like she can't see Abby on her vacation The inlaws should not have the power to control how your Mom spends her vacation

I feel your pain, we have vacationed many times with extended family, sometimes it works out well, sometimes we wonder what the heck we were thinking!
I am so sorry that your inlaws and mom don't get along well enough to share Abby for a few days, all of them could enjoy seeing her delight on vacation.

Thank you so much guys!! It really helps to be able to talk to such caring understanding people!! Kyle talked to his brother last night, and he says he can understand both sides of the situation, and he is fine with my mom being there, and us spending some time with her. So I guess our biggest problem will appears to be MNSSHP. My mom has bought her ticket to come with us. It was MIL's intention to come with us too, but she hasn't bought her ticket yet. So I am not too sure if she is just going to not go because my mom will be there, or come anyways...I guess we will find out soon!!

We asked her what was wrong, and she said she just wants to sleep with Mommy. She seemed different and I asked if she wanted to talk, and she said yes, so when we got into her room she asked why Nan doesn't like Granny My heart just broke for her. I sorted through it, and she slept with me. lol I just can't believe this thing has gone so far as to hurt Abby We have said to Kyle's mom that Kyles brother doesn't seem to mind she is there (My mom called him personally last night) and we don't care, so we will see her for a few days, she is more than welcome to come with us, but we understand if she doesn't and would rather spend the day with BIL. And that is it, we don't want to hear anymore about it!

So I am hoping that will be the end of this!! It reminds me of being in high school to be honest! LOL

I will share a couple of pics from our trip in Dec 06...(1st)we had just gotten soaked on Kali, and Abby wanted to meet Pooh, so here they are, and she was just thrilled to meet him! (2nd) Right after she had done BBB at DTD, they were really backed up for the photoshoot, so they told us to go get some lunch and come back. As we were walking to Chez McDonalds Kyle stopped to look at the ducks with Abby.

Hi everyone! Well as I told you guys we got our ME info and the ME yellow luggage tags. We still haven't recieved our extras for the Magic Your Way package...commemorative tags etc. My BIL has gotten it. I called Disney this morning and they told me that they have until two weeks before we leave to get it to us. Is that right?? I am jsut wondering how they got theirs and we didn't, even when we booked a good month before they did?? Any ideas?

Sorry about all of the family issues that you're dealing with. I am hoping that some kind of compromise can be worked out before the trip. There is no reason that your Mom shouldn't be able to enjoy some time with you, Kyle and Abby, too! I am quite surprised at your MIL's attitude. The important thing is to make sure that you all have a magical time and that Abby doesn't get in the middle of this (which is starting to happen).

Hello everyone!!

Sorry it has been such a long time since my last update!! Thing are getting crazy the closer our trip comes!! i have a few updates, first is that we are now leaving on Monday the 20th!! 2 weeks today!! Since we are driving to Minneapolis (8 hour drive), we decided to leave an extra day and drive to Fargo (half way) on Monday. Then we will leave Farge after Breakfast on Tuesday and hopefully arrive at our Hotel in Minneapolis just after lunch. We are going to the mall for a bit and then back to the hotel for an early night!! Our flight leaves just before 7 am on Wed!!

We also bought a camcorder!! It was on sale, nothing fancy, but good enough for what we need it for! I am really happy to be able to get parades, fireworks etc on tape!! I have bought some odds and ends to surprise Abby with while we are there too (glow sticks, stickers etc). Also some Halloweeney stuff for the room, just to make it a bit more festive!

I have been sewing some too. I would post pics, but the three things that I am working on are all works in progress right now! The one set (princess skirt and top) I am just waiting for Abby to get home from school so I can double check the size before I sew it. The other skirt, is a tiered twirly skirt, which is so far just cut and pinned ready for sewing.

Things seem to be moving right along!! I woke up on Saturday with a cold!! Sore throat, runny nose the works!! Now today I have a mild fever and cough!! I guess I finally caught what Abby had about a week and a half ago!! At least it will be over before we leave. Now if I can just get things done while I am sick!!!

Well that is all I have for now, I will be back with another update by Wednesday, hopefully with some pics!!! Also we have 2 extra dining credits ...any suggestions? Kyle and I were thinking about maybe going to CG at the CR for an alone time dinner, but not too sure.
