Not So Random October TR! ~Updated 11/12~We're Here!

Well I promised you an update, so here it goes, as best as I can make sense of everything that went on yesterday!

Disney called my MIL and was confirming all of the ressies as we were now a Grand Gathering, and somehow she was put as the `planner`. I guess my mom hadn`t changed her ressies over to the GF yet, and my MIL got mad, mad isn`t quite the word for it actually! My mom had full intentions of moving to the GF or AKL, as she didn`t want to `butt in` on that part of the family`s vacation. My MIL just didn`t understand that, called Kyle yelling him and told him that no offence, but I don`t want to walk our out of my hotel room and see her, so go fix this now. So Kyle called my mom explained what was going on, and she said that she was going to be calling Disney this week to change her ressies over. She hadn`t done so yet because she had just had dental surgery and her RA/Lupus is flaring up. My mom got really hurt by what Kyle`s mom had said and she cancelled her vacation. Then the calls between the two started and things just kept escallating (sp). I really felt at about 2 am that I needed to call Jerry Springer...LOL

I really felt like I have been pulled through the ringer this morning. I said to Kyle that it is terrible that all this has to happen within a week of us leaving!! WOW As some of you know our car was hit in the parking lot on Monday, leaving us with what is now over $3000 damage to the car! We just had bought it 2 months ago. So we will be driving down to MSP in a smashed up car! I really hope everyone`s emotions and feelings are all in check by Monday, I really don`t want the magic taken from the most Magical place, it would devastate me!

I am sorry this update is all over the place, but I really cannot think straight yet! Now to pull it together and go shopping for last minute things...what a day it will be!

Tiff I am so sorry that you have to go through all this...it just breaks my heart that your MIL is acting this way I know things will get better for you...just think in 6 days you will be at the most magical place on earth

You are going to the Happiest Place on Earth and your family is acting horrible! Please don't spat with Kyle about it all.......you two need to stay united and make it a fabulous trip for Abby.

Family woes........I am so sorry!

So your mom is not going at all now?
Did your mom and MIL never get along?
Did they know each other before you were married?

Sorry I am nosey, I am just trying to sort it out.

My quickest solution is to eat some M & M's, breathe in and out deeply, then plant a smile on your face and convince yourself that you are going to have a fabulous time, come hell or high water. Then do it!!

Tiff, I am so sorry to hear about everything that's been going on over the last few days!
I will be thinking of you and hoping that things will work out so you will all be happy. It would be a shame to take the trip that you were looking forward to for so long and not have the wonderful, magical time that you should be having, with Kyle and Abby.
was40 is definitely right on the issue of arguing with Kyle. Neither of you should be in the middle of this and the two of you should definitely stick together, and enjoy your trip.

Good Morning everyone!! Well things here are simmering nicely...lol My mom is basically refusing to talk to me, she feels that I have taken my MILs side, and no amount of explaining seems to want to change that. She is really upset, which I understand, BUT it isn't my fault. She was speaking with Kyle on the phone the day before yesterday and said that her and my dad are thinking of distancing themselves from me becuase I have shown who my loyalty it to She also wrote me a letter that was basically placing full blame on me as well as other things. Total crazyness right now!!

Now for the new news...LOL I have been with Abby at the hospital for a day, her asthma went crazy, and we couldn't get it back under control. She ended up at childrens for yesterday through last night. They finally got her wheezing undercontrol, but her oxygen sat levels wouldn't come up. So they got the attending in and she said they suspect a collapsed or partially collapsed lung!!! I just about fell over! They took some xrays, and they were fine! I was so scared for her! So they gave her another mask (smokey as she calls them) and she went for a walk. We got her levels up to 94 - 95, and they sent us home. We have been home for a couple of hours now. Abby is trying to sleep, but the masks make her throw up so bad, so she is waking up every once and awhile to throw up. I went to the all night pharmacy to get her perscriptions, and then Kyle went to work. The doctor said she is to be off school until we leave, so I have a note for the school and told us that I have to take her to her regular DR before we go...that is a scary though with this being Friday and we leave Monday!! I told Kyle if I can't get her in to her DR, then I will go to a walk in first thing Monday morning!

I would like to thank you all for your wonderful words, they sure did help me!!! You guys are all amazing!! Thank you!!

I know that Abby has the "go ahead" to vacation with Mickey, and you are all going to have a great time!
There is always more to every family conflict than meets the eye (that is true for every misunderstanding and argument).

So I guess I will fill the rest of you in with Abby. She had an apt with her regular DR yesterday. He said she is moving air really well, even though her oxygen sats were still a bit low. He thinks that when she threw up the steriods right at the cusp time for throwing them up (she threw up at 27 mins and they need them to stay for at least 30), that they didn't have much effect at all. He gave her the all clear to leave, he thought she would be 90% better by Sunday. He said to get aggressive with her ventolin (every 3 hours) and continue with the oral steriods and her flovent in the morining and at bed time. Throughout the day she got better, less coughing, her eyes brigtened (they go so black when her asthma acts up), and she started to get so excited about Disney! She slept really well last night, woke up this morning and went to change the countdown calendar. She then went back to bed...lol Here's hoping for a day full of recovery for her!!

I am going shopping with MIL today for snacks, and last minute things. Kyle is going to stay home with Abby. I am starting to once again get really excited about leaving!! I cannot believe how close this is comming! I can't wait to show Abby Mall of America, I haven't been there in years, and I am looking forward to heading back. I guess I am getting a lot more excited than I though!! I definatley have the Disney energy inside again!! Now to get my mind into finishing packing!!! LOL I am going to pay for wireless at the resort for a few days, so there will be periodic updates. I will be back on to update a bit tomorrow as well! Thanks so much for sticking through this turmoil filled PTR guys!

Oh my oh my. I haven't been on here for a few days and you've had quite the wild ride and you aren't even at Disney yet I'm so glad Abbey is feeling better. Boy do I know how she feels. I have asthma and it was bad when I was kid. Poor thing. Are you overloaded with pixie dust yet because look out here comes some more
The mall is so great and now the park in the middle has been rethemed for Nickelodeon. We haven't seen the ride changes but we did get to see Blue and Dora when we were there. I'm so glad you may post an occasional hello when you are there. Have an absolutely fabulous magical time and remember your family and you are the most important things and you do what you want to do to be happy and forget about everyone and everything else.

Hi everyone! I just wanted to pop in and thank you all for your wonderful well wishes! It really means alot! Your pixie dust has made it to me, and we are officially in a very Disney mood!!

I really don't think that I will be able to come by here tomorrow...we are way to far behind with everything! We are half packed so far, so I need to finish that up. Get the dogs bathed and their nails trimmed, Kyles aunty is taking the two of them! I picked up some odds and ends today, and of course forgot a bunch of things! Abby has a hair trimming tomorrow as well. She is feeling a whole bunch better, and is certainly excited! She said that she is looking forward to tomorrow so she can say 'I am leaving tomorrow"...lol (I think we all are too!!)

So with that I will leave!! I will look forward to popping in while we are gone!! Take care everyone!! Thank you so much for reading along!
