DS got the lifeguard job!
He starts Friday.

He was hired "on the spot" after a lengthy interview (an hour long).
Woo Hoo!
I am so proud!

Now, the work permit thing is a bit of a pain, lots of driving around today for that DS is only 15

has anyone tried applesause instead of oil in their cookies/cakes/brownie mixes?

I've used applesauce many times instead of oil in some cakes or I cut down on the oil that is called for in the recipe. It makes a much more dense cake with the applesauce.
DD went to culinary school and over there, that would be a sin! They only used butter in the recipes.
