*NOT POLITICAL* Chelsea's Wedding

I thought Chelsea's dress was just lovely. Classic, simple and elegant. The "belt" on it was stunning.

I thought she looked great. She was glowing, the dress was beautiful and her new dh seems like a perfect match for her.

Was what was written covered with paper so it would remain private? It just looked like a black scroll on a paper around nothing.

I'm glad the other weeding happened with no problems as well. They are likely the most famous non famous couple of the weekend!

No, there was nothing private about the contract. It's a formulaic contract, prescribed by centuries of Jewish law and tradition. There's nothing "private" about it. The provisions of the contract are non-negotiable. You can see them written in two columns (Hebrew/Aramaic in the right column, English in the left) in the black scrolled column.

Chelsea looked wonderful - she just glows and looks soooo happy. It's so nice to see!:goodvibes

You're absolutely right ..in fact I am starting to think I need to send you a PM post when I feel I'm getting to that point (just kidding wouldn't want to fill the PM box :rotfl:)

Just remember to send me a PM on a different thread when I'm at that point, myself. :badpc:
:lmao: "Remember when YOU said to Ignore, Ignore, Ignore?" ;)

I believe the reason Bill Clinton looks so grim (for lack of a better word) walking Chelsea down the aisle may be due to what he said in an interview recently. It was noted that he was known for being emotional, and he was asked if he was worried about tearing up/crying as he walked her down the aisle. He said he had been concerned about it and was going to do is best to NOT cry.....Because the second he teared up, it would become about HIM and not HER and that was not what he wanted on her wedding day. He didn't want the news stories to focus on how the "former President cried as he walked his daughter down the aisle." He wanted it to her her day. He just wanted to be the father of the bride. Not surprising, considering how much he dotes on her. I think he may have had to try VERY hard to keep his composure during that walk.

I'd believe this.

Beautiful pictures!!! Chelsea is such a beautiful bride! Oh, and the look on the groom's face - that's love!!!!! They certainly had a perfect day weather wise!!!!:):wizard:

Stop feeding the negative people. That's HOW they gain significance, by being negative and trying to pull focus. This is prabably a pattern they do in real life, too. Sad really. Let's not let this girl make this thread about her remark. Just Ignore, Ignore, Ignore. :surfweb:
Very wise! I was all ready to respond to a few of the nasties on this thread but I won't lower myself to their level. Thanks for the post. :)

As for Clinton losing weight, this has been an ongoing struggle for him and he needs to stay slim now for his health. If Chelsea said it I imagine she did so out of concern with a bit of teasing thrown in. These two seem to be a bit fond of each other to say the least.

Jennasis se post 77 ignore ignore ignore ...I'm learning :surfweb:
I don't think ignoring cattiness really has much impact. It doesn't make it go away, and silence leaves the impression of assent.

So what is your solution?

I read she changed into another VW for the receoption, described as a Grecian style with a black ribbon waist. Have not see a picture of that though.

And thanks for the information about the framed piece. I just couldn't see writing, it looked blank. My eyes...

Just on Good Morning America:

The expression of Bill walking Chelsea down the aisle was of him close to tears, biting his lip, so he could hold it all back.

The Bride and Groom song that they danced to was "At Last."

Here is a very young picture of the two. Don't know when this was taken, but Chelsea hasn't had that hair for years. Supposedly they met in 1993, when Chelsea was 13 and Marc was 15. They've been friends ever since. They attended Stanford University together, where they both studied finance.

Oh I missed it on GMA..actually I'm more of a Fox news channel person, maybe they'll show it too. Yesterday morning on another show they were talking about Fathers & Brides, in particular Presidents and other historical figures. They said Gen Ulysses S Grant walked his daughter up & then stared at his shoes the whole time so he wouldn't "crack" and Pres Nixon let the cameras go just so far so the country wouldn't see him cry either. It was touching.

Ahhh, that is sweet. My DD is getting married next month and I'm sure it will be a battle for her dad not to cry.

I think Chelsea looked beautiful - she seemed so, so happy, she was radiant. Her Vera Wang dress was gorgeous. Best of luck to them!

I just googled it... came from Bill himself, apparently. That said - I'm giving her the benefit of the doubt and believe she said it with no malicious intent. And I'm confident that he wasn't offended or hurt or he wouldn't have put it out there for people to judge his much loved and adored daughter. More than likely it had to do with his health/heart problems. Or, it was said in jest. Or both. People do kid around with each other, and it really can just be in fun.

People choose to believe the good or they choose to believe the bad. I'm choosing to believe he was tickled by it or we wouldn't even know about it.

debg

I would think that as a heart attack survivor he is supposed to keep his weight down. If he needed to lose a few pounds because of the heart problems, I would totally pull the bride card on my father and request that he lose those 15 pounds "for my wedding".
