Not magical......but,

Our first trip in 2004 our dd4 was picked to escort Cinderella from outside Toontown into the place where she signed autographs so we got to know her from the walk. The next day we were at EPCOT and guess who was Snow White??? DH and I knew right away, but DD was clueless. I had no idea the same person could be multiple characters!! But, yep, we experienced it firsthand!!

LOL! I have a friend who is a former "friend of" at Disneyland Tokyo and WDW. At WDW she was mainly Cinderella, but at Disneyland Tokyo she played Alice, Belle, Cinderella, and Aurora! I'm not sure how that even worked because Alice is so much shorter than the other 3!

Thats odd! Maybe Tokyo are not as strict on height? or perhaps it was all in the footwear.

No, she's taller in "real life". She's definitely too tall for Alice!!!!
Must be less strict in Tokyo, they seem to have very different rules to the US parks in a couple of aspects. I watched video tours of Tokyo and it seems they let people in dressed up as the princess' also, some of their costumes looked amazing!

My DS is really good at noticing things like this. I have never noticed, but he would always let us know when we had already seen somebody as another character! He has an old girlfriend that is one of the face characters I think is what they call them. I am not sure if I would know it was her or not!

We had the same one trip. First day she was Ariel and next day she was a fairy. I didn't realize until I was going thru our pictures.

We had this happen once. DD was 6 at the time. She met Vidia in MK one day and then a couple days later the same person was Pocahontas at AK. She didn't notice but we did! She had however made a comment about Snow White not looking the same the second time we saw her.

My friend worked at WDW for two summers as Snow White and told me that once you were assigned a character, you stayed that characeter all summer. I wonder if they did away with that or if Elsa is just in too high of demand. My oldest would definitely notice so I hope that isn't the case when we go next week!

You hope the kids don't notice as you don't want it to spoil the magic (i.e. when they still believe it's really them). That's upsetting though that the princess was not very princessy and thus, cold. Did your daughter enjoy the experience? She may have been too excited to even notice.

Wow. When I met Elsa on my last trip I was surprised how more willing she wanted to talk with me than Anna or Rapunzel, that day.

On our trip last month, Prince Charming at 1900 Park Fare was Gaston the next morning at Magic Kingdom. My teenagers noticed, but enjoyed him so much more as Gaston.

So funny reading this as we noticed our rapunzel looked just like Aurora the next day. I had to go back and put pictures up side by side to make sure after reading this and sure enough its clearly the same person.

Better??

On our Disney Magic cruise this summer, "Anna" was also a character handler whenever she wasn't "Anna". It always made me chuckle. It was hard not to figure it out as we would see her every day. Unlike WDW, the Magic is pretty small, so the chances that you are going to see her as "Anna" and a handler are about 100%!

We had breakfast at 1900 PR and saw Mary Poppins. A couple of nights later, she was Lady Tremaine at 1900 PF for dinner. DH was the only one who noticed. I had to look at pictures later to see it.

Ahem, not to be too picky but er....perhaps a different word would have been better fit at the end of this quote.

It just always makes me cringe a little to see high school teams referred to as men's and girls', when players on both teams are the same ages.

I was under the impression that they hire you based on your face and the same "face" can be used as multiple characters.

'Round these parts, (where I live), they are referred to as the Boys Team and the Girls Team. Never seen a HS team referred to as "men". And "Young Ladies Field Hockey Team" is oh, so cumbersome! :smokin:

We went to ETwB one day and my DS15 thought she was absolutely gorgeous. Two days later at DHS Elsa was the same girl. He noticed it immediately and couldn't stop muttering "she's so pretty."

I didn't think it was the same person but they took pictures and compared later. They never let DD hear and compared later in private. lol
