Our USAir/MetroJet flight from BOS->MCO has disappeared off USAir's website schedules through 11/3. I got email from USAir last week saying that travel from 11/3 onward would be finalized by 10/14...since our flight has been dropped off the schedule until then, I don't think it's looking very good for it after 11/3 (our flight is on 11/8, returning 11/17).

I'm starting to almost feel like I'd rather drive. :(

Hmmmm.....my 11/8 flight with return 11/18 is still on the site and I am not having a problem. I wonder what the difference is?

Different airport? Different flight? :) Ours is still on there, in theory...but since it was cancelled every day for over a week, and now has been taken off the schedule entirely, that is why I'm not too hopeful that when the final schedule changes come out 10/14 that it will still be there.

Hi Maranda,
Good Luck with this, keep us posted as to what they do, we are booked for 11/25
bos to mco metrojet as well.

Thanks

was canceled for two weeks according to the travel agent. But, when I called US Air, they still were taking bookings. I found that very strange! Good luck on your flight... We didnt find out that ours was canceled till last minute... But travel agencies knew it was going to be... We never even got a call from the airlines. *sigh*
Hope

We flew LGA to MCO on 9/23 and returned on 9/29; both flights were cancelled. The outbound flight I had actually checked on a few hours before and it was still there, but when I arrived at the airport it was gone. Our flight on the way back was also cancelled; they rebooked us on another direct flight but it was very early in the day, and we were looking for a late flight out, so they put us on a flight that connected through Pittsburgh.

I have to say though, that they were very helpful in trying to accomodate us, and overall the cancellations were no big deal. We were just glad to be traveling.

Miranda!

Make sure to wear your ribbon so I can find you since we will be there at the same time! Have a great trip!

We are flying MetroJet out of Hartford on 11/16 and returning 11/24. I called yesterday and they said those flights were still as scheduled. I checked their website and they are still selling tickets for those flights. However, when I check the flight number status it says cannot find flight.! Not sure if that is a glitch in the system or they aren't flying. Guess we will have to wait and see.

God Bless America

they are finishing up with their schedule changes still today. we haven't gotten our schedule change yet for our flights in dec.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but I received a call yesterday from US Airways informing me that our 10/14 direct Metrojet flight out of Hartford to MCO was cancelled. They have rebooked us on a later flight with a connection. I'm upset that I made the reservations over 6 months ago so we could arrive early and now we will not arrrive until after 5:00. This wasn't the first change either. The flight was originally scheduled to leave at 7:00am, it was changed to 11:15am but at least we would be arriving in the afternoon. Our return flight has also changed. They offered to put us in first class, but Surprise! no seats were available. I can get a full refund but with less than a week left, I cannot find a reasonable airfare. I was quoted $684.00 per person from American! I guess I should be happy I have a flight but I'm not too confident about that either! I would check on your flights often, as of last Friday mine was ok and now it is gone!

We are flying MetroJet outof LaGuardia on 11/7. Does anyone know the status
of flights from LGA? Also, if the airlines cancel (not us) could we then request a
flight out of Newark? (Which I would prefer)

Any comments?

Also: with tighter security, any problems with E-tickets?

At least you got a phone call. I have not heard
anything (thinking "no news is good news").
When is a good time to start PANICKING?

kimmar067--They cancelled my MetroJet flight out of BWI and re-booked me on a US Air flight out of BWI, but connecting in Charlotte. I called and they switched me to a direct flight out of National no problem. So if they've changed your flight at all and you prefer Newark, they might go ahead and re-book you at Newark even if they haven't cancelled your flight.

I'll try that, but do you think they will charge me the stupid $100
per ticket fee to change my tickets?

Have they made any changes to your flight so far? With mine, they had us flying out two hours earlier, 6:55pm instead of 8:45pm. But we were still arriving at the same time due to the connection in Charlotte. I really wanted to fly out of National all along since it's 10 minutes from my dh's work and I'm picking him up there after the kids get out of school.

I just called and explained that between the two hours earlier and having to be at the airport 3 hours ahead of time, it would be very difficult for us to make this flight. I asked if it would be possible for us to fly out of National instead and I had the flight numbers ready that I wanted. The guy was very nice and loved that I had the exact flight numbers. He did warn me that I was risking this flight being cancelled since they haven't been flying to Orlando out of National yet. But I figure if it's cancelled, I will get it re-booked out of Dulles, which I prefer over BWI.

They didn't charge me at all, in fact seemed happy that I wasn't cancelling altogether.

We still have not heard anything. According to the website and customer service, our flight is still on, but the schedules are still not finalized yet, I think. My December MetroJet flight (to Fort Myers, not Orlando) was cancelled already, and I was rebooked on a different flight. The Disney flights we are anxiously awaiting to find out about are for 11/8 and 11/17.

Well it's official. Metrojet direct flights from Boston are gone. After being assured by customer service 4 days ago that the flights were still on (at the time I was like, yeah right), tonight our flights are showing up cancelled, off the schedule, and we have been rebooked.

Trying to decide what to do now. :(

It's official for us too! All direct flights out of Hartford are gone. Metrojet rebooked us on a connecting flight through Phillie which we didn't want. We decided to take a direct flight out of LaGuardia and had no problem changing it. Our dates are 11/16 - 11/24.

anyone reading this thread should check
out "Metrojet" thread, too....

:( Sorry to hear about your flights. Our flight from Boston to MCO was also cancelled as was our flight home. We got the airline to refund our tickets because the flights they changed us to were not direct. We are now on AA non-stop. Let's hope it stays that way!!
