We visited our local Disney Store to enquire on the price of 21 day WDW tickets - we waited a good few minutes before the cast member looked up from what she was doing behind the till to serve us. No apology for ignoring us. We asked about 21 day tickets and she said we only do 7 and 14 day tickets - I said (jokingly) but I would have thought you being Disney you would sell them - her reply was we only sell tickets as a favour to the parks. I couldn;t believe it I was seething. There was no helpfulness at all - and this particular cast member has been working there a while. If she had only said sorry we don;t but you can check on line I would have been happy. Not impressed. BTW we already have priced them on line and just out of interest thought would ask in the Disney Store.

Another point we have booked our flights only through Thomas Cook and we asked for a price for 21 day Disney ticket and 14 day Universal ticket - the prices were £50 each more expensive than we can get online. So by us looking on line have saved £300 just from sourcing the tickets ourselves. Just be careful if you ask travel agents to price ticekts always check them out yourselves.

We are going to order our tickets this week from travelrepublic.co.uk for Universal tickets.

Not sure whether to order our Disney tickets direct from Disney or from travelrepublic, there is only £5 difference (dearer) going direct to Disney so we will see.

Plus travelrepublic.co.uk issue actual tickets and not vouchers as Thomas Cook were issuing.

Not very impressive CS at all :(. If it is the store I am thinking of (M.C. by any chance?), then I can't say I am surprised. There are one or two fabulous CMs in there and some really, really poor ones - literally poles apart.

We had an 'incident' there yesterday which made us feel very, very uncomfortable. DH even went and spoke to the Manager (and that's not like my DH but he was upset). The Manager couldn't really have cared less - and the 'incident' was even against Disney regulations. It was a very shocking attitude to an upsetting issue which could have potentially also brought into play child safety issues. I am not going into details here but happy for you to PM me if you'd like to know more - if it is that store in fact - pays to watch out in future ::yes::.

I noticed for the first time yesterday that they were advertising park tickets - have never even noticed before. I am a shareholder of DLRP and the first few times I went in there and showed my card for discount, the staff used to look at me like I was stupid!

On the other hand, I once mentioned in passing that I was buying items for my DD1's party bags and without prompting, a CM went out back and came back with a load of old Lion King lithographs to put in them, and some Princess wallplanners :goodvibes. Just goes to show, depends on the member of staff.

Glad to hear you got sorted out with tickets anyway - or will do. I agree with wanting tickets in your hand rather than a voucher - means you don't have the hassle of having to change somewhere.

Hope you enjoy your trip - didn't notice when it was. Can I ask where you are flying from? Are you going from Newcastle?

As you have discovered, you will nearly always pay a premium for buying park tickets from Travel Agents.

If you use Quidco and want 21 day tickets, quite often the best bet is to order through WDTC via Quidco as they offer 2% cashback on tickets.

Thanks for this we have looked into it - but when we completed teh transaction - we found out the tickets weren;t tickets they were e-tickets - otherwise there was a £5 postage fee per ticket - which I think is absolutely disgraceful - so needless to say we cancelled teh ticekts from WTC and will be buying them from elsewhere.

What on earth do you want to buy 21 day tickets ?

Tickets for 14 days must be enough for Disney

Spend money saved and buy Tickets for the other Parks .

Buy a 4 day ticket & a 3 day ticket .

There is so much to see ,of Florida, outside of Disney even on way to other Parks.

What About Kennedy Space Centre ? It is Well worth a visit

It depends on what you want from your trip,
While my boys was young I wanted to do only disney making the most of being on site!

Because if you are there longer than 14 days you don't have to choice whether you can go to Disney at the start or end of your holiday. For not much extra it gives you flexibility.

We are AP holders - travel a couple of times a year and do a Disney park most days. Yes, we do other things but I like to know that I can go in the parks when I want (which was around 35 days in 2013). :thumbsup2

Plus a 21 day ticket gives you 7 extra days (with all the flexibility that involves) for about £20 more than a 14 day ticket. It's pretty much a no-brainer - it's worth a small amount of money for the flexibility it gives you, even if you only spend 14/21 days of it, it allows you to build in rest days/going to other attractions days.

We are wanting 21day WDW Ultimate tickets too, the best deal I have found so far is Expedia with 12% cashback (check whichever cashback site you are registered with). But Expedia only issue vouchers, not real tickets. I am happy with vouchers for Universal and SW/BG etc but not sure about WDW as want to be able to prebook FP+ and not sure if vouchers can be linked into MDE.

For real tickets TravelRepublic are the best prices I have found.

If they're the same sort of e-tickets that Disney send out then yes (ie Will Call tickets), you can link them to MDE.

We didn't want e tickets or vouchers to be exchanged at the parks on arrival as we have done this before and it was a hassle with a child who just wanted to enter mk and couldn't understand why we had to queue for tickets. It took sine of the magic Away

We have bought tickets from Travel republic and they issue actual tickets and no postage costs

OH MAN TELL ME ABOUT IT......

QUIDCO or Top cash backs mobile app had 5% on disney store purchases a week before and up to Xmas day when I went in to get tickets I was told they only had 2013 tickets in and would only get the 2014 on January first! The staff member was super friendly even though it was super busy(they just got the big stuffed olafs back in) but I remember he also said "we only really supply them as a curtesy".

It's just another one of those reasons that it sucks being a Disney fan in the UK.

List should include stores that only cater to kids, no D23 incentive, blu-rays and DVD have extras striped back, staggered release dates.................

You do know what website you're on, right?

Our last trip was over 3 weeks long and we went to Universal for one day. Rest was pure Disney.

I don't go to Florida - I go to Disney World.

I think it's great there are 21 day tickets. We had annual passes last time but will probably get 21 dayers if next trip is another long one.

Yes Torsie24 .... I do know what site I am on.

This site also gives Information on Other Parks & attractions.

The Real point that I am trying to make is

You have Saved Hard for your holiday and while you are entitled to stay in

The Disney Area for the 3 weeks there Is a Wider area of Orlando to

just " Look around & Explore " which could give you just as much enjoyment.

I have been going to the Disney area 2 times a year for 12 years and I

have travelled many hundreds of miles & been to Disney World numerous
times .

I am not knocking Disney World in any way but there is more to see.

Sorry Woodview but while I agree there is more to the area than Disney that has absolutely nothing to do with buying a 21 day ticket.
We spend more time away from Disney than in it but when we are there for longer periods (our trips are often upto 25 nights) we want the flexibilty to go in an out as required, a waterpark we rarely stay more than 2 hours a go, sometimes just go into a park to do a couple of rides etc, we also like to do MK early in the trip and its tradition we go in on our last full day. Don't see the point in a 14 day ticket and being restricted when 21 day tickets are only a few £ more.

My thoughts exactly :)
Just MY view but Woodview that came across as pretty condescending :(

Out of curiousity, what's wrong with E-tickets?

I don't know if it's still an issue, but I had problems linking a will call Ultimate ticket purchased on the Disney website. I could link it only the day I left for the parks. I booked my FP+ while waiting the bus going to the airport.
I called tech assistance and they told me that Ultimate tickets are loaded into the ticketing system at WDW only one or two days before the arrival.

It was last September, so maybe they fixed this problem in the meantime.
