Not happy with my Disney Store. (not the usual complaint)

I got a post card in the mail for 15% off anything in the store. They are putting out their new stuff and are going to have a sale this weekend. However on the post card it said I could come in for a "sneak peek" before everyone else Thursday. So I went last night thinking I would get the things that would go quickly, those that I might not see if I waited until the weekend.

THEY DIDN'T HAVE ANY OF THEIR NEW STUFF OUT!

I commented to the CM and she said yeah, we are still thrying to get everything out. Some shelves were empty!

I know this is a small thing to get angry about, but they already have taken the stores downhill and you can't get very much adult stuff. It seems like they aren't even trying.

Not good. I had a similar problem at a clothing store here. I went in for the sneak peak at the No-Tax sale because I'm a member of their club. When I got there, I was told that to get no-tax I would have to come in tomorrow. BUT the coupon says...No you misunderstood...I was pissed

I can think that it's frustrating when you go to the Disney store to hand over a ton of cash and ...sorry this happened to you.

Yes, I went to our TDS on monday, and they only had their holiday line of plush out.

Clerk told me itd take another week to get the rest of the holiday merchanise on shelves.

It's annoying.

I haven't been into a Disney Store in at least a year, because all they carry now are cheap plastic toys. Their level of merchandise has gone so far downhill that I do not think they'll ever recover.

All they had out was their Christmas plush? Almost all they ever seem to have is plush and pink items! I miss the old Disney Store.

You may not like my response, but it's reality. The CM's at TDS have been working around the clock, to get the new merchandise out.

We had 3 floor moves in 3 days. We worked from Sunday from 6pm-2am, Monday 9pm-3am, and again on Tuesday from 9pm-2am.

We can only work so many miracles. It's not like it happens overnight. We have no control on what we sell or carry either.

I'm sorry, but I just have to defend my fellow CM's and TDS. We work really hard at our moves, but Disney is so particular on how they want things done, that it takes time. It's okay to be frustrated, but I really hope you didn't take it out on a poor CM that really has no control over when things are mailed out or finished. So my best advice to all the guests that come into our stores who want to complain about the lack of selection is to write to the appropriate people to get things done. Hey they did it with Early Entry, I don't see how this would be different. It's all about Supply and Demand.

I'll get off my soapbox now.

No CBRorBust, you did the right thing. I said I shouldn't get so worked up about this, but I think if you advertise for something you should be able to deliver. I know this is a very busy season and we are all only human. Sorry.

They should have let you go shopping in the stock room
