Hope this okay to post...... since it isnt about Disney properties.... but I was just thinking..... most hotels say only 4 per room.....

Are there any (chains) that allow 5 to a room or are we forever going to have to get two rooms whenever we travel????

Just wondering!

Thanks!

EDITED coz I was a bit too vauge.....

Opps I should be have clearer.... I meant elsewhere in the USA not just for WDW....... LOL Disney we have taken care of with wonderful 2 bedroom DVC villas.....

If you want to go off site, The Royal Plaza Hotel accomodates up to 5 persons and the Doubletree DD up to 6. There is also the Holiday Inn Family Suites which accomodates up to 6.

I was the youngest of three, and we never had a problem staying anywhere as a family. We'd usually just rent a cot for one of us (or if they were out/didn't have them we had one of our own we could bring if we drove) and we'd all share the room together.

Sorry about the confusion....... I am going to edit my first post to avoid more...........

There are only 4 of us, but my kids can't sleep together. We stay at the Comfort Suites every year, and while their rooms are not true suites, they sleep 6. They have 2 doubles and a sleeper sofa. They work well for us.

Laura, if I haven't said so already... Congratulations!

We have 3 children also and I was looking for a hotel (over night stop) for the drive from NJ to FL and I had a heck of a time finding a place that allowed more than 4 in a room. I did find one in Savannah but we won't get to check it out until June. I know there are some "suite" hotels in the Williamsburg area. I don't think I would feel comfortable splitting up the family into 2 rooms in some unfamiliar hotel along I95 (but that's just me, I tend to be nervous)
I guess we just have to plan ahead more than families of 4!;)

As another family of 5, I, too, have too plan ahead and do some research as to where we can stay.

I have always had luck with Marriotts (rooms are usually large and we can get a cot), and Amerisuites or any other suite type hotel.

That is why we bought DVC..........
