Not as Clean as You Think??

I, too, tried to hold my post....

I have seen lots of folks at WDW who surprise me because I forget that we have a big world out there and just because I live, work and play in New York and also think I am pretty smart, attractive and neat - doesn't mean that I expect the rest of WDW visitors to think, look and act as I do.

And What does it mean, Gonga, when you say people come from "different walks of life"?? Are you making a connection between weight, sweat, body hair, hygiene, tobacco use and body odors AND income levels in this country??????

Is our walk of life in New York helpful in our hygiene ractices??

It is hot in Florida. I have been there twice in August.

But I don't sweat. I "glow"! I am from NY and have a post-grad degree and use designer deodorant! :teeth:

The magic in my eyes at WDW is that I thought it was a park of great equality having fun and family time in Walt's Dreamtown. Some folks aren't even lucky to get there ONCE!

Your post is over the top, Gonga, sorry. Stay focused on yourself and the anxiety about your clothing and germs and the habits of the others from other walks of life, and I fear that the resulting stress will deprive you of sharing the pixiedust with your future generations!

This is probably my first post as a thread killer - but this is too much even for me. No support here.

Just happened to salvage from a trash pile several boxes of individually sealed alcohol soaked tissues like those they wipe on you before giving you a shot. Then found out they are not worth selling on eBay.

But here is a good use, get some at a drug store, carry around a few, and swab down the seat to sterilize it before sitting down.

I am not particularly fat and not particularly hirsute but at WDW I get awfully sweaty and often wear extremely skimpy tank tops with a very thin back part.

i agree with gonga about taking a subject and blowing out of proportion, because i had a thread on here that got blown out of hand too, and people on here tend to do that a lot, take the littlest thing said and turn it in to a fight. she was just saying that she thinks its gross, ect. and i agree, i only get grossed out though like on water rides, like splash mountain when you have to sit in a seat that is soaked with the water that was just on someone elses body, especially when its warm out and sweaty!

If that kind of thing grosses you out than I would just steer clear of those type of rides....... It would sure make the waiting times shorter for those of us who don't get grossed out.

GONGA!!
We do come from all walks of life and all sorts of weirdoes touch things at the parks. Not only that, they also sneeze, smear what they poke out of whatever hole in their body and fart where you sit. But like I said before, if people gross you out just carry dam Lysol with you

with those irrational worries!

I tried not to express my opinion here, but . . .

If I were standing in line, and the person in front of me was criticizing those around us, while a "person of large stature" was patiently waiting behind me, I'd take the company of that person any time.

Sweat or no sweat.

Actually, I'm with Gonga on this one. There are times when I admit I have been grossed out at Disney World. It seems that I am more grossed out when its hot than when its cold. When we went last May, there were many times when I would encounter a sweaty seat, etc. and I was grossed out. I deal with it.

I bet that most of us sweat when it's hot at WDW. Actually, a lot of people sweat here in Texas about 9 months of the year. ;) I guess that we're used to it.

Remember Planogirl a Lady does not sweat, she perspires. LOL

I think that line is from a movie. Does anyone know for sure?

Next time you're grossed out by a fat person, hairy person, person with a large mole, the person wearing tight clothing,or anyone else you don't approve of getting off a ride, simply let the people behind you go first. Problem solved.

Next time you see someone on a plane with an obvious cold, offer them a kleenex. Or ask a flight attendant to retrieve one for them. Again, problem solved.

Trust me. You'll feel a lot better about yourself when treating others with kindness.

My friends, this thread is so not helpful to planning a trip. In fact, I believe that I just got my feelings hurt :(

I'm going to close this now. If you wish to continue your discussion please post the topic to the community board.
