Not to bum you out, but DW hand makes all the christmas cards by hand now. she got into stamping and cuts and paste different things. so she now makes them all for the people we send them to!

I've gotten some like that in the past, but no more. Almost all are preprinted photo cards, nothing done by hand. Maybe next year I should have the kids make some for their school assignment. Two birds, one stone.

I did read Snap's card bashing thread but stayed far far away from it. Not only do I not send any cards, I give unwrapped cash gifts also. Even our 4 year old grandson got cash for xmas. I am the most unsentimental person walking the planet.

GP, does your wife have craft supplies? I do scrapbooking but I actually just prefer to purchase the stuff rather than use it. I have an entire room full of stuff, including the expensive Cricut machine that I don't like.

I think we're long lost sisters! I too have thousands of dollars worth of scrapbooking supplies that I'm going to use "someday". Most of these supplies have been used on school projects. I'm waiting for "someday" to come, when I have all the time in the world to do nothing my scrap. In the meantime, I try to steer clear of craft stores. I'm sure the adhesive on many of stickers probably isn't even very sticky anymore.

Oh, I don't shop, I give checks for Christmas. I guess that makes me a hypocrite? I really wish I could skip the holidays next year, too much stress!

Bacon and Christmas, they go hand in hand. A guy my DH knows had a bacon filled Christmas, lots of bacon gifts. The only two I can remember off the top of my head are baconnaise and bacon flavored popcorn. Apparently the bacon popcorn was not what he expected!

If it weren't for the asparagus, it would work for her. The only thing better to her would be a refried bean cake. For how big a princess she is, she's such a man. BTW, DON'T squeeze her. She can put a man to shame.

you name it shes got it.

lets see, she has made articulated teddybears, handpainted doll faces on cloth dolls, made handpainted christmas ornaments, handpainted scenes on wood lamp bases, makes quilts, knits sweaters, has several sewing machines, one is computer controlled to embroidery from any design she inputs, (yes I have pirate stuff on my jammies) has made fimo clay jewlery, has made a number of outfits that she has entered in national fashion contests, and now is into scrapbooking and is exchanging handmade postcards with people all over the world.

she took over a spare bedroom, and it is rather full of all kinds of artsy stuff that I would rather not know about!!
