Not another Nav. verandah question!!!

Hi All - taking our first cruise next month, and staying in a Nav. Verandah room.

Just wondering: Are there any lights out on the verandah? Or should I bring a booklight for reading out there?

Also, I know you can't smoke in the rooms, but can you on the verandahs?

I don't normally smoke, but thought that maybe I'd indulge in a cigar and a book under the stars on the verandah after my little boy has fallen asleep...

Hi there ~

There is a light out on the veranda. And I had planned the same late-night-book thing that you had... But honestly, the book never got opened. And the light never got turned on. I was so enthralled by the stars, and the sound of the water rushing by, and the utter peace of it all, I was content to just sit there. That's what I love so much about the Navigator's Veranda -- The way it's enclosed, you feel like your little compartment is just floating through the sky all by itself. There is no awareness of anyone or any other space around you -- just you in your cosy little space, with the starlit sky above you and the impossibly-blue-even-at-night water beneath you. Talk about magical!!

You've made a great decision.

Right on, Gina! I LOVE the <B><a href="http://www.primateprojections.com/travel/DCL/7628/">Navigator Verandah</A></B>! It's such a <I>nice</I> atmosphere compared to the regular verandahs. Both are great and it's a matter of personal preference, but IMHO the Nav. beats the Reg. any day.

Not sure if this is too late or not tsi but I just called today about the smoking on the nav verandah and the answer is yes. she actually put me on hold to go and ask. so good luck and enjoy that cigar
