I got the new kitten and took her to the vet while we were in Atlanta. She did blood work and found elevated liver enzymes. She said that you NEVER take elevated liver enzymes lightly. She did any x-ray and said everything looked normal. She is testing for Feline Leukemia tomorrow but since she came from a reputable breeder it seems very very rare that this would be the problem.
She said she didn't know how far I wanted to take the testing. I can't go through this again.....maybe I wasn't meant to have a kitten. I don't know, its just heartbreaking! Anyone have any clue???
The baby I got in Atlanta yesterday looks just like Isis. I did name him Isis as well because he looks and acts the same. He is younger than the little girl I'm talking about on top but is a hyperactive mess! He will go in tomorrow and have the same tests the little girl had, I'm praying everything is okay with him.
Anyway if anyone knows ANYTHING about elevated liver enzymes in kittens, it would be appreciated. It seems almost everything I found on the web talks about older cats and this baby girl was only born on February 18th.
