So my boys and I stood in line at the Aloha Isle, and after a very long wait to experience the Dole Whip.... they wanted the orange/vanilla ice cream swirl instead.

Is there any place else this is served at ANY of the parks?
I don't want to stand in the very long Dole Whip line if I can just get it at an more easily accessible location.. :thumbsup2

Im with your boys. I love the orange vanilla swirl way better than the pineapple.

They have dole whips at the poly resort.

Yah it's the orange swirl I'm looking for, NOT the Dole Whip.. LOL
I'll look over that snack credit list.

How do you guys have all these links just so handy dandy!! LOL

I went to Sunshine Tree Terrace not long after it was reopened, after reading good things here on the Dis, and I did not like their Citrus Twirl drink at all. I couldn't even finish it. However, I do like the Dole Whip orange/vanilla swirl - it's kind of like a creamsicle, whereas the STT version is like a slushie and perhaps a bit acidic. It's been a while, so my memory may be off on the exact taste, but it wasn't the same.

Just to be clear. At Sunshine Tree Terrace they serve the Citrus Swirl which is frozen orange juice and vanilla soft serve (like DQ's) swirled together.

At Aloha Isle they serve pineapple, orange and vanilla flavored Dole "Whip" Soft Serve either by themselves or swirled, or in various beverages, including pineapple juice, as a float.

At the Poly they have pineapple and vanilla Dole Soft Serve either by themselves or swirled but no floats.

All the soft serve at Aloha Isle and the Poly is Dole "Whip" or what Dole now calls Dole Soft Serve. So this is or isn't a Dole Whip Question depending on what you are looking for.;)

Also there are other places besides WDW that serve it. More and more frozen Yogurt (though its not frozen yogurt) type places are serving it. I had some pineapple at Kennywood Park last summer.

Note: Dole Soft Serve is lactose and for the pineapple, orange and all 5 fruit flavors dairy free so it should be OK for those with dairy allergies and vegans.

Oh my word! :faint: lol I didn't think this would be so complicated!

Ok I guess in my head when I hear "Dole Whip" I think people are getting a tall cup with vanilla ice cream and the pineapple stuff all around it (kinda like how a sundae would look). Which was what I was going to order. But when I got to my turn I was the Orange Swirl option and new the kids would like the orange to pineapple more. And sure enough, they LOVED it! So that's what we want again. LOL It was orange and vanilla soft serve ice cream swirled together. So by the sounds of it, what's offered at SST is slightly different. So looks like we might have to tackle the long line after all! :goodvibes

Oh, The things we do ;)

I guess perhaps I should ask where else I can get those huge ice cream/chocolate chip cookies. We had one at Epcot last year. Mint Choc with choc chip cookies. Are these at limited locations as well? :confused3

:rotfl2:

Part of the problem is that first people apply magical properties to The Dole Whip (trumpets playing, flags waving, etc :goodvibes) by saying its so very exclusive and only sold at WDW, DLR and the Dole Plantation (its not, never has) and its the best ice cream they ever had (its not ice cream but still good:thumbsup2)

Second a lot of people call just the Pineapple flavor The Dole Whip when there are 7 flavors marketed under that name and Disney sells 3 of those flavors. Also some call the Dole Whip float of pineapple Dole Whip in pineapple juice The Dole Whip.

Disney does not sell anything like a sundae there but in Hawaii at the plantation they sell Pineapple Dole Whip on pineapple chunks I guess like a sundae.

But if you are looking for orange soft serve (not juice) swirled with vanilla soft serve, Aloha Isle is the only place on property that I know of that sells anything like that.

You are on your own about the cookies, can't eat ice cream, hence the reason I like Dole Whip.

Yes, exactly this! LOL This explanation should be a sticky so people understand more!! :rotfl2:

Which I think is what I'm realizing! And great to know instead of aimlessly searching for it elsewhere! :thumbsup2

Oh man, I'm so sorry to hear that! The boys love to look at our photo of the ice cream sandwich cookie! LOL I even had the CM sprinkle it with the Mickey sprinkles. They were in heaven!

Thanks for all the info :)
P.S. - This is my 200th post! :cool1:
