nosey question... How much is Trash removal and recycling in your area?

We pay it quarterly and it's $300.00 for the year.

We pay $100.00 a yr. to have the trash removed, I heard that might be going up. I live south of Boston.

We pay $120 per year to our town. This includes weekly pickups with large items the first pickup of the month and once a week yard waste from April through October.

Hi Binny,
We pay $33 per month for twice a week pickup including recycles. This also includes most bulk item pickups. It's pretty close to your figure. In nearby Philadelphia, it's included in their taxes. With all the taxes we pay here in Bucks County, it should be included in ours as well!

We just had to get trash pickup and I think it is about $55 a quarter. DH was taking the trash to the landfill but he just traded in his truck on a sedan so we need trash removal now. We are outside of the town limits. Several different haulers come into the neighborhood each week.

We have no town tax here. Trash pickup is by private company, choose your own company. We pay $42 every other month for a large container for weekly pickup. There are three sizes avail. Our nieghbor has the small one and pays $22 every other month.

You are not kidding!! I live in the Poconos and our trash removal is not included in our property tax which BTW is high too, let's not talk about the school taxes , those are sky high! I pay $34 a month for garbage removal and it's limited to once a week for two 30 gallon trash cans and one can of recycables every two weeks but sometimes if we put out more the company I use won't charge me because at times I don't put out my maximum.
This is an average of $396 a year in an area where the average person does not make more than $12 an hour, that's why most people here work in NJ or NYC.
