"Norway? More like No Way!" Goobers' Jan 12 TR! Up.x2 4/6: FINAL THOUGHTS!

I'm so glad you enjoyed it!! How fun to meet Remy! I wish they had him at night too, I went back and forth for a long time about whether to do a dinner ADR (b/c Dallas would want the duck and they don't have it for lunch) or whether to do lunch with Remy. Since it's not guaranteed that he comes out, I chose dinner and we still really enjoyed it! Those pics of Matt with the Blue Steel are priceless! What fun!

I fell behind, but I'm all up to speed now. Love, love, love that gauntlet!! You guys must be so proud of yourselves. Well done (imagine a virtual pat on the back right now).
That ring is nice...Ferb wanted to surprise me with this when we were there alone in Oct, but I'm not really a jewelry person. But that ring gives me an idea...hmmmmm;)
Anyways, glad you got exactly what you wanted!:thumbsup2

Loved your lunch at Chef's...Remy looked so cute, but I think I really like the waiter with him the most!

So, about this epic fail....I must remind you how much we all really love cliffhangers..:lmao:
Can't wait to read more!!

I love the pearl ring!!!

Both kids have done pick-a-pearl but I never have... But have no fear, it's now on my list of things to do the next time we go down... Along with doing the parks at night... The more I read your TR, the longer my list gets...

And lunch at Le Chef to see Remy might just have to be added to that list too... The food looks amazing... And Remy is just stinking cute!!!

so does Remy actually talk? is it controlled by the waiter with him or someone else? that mac and cheese looks great!

He "talks" in that he squeaks at you. Remember in Ratatouille most humans can't really talk to Remy; all they hear from him are squeaks vs. him talking. And he's controlled by no one. He's an animatronic so he just moves back and forth, I'm guessing under the table there is a big electronic box type thing. It's remarkably impressive because they did SUCH a good job with him!

Sooooooooooooooooo I've been lurking for quite a while and decided to stop being a lurker and actually join in! :cool1: Loving every bit of your trip report! :thumbsup2 And your ring looks absolutely GORGEOUS! I've read a ton of trip reports where people have done the pick a pearl thing and they always seem to love it. I might have to do it the next time I visit the World!

Well hello! I'm glad you decided to comment! Lurkers are welcome of course, but I just LOVE hearing from people, too! :goodvibes So glad you are liking my TR! And thank you, I really love my ring. You should totally do it. It's a fun experience and you end up with such pretty jewelry!! Thanks for popping in and saying hello!!

Ok last night I got exhausted and completely forgot some things I wanted to comment on because I got so excited by the food. 1- I'm a fellow LOST fanatic, which is why I got started on this TR in the first place. 2- I have now made a list of different foods I HAVE to try now thanks. 3- I don't even remember what else I had to say but 4- OMG REMY!!!!!!!!!!!! Seriously the reason I joined the DIS is because after reading some of the TR I realized how much I have been missing being a local and sticking to what I like. THANKYOU THANKYOU THANKYOU for pointing out that Remy experience... :rotfl:

Oh and my dog totally did what you described as I laughed out loud every time. his head may just get stuck tilted to the side!

YES I AM SO EXCITED FOR ANOTHER LOST FAN!! I loooove that show so much. Just wait til I get to the part where LOST actually plays a minor part in my TR!! I can't wait to share it, haha.

Glad you are making a list, because seriously there are SO many good snacks to try! I think I ate everything I'd had on my list by the end of our trip!!

Remy was AMAZING. I don't think a lot of people know about it, and I never would have if I hadn't joined the DIS. I am so glad I found out about it and planned our ADR for it because it was so amazing to see Matt's face light up, as he adores Remy. It'd be like me meeting Wall-E. I'd just melt. :cloud9:

That is so funny about your dog. Our dogs do the SAME thing and it cracks me up!!

Thanks for posting the ring photo. Loveit! :)

Great review of Le Chef. We had lunch there in 2009 I think and I really enjoyed it but DH wasn't overly thrilled. Since this is MY birthday trip he is just going with whateVER I choose and this is my actual birthday day lunch plan. I have recently acquired a taste for French onion soup, weird since I have always despised onions. Hopefully this place will deliver on that for me. :rotfl:
Of course! I have more of it on my finger later on in the TR, so I'll share those then, too. :) I'm excited this is your birthday day lunch! You are going to have so much fun. Hopefully your husband enjoys it more this time! French onion soup is so tasty! Matt loved it at Chefs!

Okay, I ended up being a little bit behind.

Okay, congratulations on completing the Disney Gauntlet! You made the right call taking it easy the next day. Man, that's some craziness right there! You accomplished so much. I bow to you! :worship:

Haha thank you! It was intense but worth it. We did accomplish a lot and I'm proud that we did it!

I love Chefs de France and the Blue Steel is awesome! You're right, who doesn't love Zoolander? "It's the Zoolander school for people who can't read good".

HAHAHA I just so hard at your quote. Why is that movie so ridiculously funny? "Cough.. cough.. I think I'm getting the Black Lung, Pop."

I love Remy. The last time we went, I thought I was filming him....fail...nope I wasn't. Der! :rolleyes1

Remy is the best! I wish I took video of him. Next time I'll have to because it's just so cute!! That is unfortunate that you didn't film him, I hate when that happens, haha. So many times Matt went to take my photo and instead filmed me on my iPhone. :rotfl:

I'm so glad you enjoyed it!! How fun to meet Remy! I wish they had him at night too, I went back and forth for a long time about whether to do a dinner ADR (b/c Dallas would want the duck and they don't have it for lunch) or whether to do lunch with Remy. Since it's not guaranteed that he comes out, I chose dinner and we still really enjoyed it! Those pics of Matt with the Blue Steel are priceless! What fun!

It was a blast! He comes out at night but I think at like 5:20? I can't remember, but I know it's earlier than later. Definitely smart to do it later especially wanting to have certain food, since he could just not come out at all! Armand was so funny. I wish I had a photo of both of them doing the Blue Steel.

YAY glad you're caught up! I know I update a lot so it's easy to fall behind, haha. We were proud of ourselves! It was intense but a lot of fun. The ring is beautiful and is one of my favorite pieces of jewelry! Plus the experience is a BLAST.

Loved your lunch at Chef's...Remy looked so cute, but I think I really like the waiter with him the most!

Armand the waiter made the experience that much funnier. He was hilarious!!

So, about this epic fail....I must remind you how much we all really love cliffhangers..:lmao:
Can't wait to read more!!

Haha well it's not THAT epic but just something dumb on my part because I was not feeling well at all.

I love the pearl ring!!!

Me too! It's so pretty. :goodvibes

Both kids have done pick-a-pearl but I never have... But have no fear, it's now on my list of things to do the next time we go down... Along with doing the parks at night... The more I read your TR, the longer my list gets...

YAY! You should do it and treat yourself! I'm laughing at how the list is growing... but TRs are so good for that!!

And lunch at Le Chef to see Remy might just have to be added to that list too... The food looks amazing... And Remy is just stinking cute!!!

You should seriously add it. I just LOVED that experience as a whole. The food was excellent, our waiter was wonderful, and Remy was just too cute for words! :cutie:

Chapter Twenty-Five: A Tour of the Woooorld...
Day 6: January 23rd, 2012

After an excellent lunch, we decided to continue strolling around WS, checking out the countries and picking up something for our friends along the way... We stopped by Japan and got my ring, which looked beautiful!

But after that, I was in a major fog. Between the ridiculously hot sun and me not feeling well at all, I just felt awful and basically didn't take many photos. This was my epic fail because hi, a TR is a bit boring without lots of fun photos!

I got a few here and there, but nothing of the stuff we bought, which makes me really sad because we got our friends some awesome stuff and gave it to them before I got a chance to take photos at home. I'm lame, I know.

We finally made it to China, and of course I decided to take a photo of a lizard. He was cute, I couldn't help it.

edf2ac38.jpg

We also explored the stave church in Norway, which was pretty neat actually...

1ed26c8b.jpg

Theeeen continued on our journey. By this point I was pretty sure I was melting, but we were still just happy to be walking around the World Showcase together and had a good time with it..

97882eb8.jpg

6ea6cbdb.jpg

We said hello to MORE WS ducks, who were just hanging out and being hobos together...

d2a5a5d6.jpg

Then made our way to Canada, where the CM working in the little shop got REALLY excited that we were from Seattle... She was from Vancouver, which is not very far from us, so it was pretty hysterical how happy she was about us being from the Pacific Northwest.

77b80e9f.jpg

cf06b4da.jpg

We then went to England, enjoying the chalk art along the way..

a54a5092.jpg

And of COURSE I had to take the obligatory phone booth shot..

7c2f4791.jpg

Why am I such a creep? OMG, can't believe I forgot this. Throughout our trip, anytime we walked past England, I would call the phone booths if there were people nearby them, just to see what would happen. I'm pretty sure the first time some guy picked up and when I talked to him he screamed like a girl and hung up the phone... It was so funny because he was just yapping away to his friends about this person being on the phone, and I'm just standing nearby... But it was such an odd reaction!

Another time I got some lady who didn't speak English so that was awkward. Most of the time I just pretended I was British, said my name was Pippen and asked people how their trip was going. It was pretty hysterical to do it while watching these people get confused.. Hahahaha.

Oh, and I wasn't going to include this photo but just noticed the outfit on the lady in the bottom left.. What the heck?!

6d4437f9.jpg

Haha anyway, we finally completed WS, getting a gift at every country for our friends. If I remember correctly, we got them:

France: A cute magnet
Morocco: A fun wooden recorder/flute
Japan: Japanese candy
American Experience (or whatever it's called): A Mickey head pin with the U.S. flag background
Italy: An Italy shot glass
Germany: A mini stein
Norway: A Norway Mickey ears antenna topper and a I <3 Norway sticker
China: A fun drum thing
Mexico: A pen in the shape of a chili pepper
Canada: A bar of Sasquatch soap, hahaha
England: A box of Twinings tea!

I'm still mad that I got ZERO photos of this because it was a lot of fun doing it, but I just felt so awful and wanted to get through WS before I melted.

Anyway, we headed off for our next destination!

Chapter Twenty-Six: "MATT! Why did you sticker me?!"
Day 6: January 23rd, 2012

After we left Epcot, we decided to catch a boat for Hollywood Studios.

6c467010.jpg

This time we got STICKERS on our trip!

29aba667.jpg

We got to HS (not gonna lie, I enjoyed our boat ride over because of how crappy I was feeling plus it is always relaxing), and made our way over the visit The Muppets! We stopped at a little place outside of the Indiana Jones show, and Matt played with the guns, because isn't that what all boys do?

7fb987ee.jpg

Haha no, he explained to me how he had one when he was a little kid and how much fun he had with it..

We finally got to The Muppets area..

6a6e0566.jpg

cdb46897.jpg

8dbaedf6.jpg

And I caught this GEM of a photo... This made me laugh so hard when I saw it, because the lady in her scooter totally looks like she crashed and spilled paint all over EVERYTHING, and is now sitting there in horror. HAHAHAHA. Really I think she was just sitting there daydreaming or something, but it provided a hysterical photo for me to laugh at later.

Anyway, we looked around the store and it was a disappointment. :( We were expecting way more stuff, especially with the new movie being released not that long ago.. We did spot a few fun things..

1a583cef.jpg

Matt thought about buying this hoodie, but didn't really love the design..

765fbd8b.jpg

Soooo we left empty-handed and a little sad. But of course, I told Matt we needed to go see Muppet Vision 3D, as that would cheer ANYONE up, and he agreed, so we headed on in for a lovely show with our favorite friends.

After laughing at The Muppets (I love how the end-scene is SO from like, the 90s and the guests outfits are so outdated! Gets me every time!), we strolled along and I got this super believable photo!

def78e8d.jpg

We noticed wait times for Star Tours were poopy, so we decided to head out of the park... On our way out, we stopped at a store to look around, and I thought Matt looked quite cute in this..

34428922.jpg

We put the apron on our list of things we might get later, then went and caught a bus to Old Key West.

4e33973f.jpg

It was then that I realized that my totally loving husband had put a sticker on my back because he is a trickster, so I was walking around with this on my back...

d3a4aecf.jpg

Look at that face, he knows what he did! Hahahaha.

Next up, saying hello to one of our favorite resorts, some tasty treats and the end of our more laidback day!

Hiii!!! Well I love your ring to start with, its very pretty, my pearl is still sitting upstairs in my drawer in the bag that it came in, my plan is to do it everytime I go to disney, and then figure out something to do with the pearls later on in life...god willing, thats what I will do!!!.... Your mac and Cheese looks delish.. I smiled through that entire post because it seemed like you guys had some much fun, I am excited to see what you buy from each country!!! :cool1: That was one place I wish we would have eaten that and via napoli , we pretty much covered the rest of the places...except Kona and Boma, I guess those are 2 more I wish we would have dined at...Ohwell always next year ;)

Boo to not getting pictures of all the fun stuff you bought your friends, I am editing my previous post now ,because I was typing it while you were updating and hit enter too soon...I can relate to the melting,I remember our long non stop in the park Disney day by 4 P.M I was ready to just lay down and die, right there...the heat at the end of May was no joke... I am glad you got on the boat and I sure hope it was breezy, because that breeze always feels amazing...I love the mickey mouse Kitchen stuff, and I really want that apron!! How fun, i hope you bought it later it did really look nice on him :) :)

Sorry you were not feeling well but glad you still managed to make the best of it. Too funny about the sticker on your back! :lmao:

Loved the photos of the World Showcase area. I really hope to spend a lot more time there myself for this trip! :) I think I just want more time this trip to sit around and people watch...and maybe I will have to get the numbers to the phone booths to call them as well. That sounded HILARIOUS! :lmao:

Ok, first of all--I don't think of you and Matt as goobers at all!! I think you are totally fun, and I seriously would love to hang out with y'all!! I'd prolly pee my pants from laughter!

Just thinking about you calling up the people on the phones in England has me hysterical! And then you adding the accent just tops it off...too funny!!

Oh yeah...I meant to ask--what app do you use for wait times, and did you find that it was pretty accurate? We're going in May and I think having one would be very convenient!

Again, sorry you didn't feel well. Disney and sickness do not mix well.

I won't lie, that viking is frightening me a bit. But it looked like such a beautiful day! Thankfully, I'm used to the super hot humid ick-ness living in Virginia, so it doesn't bother me very much.

That chalk drawing is amazing! Oh my goodness. I can't believe someone drew that in chalk, like really. PROPS, random chalk drawer!

Hahahah I love that you called the phone booths... and you call yourself Pippen hahaha! I need to do that (well, not the Pippen part)! I have the phone numbers but never use them. NEW HOBBY ALERT!

Whatever, I love that lady's outfit. Classy in all the right ways... :confused3

Hahahah you're right! It does look like the scooter lady feels bad for spilling the paint. That's too perfect.

Hiii!!! Well I love your ring to start with, its very pretty, my pearl is still sitting upstairs in my drawer in the bag that it came in, my plan is to do it everytime I go to disney, and then figure out something to do with the pearls later on in life...god willing, thats what I will do!!!.... HI! :) Thank you very much! You should bring yours in! Though there's so many other options outside of Disney when it comes to necklaces. At least there's no rush!

The mac 'n cheese was SO good. I love mac 'n cheese! We really had a blast with the whole thing and there's just no way you can't smile tons when Remy is talking away! :goodvibes

I'm terrible and didn't take any photos of the things we bought our friends. I was not feeling well and just.. forgot. :( Sadface. I did make a list of everything we bought! Haha. (My latest update is actually JUST before your post, weird!) Always next year, for sure. I still want to try Ohana and Kona and Boma.. OH SO MANY PLACES!

How fun, i hope you bought it later it did really look nice on him :) :)

Hahaha, my response above was BEFORE you made your edits! How funny. Ugh yes, it was just so hot that one day for some reason and yeah. I could NOT handle the summer or May or September. Nope. I WOULD probably melt. The boat was wonderful! I know, that apron is so cute. Matt looks funny because he had shorts on! You'll get to see whether or not we bought it. ;)

Sorry you were not feeling well but glad you still managed to make the best of it. Too funny about the sticker on your back! :lmao:

Yeah we still had fun! I pepped up after we got done with WS and had some time to sit on the boat. Matt is such a butt sometimes, I can't believe he let me walk around with a sticker on my back! :rotfl:

Loved the photos of the World Showcase area. I really hope to spend a lot more time there myself for this trip! :) I think I just want more time this trip to sit around and people watch...and maybe I will have to get the numbers to the phone booths to call them as well. That sounded HILARIOUS! :lmao:

I wish I'd gotten more! If I'd felt better there would be a lot more of us having fun at each pavilion. I really love spending time at WS, and staying at BC encouraged us to spend more time there. And yes! Let me know if you want the numbers! It was HILARIOUS calling people. :rotfl:

Ok, first of all--I don't think of you and Matt as goobers at all!! I think you are totally fun, and I seriously would love to hang out with y'all!! I'd prolly pee my pants from laughter!

Haha we are SUCH goobers! I see goobers as meaning total goofballs.. which we are! We just love laughing and having fun together. :goodvibes I'm glad you find us so funny, because I am known to go into massive laughing fits around that man. :rotfl:

Just thinking about you calling up the people on the phones in England has me hysterical! And then you adding the accent just tops it off...too funny!!

OMG it was SO funny. "'ALLO! What's your name"... "Well, my name is PIPPEN!" I just had way too much fun with it.

Oh yeah...I meant to ask--what app do you use for wait times, and did you find that it was pretty accurate? We're going in May and I think having one would be very convenient!

Okay so! I used Lines, which is through touringplans.com. It's really great because it also gives you show times and it was literally what made us realize there was a MSEP on a night that there wasn't going to be one originally (our first night). However that costs money, so my next suggestion is the free one called WDW Waits. That was pretty good and we also used it on our honeymoon. I found that sometimes more accurate than Lines! Hope that helps. :)

I was disappointed w the selection of muppets merchandize too.

Yeah what a bummer! I totally expected them to have a lot more and they really didn't. :sad2: Come on Disney, show some Muppets love!!

Again, sorry you didn't feel well. Disney and sickness do not mix well.

No, they really doooo not. But it's okay, I was just happy to be there in general and once we got on the boat to HS I felt a lot better.

I won't lie, that viking is frightening me a bit. But it looked like such a beautiful day! Thankfully, I'm used to the super hot humid ick-ness living in Virginia, so it doesn't bother me very much.

Hahahaha he WAS intimidating. It was a beautiful day, but I just think being sick and having no escape from the hot sun (I think that was the hottest day we experienced while there), it felt terrible. And yes, I am NOT used to humidity! When I lived in Boston we dealt with it a lot in the summer, but I haven't lived there in almost 7 years, and Seattle is pretty dry, aside from when it rains. Humidity is NOT my friend.

That chalk drawing is amazing! Oh my goodness. I can't believe someone drew that in chalk, like really. PROPS, random chalk drawer!

There were always amazing chalk drawings in that area! I was so impressed! :thumbsup2

Hahahah I love that you called the phone booths... and you call yourself Pippen hahaha! I need to do that (well, not the Pippen part)! I have the phone numbers but never use them. NEW HOBBY ALERT!

OMG it's so so funny. Like hiding over near the Rose and Crown and watching people's reactions. I don't even know why I said Pippen.. It just sounded RIGHT at that moment! Hahahaha.. You should totally do it because it's so funny. Matt thought I was crazy at first but then started encouraging me to call it when we walked through England. :lmao:

Whatever, I love that lady's outfit. Classy in all the right ways... :confused3

Hahaha, she was looking HOT!

Hahahah you're right! It does look like the scooter lady feels bad for spilling the paint. That's too perfect.

That photo still makes me laugh so hard for some reason. It just looks perfect that she totally spilled paint every where while driving her scooter!

I love the Muppets, but seriously, you're so right. The store is kind of disappointing. I wish there was more stuff in there. There is so much potential and so many different things they could have.

I love the chalk drawing! I've never seen that at Disney!!!

And OMG! I LOVE the paint splatter picture. It literally made me lol! She really does look like she is sitting there in horror...

HAHAHA this would be AMAZING! Can we please do this?! I laughed out loud when I read this just because I could picture it hahaha.
This is one of the better ideas I've had on how to get back to WDW soon. :lmao:
I KNOOOOW well now we know! We should've just done it and Matt would've been like, "WOW, you guys became friends in real life so quickly!!!" Why are we so awesome?!
We are awesome, aren't we? ;)
Heck to the yes, me too. It was just so much fun and I'm so glad it happened!
Me too!

Your ring is really pretty, I love it! You two are so sweet getting gifts for your BFFs.

I am so excited to read about this meal! I remember talking about it the night before. :) Lobster bisque looks really good. I love lobster and crab soups. You picked the same entree I would have! Armand sounds hilarious! I love the Blue Steel pics of him and Matt, Zoolander is a favorite for me too. OMG REMY IS SO FREAKING ADORABLE! I want to steal him and take him home as my own little chef. What an awesome experience! I'm regretting not having lunch there now. I had an ADR booked for my mom and me, but we cancelled it because we weren't positive it'd work out for us to break away from the group for that long.

That stinks that you weren't feeling good in the WS.

I am guilty of lizard pics too. They were just so darn cute!

That seagull so wants to be a hobo duck. Psshh, he wishes we loved him like we love hobo ducks.

Yay for happy Canada CM! I am loving your phone booth picture! You look thrilled to be there. I love that you called people while they were in it! I have called from here before and asked how Epcot was that day. What cute gifts for Bruce and Amy! (I'm 98% sure those are the correct names..)

Oh my gosh, I am SOOOO jealous that you got watercraft stickers! I saw a few stuck random places and I wanted one so badly! I think they are so cute.

YAY MUPPET TIME! :woohoo: I love that random lady pic, it does look like she's shocked at the mess she made, haha. I was so disappointed at the Muppet store too. They used to have more Muppet merch in there back when the Muppets were regarded as kind of outdated and not popular. I have the cutest Kermit that I got there around 2003. I love the end scene in MuppetVision too! It's hilarious.

I really hope you ended up getting that apron! Woohoo for OKW time!! I wish I could've seen you guys there. We definitely had the Mickey head stickers on everything because Riley is a sticker magnet and the CMs would give her like 10 or 15 at a time, haha. I may have done the same thing to Anna. :)

I never knew the phone booths actually worked! Totally have to steal your idea and call them! Are the numbers on the phones?

WOW! I found you this morning on Fantasyland Mom's TR and have spent the day enjoying yours from start to current! Thanks for adding the link at the bottom so we can just keep on keepin' on! I LOVE all of the photos and your wit. Can't wait to see what OKW has to offer. . .

LOVE the idea you had for getting something for your friends in each country! I may have to steal that...thanks for all letting me steal all your ideas!

How funny about the phone booth! I told Rey and the kids that people on the DIS call them, but then I had forgotten to bring along the number! DUH!

We didn't go in the muppets store, I guess I'm glad now b/c I would have been disappointed as well! We love the muppets, Rey is a big Animal fan! :thumbsup2

I love the Muppets, but seriously, you're so right. The store is kind of disappointing. I wish there was more stuff in there. There is so much potential and so many different things they could have.

I know and this was probably our more disappointing shopping experience. Just SUCH a serious lack of Muppet stuff in the MUPPET store. That's what I don't like or get. I think we found more Muppet stuff in Once Upon a Toy. :headache:

I love the chalk drawing! I've never seen that at Disney!!!

Over in England we saw a LOT of different ones each day! They really are cool.

And OMG! I LOVE the paint splatter picture. It literally made me lol! She really does look like she is sitting there in horror...

Haha I'm still laughing at it every time I look at it. Like it just CRACKS me up!

This is one of the better ideas I've had on how to get back to WDW soon. :lmao:We are awesome, aren't we? ;)Me too!

Haha we are awesome. And you are an awesome friend! Thanks for letting me vent last night while I was annoyed, haha. I think everything will work out, I'm just frustrated with how we're treated and the amount of time and research we put into something like that. Especially when they approached us about the situation in the first place. :confused3 ANYWAY, thanks again. :goodvibes

Your ring is really pretty, I love it! You two are so sweet getting gifts for your BFFs.

Thanks! And yeah, they ended up loving the idea as a whole!

No seriously I wanted to put Remy into my pocket and run out. He was so stinkin' cute with his little squeaks and looking at both of us as he chatted away. Maybe next time you guys can try to go!!

That stinks that you weren't feeling good in the WS.

Yup, especially in the sun, hahaha.

I am guilty of lizard pics too. They were just so darn cute!

We just like the little lizards there! What's not to like?

That seagull so wants to be a hobo duck. Psshh, he wishes we loved him like we love hobo ducks.

Maybe if the seagulls weren't such jerks and didn't swoop in and attack, then maybe they cold be part of the hobo gang! Until they learn to be nice they're not allowed.

Yay for happy Canada CM! I am loving your phone booth picture! You look thrilled to be there. I love that you called people while they were in it! I have called from here before and asked how Epcot was that day. What cute gifts for Bruce and Amy! (I'm 98% sure those are the correct names..)

Haha she was so excited and it was funny. I was very excited to be hangin' out in a phone booth! And I had WAY too much fun calling people and freaking them out. I was laughing so hard. You are right on with the names! They really loved them!

Oh my gosh, I am SOOOO jealous that you got watercraft stickers! I saw a few stuck random places and I wanted one so badly! I think they are so cute.

Hahaha it was random and funny. We got more later in HS, but I think they ran through the laundry at one point. Sad face. :(

Haha yeah it just kills me with that lady! EPIC FAIL on Muppet merch. I wish there was more! There is so much they could do and instead, nope. It stinks. And yes, that end scene just cracks me up with like the man-tube socks.

I know, that apron is so adorable! Yay for OKW! That would've been awesome if we ran into you! I love that Riley got so many stickers. And hahaha you did NOT sticker Anna! You and Matt are mean!

I never knew the phone booths actually worked! Totally have to steal your idea and call them! Are the numbers on the phones?

Yes they do!! You should totally call them, it's hilarious seeing people's reactions from afar! The numbers I'm not sure are on the phones. I got them online somewhere. Okay so you know how there are the two booths and then a phone in the middle? Those are the ones I have the numbers for. I put them on my iPhone before the trip. The numbers are:

Left Booth: 407-827-9863
Center Booth: 407-827-9862
Right Booth: 407-827-9861

WOW! I found you this morning on Fantasyland Mom's TR and have spent the day enjoying yours from start to current! Thanks for adding the link at the bottom so we can just keep on keepin' on! I LOVE all of the photos and your wit. Can't wait to see what OKW has to offer. . .

YAY Welcome! So happy you popped in here and read my TR. :goodvibes I LOVE when I stumble upon a new TR and there are the links at the bottom so I can just cruise through it. It turns it into like, a little book, so I definitely made sure to do the same for others! Thank you for all the nice compliments!

LOVE the idea you had for getting something for your friends in each country! I may have to steal that...thanks for all letting me steal all your ideas!

It was a really fun way to do World Showcase! You can totally steal that idea, I don't mind! Hahaha.

How funny about the phone booth! I told Rey and the kids that people on the DIS call them, but then I had forgotten to bring along the number! DUH!

OMG it's so funny. I just programmed them into my phone and got a kick out of calling!

We didn't go in the muppets store, I guess I'm glad now b/c I would have been disappointed as well! We love the muppets, Rey is a big Animal fan! :thumbsup2

Ugh it was really disappointing. So don't even worry about it. Matt loves Animal, too! ;)

Chapter Twenty-Seven: Hello Old Key West.. aaaand goodbye Old Key West!
Day 6: January 23rd, 2012

We pulled up to OKW, and went right on past the Hospitality House. Ummm okay, when we stayed at OKW last year the bus always stopped there first before going through the resort. LAME. We hopped off at the next stop, which fortunately wasn't too far away and saw a boat for DTD getting ready to leave! AHHH so we booked it, even though we were both in pain and I felt yucky..

Aaaaand we just made it. This kind of made us sad since we wanted to spend a little more time hanging out at OKW before we caught the boat, but we also didn't want to have to wait THAT long, so we just went on this one instead. More of a hello, goodbye to a longtime friend.. (This is where Matt stayed growing up every yer that he went with his family).

The boat to DTD was really nice. I love that boat ride, as you get a nice breeze, especially when it's hot out.

After we arrived, we headed to Art of Disney but left because they didn't have what we were looking for, which was a Gallery of Light box of Splash Mountain. We then decided to go get dinner at our new favorite, Earl of Sandwich! Yum! This time it was not nearly as busy as our first time, and I ordered the Earl's Club and Matt ordered the Original (which is roast beef and cheese and I think a horseradish sauce?)

We enjoyed our food immensely, packed up our desserts for later, then headed out for the Christmas store! It's tradition we buy an ornament during our trip, so we looked around for awhile and then came across the perfect ornament... Wall-E and Eve!! We already have a Wall-E ornament from Hallmark but this is a new one so we were both very excited.

Of course, we suddenly heard Ghirardelli calling our names (funny how that works, isn't it?).. As we walked over, we popped into Once Upon a Toy, then walked out without buying anything.

As we made our way down the walkway, Matt turned and said, "Umm I'm pretty sure Rachel (okw19) just ran into Once Upon a Toy." I turned and saw a girl who looked like her but I was like, "Nahh, that probably wasn't her." I was also thinking it'd be really awkward to run up to her and have it NOT be her, so we continued walking to Ghirardelli.

I texted her later and sure enough, it WAS Rachel! I was so mad at myself for not running back at that point, hahaha. This wouldn't be the last time we sort of ran into each other though! ;)

Anyway, Ghirardelli was much less busy this time, so we didn't have to wait in line... I ordered the same Cookie Bottom sundae, but with the hot fudge this time, while Matt ordered the Mint Bliss.

We sat outside and shortly thereafter our sundaes were brought to us.. YUM!

I must've forgotten to get a photo of Matt's, but he was very happy with his.

We enjoyed our sundaes as the sun was setting, then finally headed over to World of Disney to look around for Matt.

We didn't find anything unfortunately, so we left empty-handed. Matt had wanted a new sweatshirt since his one from our honeymoon is WAY too huge to wear now (Yay but boo!), but there just wasn't anything that he really loved. We headed over and caught a bus waiting at the stop and went back to Beach Club.

We decided to go swimming since we were both hot, but it ended up being way colder than we expected, so we switched over to the hot tub for awhile, then came back to the room and took showers. We relaxed for the night, and decided to change our ADR for Wednesday (today was Monday). We originally were going to the Yachtsman, but both decided we were just not really in the mood for steak, so we canceled that and made an ADR for Cape May. We'd both loved our dinner so much we really wanted to go back again, and then because we had a leftover TS credit now, we made another ADR for Cape May.. but for breakfast on Friday! We'd heard good things about the breakfast there, plus we thought it'd be fun to meet Goofy, Minnie and Donald, and it was so close to our room it just made sense!

Once we had that squared away, we hung out and watched TV. I ended up eating my brownie from EoS from earlier, which was very good, while we watched TV in bed.

We called it pretty early, as I really wanted to try to shake my cold. I'd been taking a TON of Emergen-C, along with cold medicine and Advil, but figured sleep would also be helpful. We also had an early ADR in the morning that we needed to be up for, an 8:35 reservation at the Crystal Palace! :) We were especially excited about this because it meant we'd be in the park before it opened...

Of course, this was when our luck with buses decided to temporarily run out, but we'll get to that in my next update. ;)
