Norway Akershus restaurant question

Hi

I am still a bit confused about the changes at this restaurant. Are all breakfast, lunch and dinner meals now solely character meals with princesses?

Are there no lunch/dinners there anymore you can go to for just a normal buffet meal (like we did last year)? You have to see the princesses and pay the more expensive prices all the time?

Also, is the German restaurant at Epcot a buffet that you go up to and serve yourself, or do they bring family-style platters to your table instead? I am a vegetarian so the walk-up buffet would be better for me.

Yes, all the meals at Akershus are now Princess meals, this started sometime within the last year. AND yes, the meal at the Biergarten in Germany is a buffet that you go up and serve yourself. It's not one our best meals at WDW, but DH likes it allot, and considering the cute polka band, I would not hesitate in going again if someone in my party wanted to.

What a shame that this has gone all princes meals. Seems they forget that everyone doesnt have small children or would want a princes meal. Used to be a nice different place to eat with different foods to try. Now one less experience to have and maybe one more counter meal.
