I have enough frequent flyer miles with Northwest for me to get to Orlando, but my husband does not. I've never actually redeemed Frequent Flyer miles so that opens up a whole range of questions as it is.
But my real question at this point is can I expect Northwest to lower their fares between now and our trip? I'm sure it seems strange that I have all these miles yet I'm fairly unfamiliar with the airline, but that's what happens when the only flying I ever did on NW was a couple trips from Boston to Ohio and then one big trip from Boston to Germany by way of Detroit - a trip which was booked by my sister.
Right now, if I were to use my miles, buying a ticket for my husband would cost over $700. That's pretty ridiculous to me since I could buy tickets for both of us for at least $100 less than that. Does anyone know if Northwest rates will get better?
I may just wait for Southwest anyway and save our NW miles to visit family, but I'd like to get the best deal to Orlando.
