Nice day here in Cheyenne! Looking forward to getting dogs out for a walk today - yesterday was very nice also! This weather really spoils one, it makes the colder weather sure to come so much worse!

Gydell, thanks so much for the CD. I am still going through it. But it is full of great information. I will need to watch it a second time and take notes. I just bought Rick Steves' book on Scandinavia. It has all the ports except the one in Germany. I will be reading it on our cruise in May.

Dear Lisa,
Many thanks for your e-mail and interest in the County Hall Park Plaza.
Unfortunately our rates are not confirmed yet by our revenue manager for 2010. But we have got very nice family rooms: studio rooms, junior suites where we can accommodate up to 2 adults and 2 children in the living room on the double sofa bed. (please see pictures)
Please could you be so kind and contact us later on to find out tariffs over the period requested 09/06 – 12/06/2010.
Should you have any further questions or queries, or if I can help in any way, please do not hesitate to contact me. Marta

I was hoping to go ahead and confirm our rooms but it looks like I will not be able to do that at this time.

Maybe they are getting to many requests. I have a confirmation letter with the dates in 2010 on it. The Sumner Hotel and Days Inn Hyde Park are also taking ressies for June 2010. The Sumner gave me a quote of 180 GBP for 2 adults and 1 child and the Days Inn gave us a price of 115 GBP including breakfast and all taxes. Hope this helps.

Hey, Eva! How are you feeling, my dear???

My ears are ringing a little as I saw the Killers last night!!! AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!

I'm feeling pretty good. Thanks so much for asking! I did finally decide to go on hormone replacement therapy. I was trying to go without. But I found myself crying because I didn't have saltine crackers for my soup the other day and the night sweats are getting tiresome. I hope it helps! I go back to work half days on Thursday. I've been walking on my treadmill and doing light exercises with no problems. The doctor says I can resume pretty much anything I want to in a couple more weeks.

I must be out of the loop. Who are the Killers?

I am so totally jealous!!!!! I bet they were awesome. The closest I'll probably ever get to seeing them is on SNL. No good groups ever come to Huntsville, you always have to go to either B'ham, Nashville or Atlanta.

We too stayed at the Renaissance and it was very nice, however it seemed they were quite overwhelmed with all the cruise passengers when we showed up as we waited three hours for our room. I would put up pictures but I don't think I can yet.

I think if I were to go into Barcelona again I would stay closer to the port because there is so much to see and we didn't have any time. At least we managed to squeeze in La Sagrada and Las Ramblas.

We stayed at the Hotel Rey Juan Carlos and although not the cheapest was very good.

Really exciting hearing you guys making more plans for next year Things looking a bit wobbly for us at the moment, dh wasn't paid on time last month, the money came through eventually but now worried about pay day this Friday ..... He's resigned and has another job to go to but its less annual leave allowance and less pay .... The new job means he will be using the car every day so the cruise fund has been diverted to buying a tiny second car.

So alot of belt tightening *** we don't want you to go without us!

It willl make you feel wonderful, at least, that is what it did for me - I personally loved the T-shirt that said "I'm out of estrogen and I have a gun"! I was either crying or wanted to kill someone! And I also have no idea who the Killers are

Good Morning Cruisers!

Looks like it will be a nice day here, sunny, not as windy, and almost as warm as yesterday! Today is my last day of freedom, I start work tomorrow, a change after 2 years of retirement. I am working for the 2010 Census, and they do 10 week assignments, my first starts after my training. I hope there will be more after the first! I drive to Greeley, CO (65 miles) daily for 6 days, then I should know more about what I will really be doing!

Lynn, I don't know if you are interested but here are the pics I took of the Renaissance in Barcelona. I took pics of all our hotels with the intention of posting them on trip advisor but never got around to it. And now I am figuring out how to do the whole Photobucket thing so here they are.

We too stayed at the Renaissance and it was very nice, however it seemed they were quite overwhelmed with all the cruise passengers when we showed up as we waited three hours for our room. I would put up pictures but I don't think I can yet.

We stayed at the Renaissance in May after getting of the EB TA Crossing. I agree, the hotel was overwhelmed! Our shower drove me nuts, HOT, HOT, HOT, cold, cold, cold.......

When we went back in July for the 10 night cruise we stayed at a hotel right near the bus station downtown close to where Touristca Bus picked up, it was awesome. I'll do some research and see what I can find. I did tons of research and ended up using hotels.com or something like that and we paid if I remember right somewhere around $100 for the night before. Then took a taxi right to the port the next day.
