Yay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks Gydell. I figured out that I was making excuses for something that I desperately wanted to do because I didn't want to spend money (I am a bit cheap). Welcome to my madness.

Oh and for any football (soccer) fans out there listen to this -

Disney has perhaps the most unusual sports bars at sea, tucked inside a false funnel aboard the Disney Magic and Disney Wonder. On Deck 11, the ESPN Skybox seats about 70 people and is modeled on a similar attraction at Disney's Boardwalk Resort in Orlando. Programming is extensive, and includes a potpourri of telecasts from ESPN's domestic and international operations. As many as four events can be shown at a time!.

Just right for the group stages :)

Claire ;)

Not any more, it was turned into a TEEN CLUB.
To watch sporting events via satellite , you have to go to Diversions, the Sports Bar. They have lots of screens and finger food. Nice place to watch any sport. In the states they favor College and Professional Football.

Oh at least there is still a sports bar :) Especially if they do wings and nachos :teeth:

Are the kids coming?

I have requested to be booked for all three of us. I talked to both of them about it and they both think that the flight over and back will be the most challenging part of the trip for us. We will need to figure out a strategy for that.

Ack!!! For a moment there I thought we'd kicked out the teens and turned it back into the some awesome adult venue!!! :lmao: :rotfl: :lmao:

I imagine in 2010 Diversions will be all about the World Cup qualifiers... :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

IPod's and Ninetindo's kept Brent happy on the flight from Barcelona.

The flight to London will be overnight so you should get some sleep hopefully.

OK my friends, I'm signing off now. I'll be back from WDW on October 28th and will catch up with everyone then... :goodvibes Goodnight!

Hi -- We're booked on a Cat 5, 7520 -- my name is Dale (32), and I'll be sailing with my partner (Jeff). We were on the first Med cruise in 2007 -- looking forward to all these ports! I've never been to any of these countries on the itinerary.

Welcome! I think we're all in for an amazing time.

Okay, I have been tortured long enough. It has been killing me that I am not booked on this cruise. I just sent an email to my TA to move me from the christmas 2010 to this cruise. Once I have a room, I will post all my pertinent info.

YEAH TAMMY!!

Hate to be the repeater of bad news - but the ESPN Skybox went away a few years ago....on both ships. That's where the teen club is located.

I changed us to 2631 from deck 1 - hope the others don't mind :)

I'm really trying to resist getting sucked into this thread. :-) C'mon, 600 days?! We're gonna go nuts waiting for this trip!

Nevertheless, I always say vacations are planned with wonderful anticipation, experienced with some discomfort and remembered with great fondness.

We were on the maiden Med cruise voyage and about the only downside I can think of to being the first ones is you don't have the benefits of other people's trip reports to help decide on the best shore excursions and which ports are best for doing in on our own.

Some of us have the experience of having to wait over 400 days (for the WB PC cruise booked on day 1) - but 600 is crazy!

I'm getting/reading feedback off of Fodor's Forum site - TRs and having ?s answered.

I'm excited to be on an Inagural cruise. Did you guys get special 1st time stuff on the Med cruise?
