Well, I'm throwing in the towel for today. Perhaps tomorrow will bring our reservation with assigned room just where we wanted it!!!:lmao:

Got a lot going on at home at the moment too so feeling very tired and emotional.

Hope you get things sorted Gydell. See you all tomorrow.

I threw in the towel a little while ago. I too am hoping tomorrow brings a reservation.

Gydell, I hope you get everything straightened out with your TA. Have you tried pricing it out online?

The travel company says it is but I DON"T!!!

If anyone who has a cat 10, for 2 adults, booked it this morning would they mind telling me the price? As I have said my TA has messed everything up!

Here is our breakdown:

cruise rate $ 7140.00
discount $ -714.00 onboard booking discount
fuel supp $ 192.00
tax $ 125.44
non-commission fare $ 498.00 ( think this is insurance, will remove later)
total for 2 in cat. 10 $ 7241.44

Hope you get your ressie soon.

Jen

Does the $7241.44 price include the non commission fare of $498 and what is it? Thanks!

The price does include the non-commissionable fare of $498

I believe it is insurance that was automatically added on by Disney. Our TA sent an email confirmation and mentioned that Disney usually adds on the insurance/transfers automatically and that we can remove it later.

Main thing was to get the confirmed ressie.

Alright everyone I'm going home for the day. At least it's a good tv night to help take my mind off the fiasco that was today.:lmao:

Just got my DU quote with a listed cabin number, can I transfer from DCL and keep the cabin number or do I have to cancel and rebook?

Claire ;)

We're in for this one also! I haven't heard from my TA yet, but we had a ressie to transfer so I looked it up on the DCL website and it's already been changed to the Baltic one. Cat 7 - cabin 7120 - that's one of the partially obstructed full verandas and our favorite cabin. No price details yet, but it would have to be a fairly early booking to snag a cabin like that.

Happy to be sailing with some former cruisemates: Lisa, Sue, Rita, MJgirl (although I'm not sure we actually met on the EB) and of course my running buddies, Scott and Lynn! Looking forward to meeting everyone else.

Hey Jeanne! This is great that we will get to cruise again.

Anyone else from Cruisetoberfest planning to go on this one?

In case you hadn't heard we moved to Florida this summer!!

If you want the DU cabin, just follow through with that booking and cancel your DCL one - that's what I'd do anyway... Well done! :cool1:

Well we are in!

Cabin 6548 - Lisa and Darrell :cool1:

Now we have 17 months to figure out how to pay for it :rotfl2:

Tried looking on the DCL website as to how to cancel and can't find any info :confused3

Congrats! We were in that cabin September 2007. Good location! As a matter a fact, I am a bit ticked because when I call DVC they said the entire starboard side of deck 6 was booked less than an hour after they started this morning. Maybe this was not the case. Hmm..... Oh well, after looking at the path the ship will take it really doesn't matter too much.

Glad to hear its a good spot - we weren't too sure with the laundry being so close.

It's possible it was that early - I use a TA and they said when they got thru this morning it was the first cabin they reserved. So it may have been pretty close to 8.

The laundry's not that close. The laundry is right across from 6588 on deck 6. You'll never even know it is there.

We're in:banana:

Haven't heard from our TA yet, but DCL site shows us in cabin 7620 on this cruise. There seem to be lots of familiar faces around from both the Eastbound TA and Westbound PC.

Ann

Ann,

Lol....you got close to where you were for the WB PC....we tried but ended up down the hall....

It's great to see so many former Thieves....

Yep, our neighbors, Fran and Gene will be doing this one also, but they never post. I'm sure you remember them....we shared that infamous cab ride together. :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Yes, I thought the FL address was something new.......you were from the San Diego area when we did Cruistoberfest, right?

It's OFFICIAL!!! We're booked. It'll be the standard crew, DM (a.k.a. Nana), DD7 (9 on cruise) and me!

We'll be with a bunch of others on deck 7. At least I won't have to run downstairs to do laundry! Definitely miss having a suite, but at these $$$$ I decided it was time to be frugal. The pages have been flying by so fast, I wasn't quite sure who I was supposed to send the info to:

Nana, Sue and Christina (7) in 7636, cat 5.

Now if only the stock market will rebound tons so I can pay for it!

Sue
